Hello Bill, my name is Rui. Excellent choice, in my humble opinion these are the best tires i´ve ever used , they are very, very good. My favorites. I liked the explanation/disassembly of the wheels and means(tools). I do the same in my "garage", removing the wheels, replacing the tires and, of course, balancing them, i use the MAX2H EVO 2 Tire Changer and The Balancing Stand, you save a lot of money doing it yourself, it´s very easy. From what I've seen in previous videos I'm sure it would be very easy for you. Anyway, talking about the tires, excellent choice undoubtedly. The Bridgestone Battlax RS11 are very good, i´m sure but these Cup2 are much better, for track and street, as Michelin says "A race tire made for street". Um grande abraço de Portugal (A big hug from Portugal)
how were the tires balanced? i got carbon rims as well and looking for a shop to install new tires.. where do you take yours ?
What are your thoughts on the Rs 11 vs power cup ?
Does your speedometer show a little less speed with the cup 2
Try to put some wood plank under the rear wheel.
It doesn't fall when you get the wheel off, and when you get it on it's aligned with the axi hole.
Not a very pro tip but helps a lot.
Lol I have the pitbull wheel holder thing that is a pain in the ash
Cup 2s rule. It's a shame they had a huge price price hike last month, no more getting a set for $420.
Yea shits getting expensive... soon I'm not going to be able to afford to ride on the track
@2:39 just noticed the single R didn't come with the fancy Gilles blocks for the rear axle like the MRR. The groove in my rear axle is also different from my k67 which is black to the silver one on my k66. Now I've got to go measure to see if there is a difference before my brain malfunctions! Hope to hear good new from BMW on why your pistons played a game of WACK FU@$ with the cases on this beautiful single R.
Recommend captive wheel spacers. Makes all the juggling of brake caliper, chain and axel fitting so much easier without the spacers popping out.
I have a s1000r and they talking about a 4 weeks until they can get me in… I’m about to do everything step by step in this video so I can ride !!
Thanks for the vid. I'm coming up on 2500 miles on the stock Bridgestone tires on my S1KRR and just hit the wear bars in the middle of the rear. Was contemplating doing it myself or taking it to the shop, but it seems pretty easy so I think I'll tackle it myself in my garage.
Is the m1000rr the same twr chain adjusters as the m1000r competition
What psi for fast canyon riding ? 34 f 36 rear ?
Dogs make bike videos - always :)
I had the TWM chain adjusters on my S1000RR but didn’t like the way the washer covered the markings - kind of defeats the purpose. A good solution is to get a Gilles titanium nut which doesn’t need the washer and doesn’t obscure the markings on the adjuster. Also looks very nice - like a piece of jewelry
Awesome... it was one thing I didn't like was the markings are covered. Gilles bolt coming soon
Hey buddy love the bike you should get yourself some HB Icon ratchets so your not struggling with those dinosaur toothed old craftsman ratchets. They’re reasonably priced if you don’t want to spend Snap On, MAC, Matco kind of money on tools. Icons are really great for the price.
Why ??
They work, just fine.
Put your money into the bike!! For the latest , greatest, go fast parts.
Instead.
What tank grips are you using? Just got my m1000r and not sure if anyone has them yet. Will the ones off my s1000rr fit? Love the videos!
Same tank.
Torque setting for the rear axle nut in the owner manual is 125n with the Twn chain adjuster they recommend 100n ?
I also want to know which we should use? its 25% different, although100Nm is pretty tight.
Hey Bill! Just wondering what tyres you look off? They looked pretty much new.
Yea took off the Bridgestone that came on the bike
What is the size of the back tire?
Seems like you would be a perfect candidate for a underslung break conversion from Motomillion. Mani are you seeing this. Maybe He’ll send you a kit
Oops Brakes
Dixon is a good apprentice
Great video!
I have to say I have tool envy when I see your shop. Looks like a well used workspace.
This ole garage?? Lol
@@CaliMotoTV context / my garage was converted to a studio, so all I have is a motorbike wide section between the panel lift door and the acoustic barrier installed. One day I will reclaim the garage in full, but I do get to hear lots of very good music played by my son and his band.
T45... torx drive. Not mm.
Can't wait to see this thing rip on he track
We all knew what he meant,
Why be that one guy???
@@metalted6128 I'm not trying to be that guy. It's not the first time he's done it either. This video might be used as a guide for someone someday, might be nice if he used the proper name for the tools he used.
Top job Bill 🍻
Seems like $100 a wheel is worth the money
Not when you change them as often as I do.
Bill, what size tyres do you run on you S1000R?
190
@@CaliMotoTV are 200 not suitable?
Is the Michelin cup better than the Pirelli Diablo 4?
I'll take Michelin over Pirelli any day!
@@CaliMotoTV I will try them out.
Are the tires street legal or only track?😊
They are DOT legal tires
@@CaliMotoTV ok thx
