Hearing a musician saying "we think we're crazy, these people are nuts!" about actors reminded me of college: people in the music department were sure that the only people crazier than music majors were theater majors.
@@thedude4672yeah but they are a calm sort of crazy lol. Actors are on another level :) Tbh I think many actors are musicians and vice versa. That’s why segueing is so easy for many of them :)
these were classic times with future Icons. What memories were made. Oh to be a fly on the wall during the original casts run. Wouldve been great. Bill and Chevy were both the funniest men on screen when i was a kid, that was until Eddie Murphy joined the cast years later.
Chevy (admittedly) full of himself plus John telling Billy stuff that wasn't true about Chevy = a fist fight from out of nowhere and everybody freaking out. I think Chevy saw a chance to reach a higher plateau and he took it. They shouldn't have been so crushed to the point of being pissed at him that he moved on.
Yes, he did. Joel McHale has a chapter dedicated to "How to Fight Chevy Chase" in his autobiography or memoir. He talks about it on a podcast you can look up.
You can kinda tell by Murrays reaction to Stern saying that, he did not want to dig into the fact things were probably NOT good yet between them during caddyshack.
Chevy was not very good and derived most of his suscess from being associated with other cast members. Chevy's ego far exceeded any talent he may have had.
This is an excellent compilation! Well done, Stern Show staff.
lol

Crazy? Perhaps. Egomaniacs? Undoubtedly.
You should've met the philosophy majors

Definitely on a whole other level of eccentric
THIS IS THE MOST BRILLIANT COMPILATION!! I feel we actually got the real story finally. BRILLIANT!!
Nice editing continuity.
Chevy Chase seems to create friction where he goes. The cast of Community seems to feel the same way the SNL crew did.
Most of the really talented people do.
@@Me97202 not really
@@Me97202 OK, but what's Chevy's excuse?
this just popped into my mind - could you imagine COMMUNITY with Bill Murray?
YES!
Nh, Pierce is a perfect character
The strangest insult I've ever heard in my life is from this story: "MEDIUM TALENT!"
That one definitely cut Chevy too
It's so funny though, I hope it goes down in history with the legend.
God bless John and Gilda....
yep it wouldve been nice to have them a bit longer. To see an aging John Belushi…. I guess their stars burned too bright too fast some say.
Hard to imagine Chevy ever being on the Stern show.
Nice to get the different, if not differing, POVs here. 👌🏻
I think this is the first time I noticed Chevy's NY accent. I love it!
Nothing to be proud of 😅
That accent is streets ahead

Did not realize that Lou in Caddyshack was Bill Murray’s brother.
he was in a lot of movies with him
Varmint Cong.
A lot of people have talked about what an absolute nightmare of a human being Chase is. So this was probably all his fault.
I have also heard repeatedly that Bill is in the same category too.
Chevy playing against character would be incredible. Chevy on SOPRANO'S etc.
Chevy playing bail bondsman in PULP FICTION. Only a juicier part/role.
This will be gold if they make a movie out of this which they should
It now appears that they have. Coming out Oct 11 2024.
Marilyn Suzanne Miller taught a 7-10 pm Monday night film
school comedy writing class. We were, still are honored.
Impeccable editing!

All 3 great on screen.
Is it me or does Billy’s New Yorker accent seem a lot more pronounced than it did when he was younger?
A "fight" in miniscule terms
Chevy just exploded. Cover of every huge magazine.
National phenomenon. How can you handle that.
hard to imagine any two less liked SNL alumni than Chase and Murray.
Conversely, I liked Garrett Morris the best out of all of them.
By all accounts, you'd be hard pressed to find two bigger a-holes than Bill Murray and Chevy Chase.
yup
Yup.
Don Henley and Glen Frey?

Ooh……good one!
Don’t care they’re entertaining. Bill not as much as Chevy but he’s solid
Everybody was probably coked out back then lol
Lol!
All's well that ends well
Remember the Chevy Chase show? That was awesome.
Owww
Awesome failure lol

Bill's inability to know when its not a good time to joke around, meets Chevy's serious anger management issues. ;)
Great stuff
Chevy got into it with the cast of community as well didn’t he?
Yes, he did. Joel McHale has a chapter dedicated to "How to Fight Chevy Chase" in his autobiography or memoir. He talks about it on a podcast you can look up.
He got into it with the cast of just about everything he’s been in
He threw a punch at Robin after this interview
@@TechnologicallyTechnicalthat tends to happen with egomaniacs 😂
WHERES THE FULL BILL MURRAY INTERVIEW I can only find the whole thing on soundcloud
When it comes to Murray and Chase, I adopt Thumper's philosophy.
Brian Doyle-Murry gave Chevy a Jelly of the Month Club Bonus for picking a Fight with his Brother!!!
Whatever happened to the Howard Stern and Chevy Chase feud???
Billy Deus ex Machina hat 🔥
Gotta couple of oversized egos acting really tough.
Love the Deus cap!
Classic
well done!!
I don't get it Bill said he and Chevy were fine after, but I heard that on Caddy Shack they only did one scene together because they didn't get along.
You can kinda tell by Murrays reaction to Stern saying that, he did not want to dig into the fact things were probably NOT good yet between them during caddyshack.
Bill didn’t want to be in Chevys shadow. Chevy made caddy shack
No, Bill Murray made Caddyshack. He has that going for him.
Which is Nice

Given the sheer amount of shit chevy has gotten into I do not believe a word of his side.
It does corroborate though.
I don't believe a word Chevy Chase says here. Or anywhere else either.
Howard might be the only person more toxic than Chevy
