@@2seep no gallery gaskets and oil pump was fine. I was chasing a lean issue for a while, I think it was something to do with the fuel pump assy. But my motor was already knocking so I was still hard on it.
Take it from me. Just get a GTR. I dumped maybe 30k on my 370Z this year. It is still in the shop due to misfitting parts. My HUGE concern is if a dumbass hits me on the road, insurance will only cover 15k the car is worth.
@2seep Yep, 15k is labor only. I work on suspension, brakes, and maintenance for my cars, but electrical, fuel, and engine is off the table. We all thought it would be a 3000$ labor adventure... It kinda scaled when they found more broken things and I wanted more stuff installed. (I thought it would be a 10k labor adventure, I was wrong) The car just got the initial tune done today and then E85 tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be driving it next week.
Been thinking about trying to push 550whp - 600whp with a single top mount turbo kit on stock engine. Only thing is my stock engine has around 110k miles on it so im just not sure if it'll hold up for its age. Would be curious to know about what mileage yours was at. Good luck with the rebuild man.
@@randomperson7567 I definitely get a compression check. Mine blew up at 85,000 but I was always hard on my car, 550 to 600 is pretty reliable as long as keep up on maintenance
Stay up my man. My engine blew out after a year at 650whp on e85. I am waiting for the work to get completed on the rebuild on my 16 Nismo, which I miss dearly.
@@ltlzilla The bright side is that the supply chain issues have been resolved. It took nearly a year to get all of the parts for my built motor. Now it's a matter of getting on the schedule of the installer and tuner. I've been told the end of the month but was also told that last month.
@@ltlzilla 600whp will be plenty for me now. On the factory engine, it was a dyno queen at 685whp before getting scaled back to about 650whp. I daily drive the car, which is why I decided to go with a built engine instead of just putting in another stock engine that would go out again after 12,000 miles. I love the car, and my wife calls it my mistress.
I know the video is kind of boring but thought id give an update
Oil starvation the cause?

Dude just do the work yourself. Isn’t too hard. Guaranteed you like 15k is in labor only
