- The Resident Evil 3 Remake is coming soon... In fact very soon! So I thought I'd have a quick look back at the original Resident Evil 3: Nemesis to search for some hidden details, secrets and easter eggs.
I used the title 'What WOULD be outside' as of course, we can't really get 'outside' the areas like we normally would, when looking at a pre-rendered game!

The character models are absolutely stunning for the time. This is partly due to using pre rendered backgrounds which leaves more compute power to render polygonal objects.
Sure, but the resolution here is amped through emulation. On PSX the models would look all jumbled in FF8 "most handsome guy" fashion.
Dino crisis didn't use pre rendered backgrounds and had better character models.
I know compare them to Metal Gear Solid's models

I still prefer the original R3 to the remake. I think the original is still scarier. The remake is a little more action focused without the eerie wind sounds.

That woman at 9:40 is Dario Rosso's lost daughter... He said that he lost her out there on the streets... Probably he thought she was dead but he was wrong in fact she almost made it back to her father who was already dead. Just one door for her to find out her fathers gone... Sad.

Ebrahim Kakhi I dont wanna spoil anything but If youre a long time fan of the original game then youll be most likely very disappointed... All I can say is that almost all the nostalgic locations you would like to see got cut.

10:00 I recall these survivor models being used in the mercenary mode, you can find them in specific location but only in specific time upon which you rescue them and they give you reward ammo/health/weapons.
Plus you missed one other survivor dude being eaten near the beginning of the game.
Also could've shown both Dario models and if he truly stays in the closet.

The only random things in RE 3 are the solution to the puzzles, nothing else. Every puzzle can have 3/4 solutions to them, that's all the randomness that game had.

Dude this is so awesome even still there is more that we didnt know about found in this game after so many years,and here i thought i was the one who probably played this game more times than anyone and life finding my own stuff nobody has throughout the years(and not posting it sorry too lazy i guess)but just DUDE so awesome you found yet even more youre the man!! I'm okay with her, the only time that I had a heart attack because of her is because of the chainsaw sisters and shit, managing to fight those two psycho's while trying to save Ashley, jesus.
To be honest RE4 is a walk in a park and you are saving a teen while what really is idiotic and painly annoying is RE5's constant babysitting Sheva who is btw a sepcial forces trained and experienced personel yet dies in the first five minutes of gameplay.
Way better than Remake!!!! RE3 classic all the way!!!!!
It's a matter of opinion :) The original is a masterpiece in what it did for immersion for its time, but it hasn't aged well, like all the classic RE games it has to be said. RE3 remake is a dissapointment in what could've been in terms of content and Nemesis having the same smart AI of Mr X from the RE2 remake, but it's still a fun game and alot better than I was expecting it to be and I'll probably replay it more than I ever would the original.
CEWIIH Thats the problem with modern video game mentality if its realistic it must be good but if the graphics are bad the game is bad... Truth is what makes a video game immortal is the original soundtrack, the original story line, the original sounds and scripts. Not the realistic better graphics factor.... Better graphics and mechanics do not make a classic
The remake pissed me off 15 minutes in after I got an ideas where they took it and how they butchered the story along with the game feeling smaller than the original.
That's some amazing work on the models.

The floating torsos are probably a leftover of RE2, in 2 you could destroy zombies torsos with the shotgun so they had and extra broken torso part that load when that happens, in RE3 some zombies have 2 torso in the model files but both are exactly the same IIRC.
Can you see what was dario rosso doing in the container and when did he actually come out and become zombie feast?

I always thought the woman who dies is the daughter of Dario Rosso trying to make it back to her father back in the days xD. Mainly this was because I translated "lost my daughter out there" with literally lost out of sight.
EDIT: Also the french walkthrough guide I got with the game sort of says so... however I can't speak french ^^'
I played this game as a child and never noticed the giant face in the sky at 9:58. I’m gonna have nightmares about it now. Thanks Capcom. 🥲
It never occurred to me that camera manipulation would even be possible in these games, and it tripped me out to see the characters move around and the backgrounds stay put, but after a few minutes, I wrapped my head around it and it was like "well duh"

I honestly wish we could get more games with a pre rendered background like in these older gems. It would be a very nice touch for us gamers over 30. The technology back then demanded it, but today it would just be fun and nostalgic. I'd play the hell out of a fixed camera pre-rendered resident evil game released in 2020.

I can't believe how much the second-rate Capcom team/outsource companies cut out of the remake... They actually put a stand-your-ground horde mode segment in there... What the actual Fuck?! I thought they were trying to separate themselves from Resident Evil 4, 5 and 6 with these games. Don't get me wrong it's a good game & it's fun. It's just not as good as it should've been didn't get that attention that the RE2 Remake got, the attention that it deserved... Hey at least there's a ton of ammo even on The Inferno difficulty... Changing Brad's iconic death that he earned for leaving you at the mansion in Resident Evil, just to change how Marvin got his stomach wound and why he reiterates to Leon not to hesitate uniform or not... Yeah I guess that was cool, they connected it like that but they could've just done it with another cop that Marvin knew that was turning into a zombie not Fuckin chicken heart Brad Vickers!!? Not having Jill go back to the RPD!!! Oh all those holes that are punched through the walls of the RPD must have been Nemesis!!! Right? I mean it was so Fuckin obvious to make that tie in but, NOPE!!! Only one of the holes is explained and it's because Carlos had to blow a hole through the shower room... If they were so concerned with continuity they could have shown Leon's shotgun, Magnum &/or Claire's M79 or MAC-11 in the weapons locker & S.T.A.R.S. armory just not accessible to Carlos, even could've had him make a comment like "Damn, I could use one of those right now!!!" Cuz it's like who the hell went through the trouble of locking up those 4 really useful weapons in the few hours after Carlos left the RPD?!! It wasn't Marvin's ass!!! Cutting out so many sections, enemies & degrading the ones that they kept... The Drain Deimos is shrunk down, they're just to make a phallic joke, only in one area & I couldn't believe they only took 3-5 9mm rounds to kill!!? These things used to be deadly beasts that stood over 6ft tall when they charged you on their hind legs!!! Shit one of the only things they got right was finally putting an actual semi-automatic shotgun in a Resident Evil game, not a shotgun that should be semi-automatic, that looks semi-automatic but they still pump it... I do appreciate the love they had for Glocks & Benelli, just like myself!!! 👍👍👍 They butchered Nemesis & all of his encounters/boss fights... Jill's voice actor was awesome so was the new Carlos & everyone else. But what the Fuck they absolutely ruined Nikolai's character and story arc!!! Completely wasted him. So Fuckin lazy... I mean come on NEST 2?! LOL 😂 that just so happens to be under the hospital, yes I know they were trying to expand on the small laboratory that was in the hospital in the original game, that had the Hunter Gammas & Betas. They were so lazy they couldn't even animate a leaping attack for the Hunter Beta!?! That's like Resident Evil sacrilege, that's like having zombies that don't bite they just swing their arms at you... Hunters are specifically known for their leaping attack that will decapitate you if you're health is low... But nope, just like the RE2 Remake team recycled the four-legged Molded leaping attack (from RE7) for the Licker's leaping attack. Yes I know I'm bitching a lot but guess what Resident Evil 3 is my favorite Resident Evil game. I was really looking forward to seeing it done justice pretty much like the RE2 Remake was. Hey at least they had more dialogue & cutscenes in this game between the main characters... 🙄🤦♂️ That ending Jesus Fuckin Christ, only one ending, Nikolai's motive is money like it was in the original game but he had no mission, like wiping out the other supervisors & collecting combat data on all the B.O.W.s not just between Jill & Nemesis... I knew there wouldn't be any spiders or crows and once they said Grave Digger was cut I knew there wouldn't be any small sliding worms, what would be the point just tease, "oh hey here's the babies for the boss that we cut out"... Last but not least No Barry saving the day... I knew it wasn't gonna be included but it really hit me hard just seeing Carlos & Jill get into the helicopter & fly away. They went to the trouble of changing the ending but they didn't even bother adding in a cutscene at the end. Good game just really really really Fuckin disappointing. Hey at least they made it a point to show that the Milkor MGL grenade launcher doesn't shoot semi-automatic like it should because it was actually a refurbished model and that's why Jill has to turn the cylinder after each shot... Good attention to detail, got to give credit where credit's due I guess. They cut all those enemies or changed themjust so we could get a four-legged velociraptor chicken Licker Nemesis hybrid... That hides from you?! WTF?! He's supposed to be relentless never stopping his pursuit of trying to kill you!!! Because they changed how he turnswe missed out on one of the best death animations in Resident Evil history, Nemesis in his 2nd form grabbing Jilll or Carlos & slamming them against the ground over & over & over with his tentacles!!!

Yes! Proof that RE3 doesn't just reuse all the zombie models from RE2 (like lots of people online seem to claim, for some reason xD).
They must be blind as bats, as even back in 1999 it was plain obvious that none of the assets were being re-used.

For me this original resident evil 3 had my favorite game mechanics gameplay than resident evil 3 remake in 3rd person, this one and another ps1 resident evil game except in all resident evil we get from now in current consoles. You can't look around and the camera angle is fixed.
Besides of the graphics, this RE3 have a better environment and feel than the remake..
The first ever RE games I've played and finished it so many times..

hey great stuff you missed few things: nikolay when crawling back from the supervisors room the survivor guy gets eaten in the street where you climb the ladder to get green herbs dario inside the closet the grave digger underground twice in the park and in the city hall the zombies behind the barrickade when your burn the rope brad shooting at the zombies near his bar , brad before nemesis kills him , nemesis when carlos return to the clock tower with the cure you can hear smashing the walls , the umbrella guy scene in the hospital , nikolay jump out of the window in the hospital nikolay when he shoots you and then nemesis kills him and more that i can't rememer we part2 great job

I think the girl you talk about at the end of the video is Dario's daughter. Earlier, he tells to Jill that he lost her outside. So I guess after running around the streets, she tried to reach the warehouse where her father works , trying to find safety, and hopping to find him I guess. And what is the most tragic is that she just died in front of the warehouse door.
Later in the game you can go back in the warehouse and you find Dario's body on the floor being eaten by zombies. So I guess after hearing the screams when the girl died, he kind of recognized his daughter's voice and tried to go out of his container, but then he was attacked by zombies and didn't suceed to escape them.
I 'm not sure of what I'm saying but that's the way I understood this scene when I saw it as a kid, maybe it's my imagination ^^

I always wonder whats written on plaques of fountain puzzle. Never thought it's about excrements. In neural upscale mod for dolphin emulator, those plaques was fixed with writting whatever it's suppose to be there, instead of mirrored excrements text.

Nemesis was my first game I've played on purpose and even finished it on hard. I was 10 and my older brother moved out, so he leave me his Dreamcast with tons of sport games I wasn't interested in at all. But once I told my classmate I now have Dreamcast and it's games kinda sucks - he gave me CDs with some real shit like UT, Soul Reaver, DoA 2, Tomb Raider Chronicles and RE3 Nemesis. Oh boy, that was some turning point of my childhood. I tried them all, they're all my top games ever no matter how big my gaming experience gets in future. But somehow RE3 causes the most nostalgia. It's atmosphere, ambient sounds of undead howling, narrow streets of some Japanese town they've tried to disguise as American town which only adds to the atmosphere. And surprisingly it's a very good example of horror game. Played it just yet on the emulator and in some moments it was scary like no modern horror could scare me today. So much good memories, thanks for the video.

Funnily enough, I did look at that, There isn't much to see tbh, It's practically just a blank screen although I do remember the screen had wierd holes in the texture.

9:30 That's Dario Rosso's daughter, the manager/failed writer that locks himself in the container in the next room. He is also found dead if you go inside and you can find his dairy. Great video!
