- In todays episode we sit with Moncef f Admin tuning and Oscar who owns the worlds fastest 370z 60-130 record tuned by one of the best Nissan tuners around. Moncef has been tuning Nissan's for over a decade and has made a name for himself by tuning a large amount of the Nissan communities cars. Moncef has roughly 7000 tunes under his belt and has gained a lot of experience over the years. Moncef breaks down the Nissan VQ engine platform and discusses the difference between the Nissan 350z and 370z. He also covers the capabilities of both platforms when it comes to horsepower potential. Finally got to watch this...Seems like most the shade is thrown towards my tuner, I've NEVER had tune related issues with Saul in the 10 years of tuning with him. The boost "issues" I've had with my car is because my turbo is maxed out & I always thought it was something else lol My Z went low 5's 60-130 in 2019 on my other motor with full interior & a subwoofer at only 24psi on a 6267, I just never posted numbers cause people always want to cherry pick races off draggy numbers. I never cared much to make my car faster after that, just wanted it to be fun & reliable. Ya'll not doing the impossible, you're just doing what it takes. But props gutted or not the car is moving 👍🏽

Thanks for the shoutout boys, I’m definitely making sure the G is faster this year than ever before. Learned a lot from this podcast too. In case anyone’s curious fastest 60-130 on the G was 5.82 full interior, AC and 3.3 final drive. This time 3.5 fd and even stronger engine better piping etc hopefully should beat that easily.

Moncef is one of the few tuners now that doesn’t behave like a celebrity u can actually ask the guy for advice and help with things. Big respect for him man.
Fr, I've had tuners before I went to Moncef that just flat out ignored me for months or ridiculed me for any questions they thought should have been obvious, Moncef always been humble and easy to go to for anything.

I can tell you from experience that all tuners aren’t like that. Many get annoyed or defensive if you ask them too many questions… *cough*Sonic Tuning*cough*… Like you’re bothering them AFTER you paid them

I just recently had him tune my 370z and it was an asking experience he took his time to explain everything to me, I even was saying a lot of yapping and he was humble enough to say he’s just a normal guy but he appreciated the small stuff and love. Admin the goat 🐐

2 different boosted set ups on my vq tuned by moncef stock engine still going almost 100k, dude is the truth
Moncef did a great job tuning my Blue 350z HR (daily) when it was boosted on the stock motor pushing 16-17psi for 2 years. I beat on it everyday more than any other boosted VQ owner I know of out there. Great customer service and went above and beyond when tuning my car at dyno days in Socal multiple times. I do highly recommend him to any VQ owner out there.

I feel bad for people who don’t know about moncef or for the people who wasted money on another tuner before switching.
I’ve know moncef since 2019 I remember when he had a smaller following and people gave me shit for being tuned by him. But when I first got my z and tuned by him I can count the number of loses I got on one hand and the for all my wins I’d need a chart for that shit. Number #1 question I got after I raced someone was who tf is your tuner. I don’t have the funds to push the platform like Oscar or griffen but when it came to the n/a Z’s I was definitely making a name for Admintuning on UA-cam! I honestly hope to push the platform on the supercharger side. 5 years later and still with moncef on my 2nd Z with a s/c this time.
Moncef has also won ecutek tuner award like 3 times in a row.
I’m not riding my tuner but simply speaking about how MY experience has been with him for the past 5 years! There’s a reason he’s still my go to for everything. The clout he has gotten hasn’t change a thing. He’s still the same old straight forward moncef.

I really like Moncefs attitude and approach. His videos and knowledge base prove over and over that he knows what he's talking about. You can tell that he understands the engineering of what the motor is intended to do. Listen to him in this video when he talks about air mass calculator. For guys that don't understand even just the basics of this, their tunes are probably overdone because they don't understand what theyre doing.
Easy to take the 60-130 record when sohos run was a 1/4 mile pass heatsoaking by the time it hit 60 and also had 2 gear changes in that 60-130 vs the 1 gear change needed with your car

RS Enthalpy is the reason I learned to tune myself. In 2002 I made 240whp at 7psi on my KA-T on his eprom and asked him about something and he brushed me off and slandered me behind my back (in an email chain I was sent by accident).
Many tuners have huge egos and are too busy printing money to give af. I had a recent similar experience with F80 Paul Johnson on an S55 flex fuel setup.
Monsef seems cool and if he can finish and troubleshoot a tune and actually replies to customers with explanations instead of brushing people off then that is the most important thing to me.

My best friend had a KA-T S13 that ran great on 7 pounds and had it tuned by then was driving it the next day did a pull and it spiked to like 22 pounds and spilled it's guts all over the street
KA cars were so underrated imo the srdub is not beefy enough to justify the swaps 😅😅

The DE still holds the record for fastest street car & race car & highest horsepower in torque. In the 1/4 & 1/8 tho hahahaha. Problem with vq is they blow up and have head lifting issues as well as many other things. That’s why only the top 2 record holders made over 1500hp and no one else could and its been so many years with no resolutions but I guess we will see.

If I’m not mistaking, out of ANY VQ ENGINE, the DE has been the ONLY VQ to make 2000 WHP used in a drag strip (short on my page) no HR or VHR has touched anything near 2000 HP or 1500 for that matter.
imo the issue to head lift, like they said use a good head gasket, my opinion fuck L19s unless u wanna just make 600, go for the absolute highest strength stud (ARP 625 CA) (or use 625 R35 custom fitted to VQ engine) with fuel hoops or o rings, soho has been using fuel hoops and so has silva350z on ig making over 1k
I have the Same Exact 5.5 Gen Max that’s in the Background. Moncef tuned it and man that car ran HARD! I’ll be taking it back to him again with my Turbo Setup. He def knows his shit and is the most Versatile VQ Tuner in the Game 💯🔥
