Why don’t you post the entire quote - he is all for open source for US gov, academics and entrepreneurs, and obviously concerned about giving our IP to rogue states like Russia. What, you only watch videos on random 10 sec clips?
Absolutely insightful talk on the future of AI in consumer businesses. For entrepreneurs looking to leverage AI, consider utilizing predictive analytics to enhance customer experiences - it's a game-changer for personalization and retention strategies, often overlooked but incredibly potent in driving growth.
Excellent observation on Tesla Investment belief in the company as a Software company that builds industry replacement quality cars, but is blind to the consequences of the results of AI Software devaluation of the "Horse and Buggy" mentality as happened when ICE upgraded the application of horsepower.
So a guy who is invested in AI thinks it's ok to make free use of other people's work to train an AI- I can't say this is a surprising alignment. I wonder if the AI developers would have such an open minded view if their own expensively trained models were somehow made available to be used for free- somehow I doubt it- I think they might feel that their work should enjoy precisely the protections from casual appropriation that they deny everyone else.
@@donfreeman5679 My point was that outfits like open AI clearly regard their models as propriatary data which they have exclusive rights to exploit- in marked contrast to their complete disregard for the propriatary data of other people which they have exploited without either permission or payment. And as was pointed out recently in the case of AI the data is the programme- so there is a very real and direct utilisation of third party IP in the fabric of these products.
You @James-mk8jp should rather be honest and rectify like this : "I know absolutely nothing about what this brillant guy is talking about, so can someone help me understand". You know what? We'll be happy to.
Can’t wait to see the list.
"The problem with open sourcing the models is they put the capabilities in the hands of everybody" -Reid Hoffman, 2024
Great quote! People who invested in the “closed” hate open source AI!

Zero conversation about the impact of AI on education. The interviewer clearly wanted to avoid it
He seems like someone that read the Wikipedia page about AI then decided to start giving interviews. Much OODA about nothing!
Why he thinks no human being knows about oceanography, game theory and expert models is beyond me.
Well, how much do you know about oceanography?
He knows next to nothing about what he’s talking about
