Ada the Spy / Assignment Ada is a non-canon minigame. It does not occur in the main series canon, and is a self-fcontained 'what-if' scenario. The idea is that the main campaign never happened, Ashley Graham was never abducted, Leon was never sent to Spain, and Ada finally had the good sense to wear some tactical gear on a mission instead of the more fashionable stuff. It is a one-shot 'what if' story with no place in the official Biohazard canon.

Of course it isn't canon. It's a minigame that recycles assets from the main game. It's more of a 'what-if' scenario; what if Los Illuminados never kidnapped Ashley, and thus Leon never came to get her, and if Ada had more common sense when choosing her wardrobe for missions.
The reason it was made at all is that the original GameCube devs needed a minigame about Ada at last minute, since they realized Separate Ways wouldn't make the cut. One can notice that the last stages of Separate Ways (the ship battle, etc) were not finished by the original GC team, but by the PS2 dev team.
And your point is...? I mean, it's great trivia that I didn't know, so good on you for teaching someone that. But it's not exactly relevant to this particular subject. I just said that the minigame is not canon because of the uploader's confusion about 'when Assignment Ada is set'.
about the assignment ada mini game it's just there to earn a weapon. Just like mercenaries & hunk is just there to break necks.
So playing in Separate Ways as Ada, I found a massive game break! using cheats and the emulator, I was able to clip the walls in the church. The devs forgot to remove the side door and if you happen to open the door with Ada, you end up playing the main story. From here the game gets very glitchy, will crash and all the enemies disappear. Was able to rescue Ashley and reached the Mendez fight which ends with him vanishing. Couldn't get any further than that.

You can do the same thing on several places. Before you go to the cabin where luis is, noclip through the side of the tunnel and you can get in the cabin without the cutscene triggering, also, you will see a green OPEN trigger near the small woodshed where the merchant is, if you push the action button on it, you'll go to the next level. You can do the same in chapter 4 where you use the grapple gun to save leon, you have to noclip trough the fence and go to where the door to the laser room is. You'll find a secret ladder that takes you up, so you can go to where leon and krauser are fighting and there's nothing there. And if you go trough the laser room door, you go to the next level as well.

Thats pretty cool, I dont have Separate Way as it didnt feature on the Gamecube version. I'd like to see that though if you do make a recording of it!

Damn, i could make a full video out of all that haha. I can answer a few of those now though.
1. They only appear when you trigger the sequence so they are not there at first.
2. He only appears inside the oven when you hit the trigger distance, its just empty before.
3. I think i know the 'giant lizard' you mean, When the cages fall and he falls with it, It just disappears once out of sight from the camera.
4. I may make a 30second video of that and upload on my twitter!
5. Same as above if i can find that point in my saves.
How about
1) After you encounter Mendez after 1-2, if you go back into the room you exited from, there is a hidden cutscene with Ada Wong. Is Ada and Mendez there?

Actually, after I free him, I follow him to the fence he jumps over. He just runs through the tree textured wall. So yeah he just runs through the texture and disappears😂😂😂.

This type of exploits actually show how developers work out some minor problems in production.
1. Cut-scene doesn't have to load all assets at all times. Only load the assets that are currently shown on screen.
2. When you need to shove some item in the player's face (Playing Manual) you put it outside of the map like a normal item and then just call "pick up item" script when the player has to see it.
3. When enemies are malforming, you hide textures inside the enemies and use it as animation.
4. To add variety to enemies' looks, just slap additional texture over existing texture, like an eyepatch.
I love RE4. Best in the series for me.
I've got to admit other than RE1 (for nostalgia and just being a great game) RE4 was probably my Fav.
I'm sure I'll get bullshit called on this, but there's something I remember from a really old RE4 video that was here on youtube. A guy had used cheats or something to move the camera freely and was messing around with it, and in one of the first few areas in the village, he moved the camera down beneath the floor, and when he went down far enough it switched from the village to the area where you fight the boss U3, complete with the music. There was a frozen model of U3 there that was holding a model of Wesker from the mercenaries and had its tentacles through the neck. When the guy moved the camera back up the model/area/music went away and the underside of that area came back. Think it was the area where you first see the medallions with the little barns and the well. I don't know if it was legit or just some clever editing with a model viewer/model he made, but I remember seeing it.

Well eyepatches aren't historically used to hide bad eyes, they're used to have an eye that's accustomed to darkness so you can go under the deck on a ship at sea without tripping over everything.

My personal theory - The pilot is the merchant. I mean this might be true! The merchant is still a mystery even to this day. Think about it. He might be an agent of Wesker sent to investigate Leon or maybe also kept his eyes on Ada since Ada can also communicate with him in her own campaign & she can't be trust. Wesker isn't an idiot.
The eyes - The merchant's eyes look normal at first but they turn kinda red later in the game. It means he might injected himself with the plaga or some kinda virus he kept with him. Why? To avoid the local infecteds' threat. Camouflage! How can he control the virus or the parasite for a long time? He might also have the same pills like Leon. Forget about the re-spawns. It's only bcoz he's an essential part of the game & they can't remove him from the entire game even you killed him.
What kinda crazy man might run a business in such place & the currency on that island is outdated and can't use in modern areas of the world.
He also have high tech & powerful weapons such as P.R.L 412 & Handcannon.
Also the upgrade parts for weapons.

The pilot's eyes are kinda orange for nothing bros. It's the Merchant Easter-egg which players can't be find easily & they just wanted to keep the Merchant being a mystery.

please please take a look at another spot outside the map in the gamecube version of the game i did a out the map glitch in the farm area were you first see blue charm things you shoot ok so the best way to explain is under the map under the well that you get either dirty necklace or pearl necklace if you shot the board to close it before shooting the treasure ok so outside you could get items and the opposite version of the treasure that was placed outside the map also off in the distance was another file that i could see with the sniper but never able to actually get to it i would love to know what this file is and seeing in this video your the man to make it happen i would say the general area for this search is under the map under the well/hut with the save typewriter and its not to deep under the map

I know this is a super late reply, but does the thing with the note mean that all the out-of-bounds random items and ammo is just pre-loaded in to be called into place as the item drops when you kill random enemies?

There is nothing there ColdStone, It just gives you the impression something is with the way the camera moves and the sound effects :)

На счет пилота в Ada Assigment не стоит забывать, что действие этого дополнения происходит только в ТОМ случае, если бы Леон не прибыл на свое задание и никак иначе.
В то время как Separate Ways происходит во время прибывание Леона на материке и не островке. Это дает собственно понять, насколько была бы проще миссия Ады вонг если бы не похитили дочь президента и Леон не спутал бы все планы усложнив казалось бы простое задание. Что касается Майка, он обыкновенный наемник, то есть фактически его могла нанять и корпорация Амбрелла в лице Вескера как пилота вертолета он совсем не должен быть постоянным военным на службе у государства, в сша на сколько я знаю и такое допускается. Такие дела.
Но скорее всего. это просто одна и та же модель и разработчики решили не заморачиваться XD
