Speaking of the power fluctuations, I just read an article on using renewable energy like solar for desalinization of water for drinking. The process would automatically increase and decrease the process based on availability of energy. You could tie these things together so that as more energy is required for a specific process, it takes away from the 24/7 process of desalination or give it back so that energy plants cash run at full speed, or whatever is the most efficient. Water can be stored, so it can always be made ahead to keep up with needs, and power can shift back and forth where needed. That's just one example, but we can find more I'm sure that would help offset the costs and demands of creating drinking water where needed.

The chivalrous guy would take off his jacket while walking with a lady when they came up to a puddle. Energy usage will become one of the lesser problems and can be addressed with relatively simple management solutions, mass psychology transitions are another thing altogether.
Let me try to counter it. There are hard problems that are impossible to solve today, but AI will help to solve. That's where the new jobs will be created.
yeah thats a current common challenge being discussed, I don't see many talking about really tangible scalable solutions. That will inevitably correspond with unemployment, and unemployment has shown that that leads to increased deaths too unfortunately
