i mean old hockenheim with extreme long tow what do you expect... really wanna see what todays car would archive in quali spec on old hockenheim, my guess is somewhere along 380kph
@@R9naldo v10s and todays cars reach the same top speed at monza. Back then they could abuse the curbs a lot harder. Put todays cars on old monza and the record will be broken in a few laps
@@nevercommitsuicide haha total bs. Which curbs did they abuse? Today's cars need the DRS to pull them along and they still barely reach the same speeds. Put 2004/2005 F1 cars on any modern circuit and give them slicks, and oh my god the speeds would be too much
What a wonderful reminder of how great formula 1 used to be when the cars looked good and sounded great with them magnificent v10 engines when the king Micheal Schumacher was dominating and you had great racing tracks like the old hockenheim the f2001 was a beauty and still is a beauty
Honest question - do you think that layout would actually be good for races nowadays? Don't we get enough straight-line racing in Monza? It would probably be a boring race.
I really miss the sound of those V16s. F1 has not been F1 without them. Lewis Hamilton? More like Lewis SHAMilton! Bring back these babies and save F1 from the claws of the woke snowflake hippy-commies!!!
6:23 - OMG that shifting tho, legend, nonetheless. Dayum!
it's pretty similar in today car. At least the ferrari gearbox.
Automatic shifting probably helped a lot 🤷♂️
Wallad you mean the automatic shifting? :D
Real clown shit, right???
"Real drivers"
Loved how the top 2001 cars like Ferrari, McLaren, Williams all had close ratio gear boxes amazing to listen to.
Most of the cars had automatic upshifts in this era.
You can feel the Power!
Very powerful Ferrari V 10 and without reliability problems.
0:25 my goodness Mika was flying 359km those v10s were not kidding

@@nevercommitsuicideDon't be snarky
@@nevercommitsuicide no lol. 2000s V10s were faster. Thats why they still hold the Monza lap record and average speed record

FEARLES JUST HARDCORE.
Too bad they butchered the old Hockenheim, what a terrible waste :(
It was a blast through the forest with two meaningful chicanes... Not a great loss, although it was quite scenic.

Guilherme Schmidt plus there would be a lot of transmission failures due to the prolonged high speeds
CJ Nemetz as the saying goes don’t make em like they used to
This car was sold at auction for $7.5 million.
My favorite Ferrari F1 car.
F2004 was better
@@fredcole7683 for me no. I adore this one.
