    This goes to show that blenders power is in Keyboard Shortcuts. Learn your shortcuts boys and girls ;) Absolutely amazing btw thanks so much for the killer time-lapse.

    ctrl+f/triangulate faces and ctrl+f/wireframe. Nice use of that feature BTW

    amazing! great model
    you mind to explain how did you created the antenna tower? i didn't got what you did to split the faces diagonally and create the frame for it
    thanks

      Felipe SD For the frame i used the Wire frame function.
      In Edit Mode select all faces with [a], and hit [Ctrl] and [F] and select Wire frame.
      But today I would use a Modifier-setup like this:
      3dartdh.wordpress.com/?attachment_id=2781
      1- Triangulate Modifier
      Quad Method = Fixed
      2- Wireframe Modifier
      Thickness = 0.14
      Offset = 0.0
      hope it helps

      But wireframe creates a more "clean" polys model right?

    you can slow it to 0.25 to follow the steps

    How did you add the new edges from the corners of the windows to the corners of the walls to keep it all quads? Is there a shortcut for it?

    • @DennisH2010
      @DennisH2010  9 років тому +3

      First, I deleted all the windows up on a window, then I separated the last window with [P] > [Selection] from the wall mesh to get a separate object for the windows. At 0:31 I Duplicate this object with [ALT] + [D].
      I have worked with the Grid Floor, so I only need to hold the [Ctrl] when I move a window, so the corners of the windows fit into the corners in the wall perfectly.

    This is awesome, how did you construct the curves along the piping? It doesn't look like you just extruded it, nor did you use a bezier.

    • @bokudensatsujin
      @bokudensatsujin 8 років тому +1

      +Joshua Hedges Looks like he's using the Spin option on the left toolbar. You basically select the areas you want to curve and place the 3d cursor in the direction you want to them to curve to. Then you can use the Spin tool on the left to make them curve towards the 3d cursor placement, there are a few options there.

    How did you simultaneously model all windows? did you use the array modifier?

    • @FoundationsofPause
      @FoundationsofPause 8 років тому +1

      Use individual origins as your pivot point, grab all the frames and begin extruding and scaling.

    • @taizeenm.7888
      @taizeenm.7888 9 років тому

      David Boura If you slow it down to 0.25 you can understand what he's doing fairly easily

      When you slow down a speed-up video you loose tones of frames.
