The Secret mechanic is going to bring a very fresh kind of tension across the whole series because *everyone* is on edge for very different reasons. I might end up watching more perspectives than ever because of how each persons secret will change the scene. One man's "I stole this from Lizzie and Etho just happened to be nearby" is another man's "Why did Martin do that!? I needed that!"

With Decked out videos and now Secret Life, we've all gotta be grateful to the hermits and others to help us get all this great Etho content! I've been eating too many snacks lately because of them.
The crystal and debris Etho received are because the Secret won't heal you above 30 hearts. Instead, any leftover hearts will be converted into random items.
That task is hard during early game. Not to mention it's hardcore, no one expects you to die on the first night so there's no real rush for a bed. Great job on the strat, Etho!
Man the decision to remove health regen was so good. It already “uncontrives” red names. in past series red names only didn’t kill early because of content (I.e, you don’t want to end someone’s series too fast) which I always felt was a little forced. Now they’re naturally forced to pick and choose their battles because instigating is an unrecoverable decision.
I feel like Red names have always been hesitant to start battles out of fear of dying. Instigating combat as a Red name gives your opponent the chance to kill you. It's why traps have always been popular. This system allows for hit and run attrition damage to earn kills though and that will be interesting

I absolutely love this because of how obvious it is that everyone is having an absolute blast. You can tell Etho had a big smile on his face the whole time, and there was so much laughing. New season is here! I'm hyped! So many nods at the older seasons in this, from Boat Boys to Ethubs to an potential Etho-Cleo team up. Hiding your secret behind a fake secret was a really clever strategy, a true red herring that threw people off. I love that. What an amazing start to this season, and this new rule set!
This was so extremely entertaining, I was genuinely laughing throughout the entire video. I love the dynamic of everybody on the server and watching things from your perspective, Etho, is always the best!
It would be so funny if you kept collecting other peoples beds as the series continues. I'd actually really like to see others continue with their tasks as well. As if by completing the task it became their identity for the whole series. That would be hilarious.

I feel like this series has a hint of nostalgia to it with the lack of regen like UHC- that moment where Etho and Bdubs were caving really brought me back to those days. I’ve loved every iteration of the Life series so much, and I can’t wait to see what this one holds!! Absolutely loving the concept of the tasks so far :D
I love how so many people's task was super simple and they're all hanging out and starting the new world - then there's Etho the whole time launching this whole elaborate business strategy and cover story just to eventually put people in a position where his task is even possible. XD

Do the trick with 3 people. 2) Make a fake treasure map and lead people on a wild goose chase. 3) Pretend to be villagers (make noises) and trade useless stuff with other players. 4) Make a cake and eat it in front of someone who is hungry. 5) Start a cult of something stupid and recruit followers. 6) Dress up as chicken and lay eggs in front of others. 7) Build a weird looking giant statue of yourself and ask for compliments. 8) Write a rap and perform it.

The task was beautifully done Etho! The tactic of giving out beds to people, pretending that your task is to get people to sleep, and sneaking carefully in the right timing, everything was just done very well and the fact that you made it just in time was the cherry on top

New season is here! I'm hyped! So many nods at the older seasons in this, from Boat Boys to Ethubs to an potential Etho-Cleo team up. Hiding your secret behind a fake secret was a really clever strategy, a true red herring that threw people off. I love that. What an amazing start to this season, and this new rule set!

It would be so funny if you kept collecting other peoples beds as the series continues. I'd actually really like to see others continue with their tasks as well. As if by completing the task it became their identity for the whole series. That would be hilarious.

I feel like this series has a hint of nostalgia to it with the lack of regen like UHC- that moment where Etho and Bdubs were caving really brought me back to those days. I’ve loved every iteration of the Life series so much, and I can’t wait to see what this one holds!! Absolutely loving the concept of the tasks so far :D
I love how so many people's task was super simple and they're all hanging out and starting the new world - then there's Etho the whole time launching this whole elaborate business strategy and cover story just to eventually put people in a position where his task is even possible. XD

1) Follow someone when they are holding food and wander around if they switch it. Do the trick with 3 people.
2) Make a fake treasure map and lead people on a wild goose chase.
3) Pretend to be villagers (make noises) and trade useless stuff with other players.
4) Make a cake and eat it in front of someone who is hungry.
5) Start a cult of something stupid and recruit followers.
6) Dress up as chicken and lay eggs in front of others.
7) Build a weird looking giant statue of yourself and ask for compliments.
8) Write a rap and perform it.
