- Newer shorter video on how to get desktop inside the VR cockpit so you can interact with all your other applications, Vpilot, LittleNavMap, Internet browser, Pilot2ATC and every other desktop app.
Thanks for this. I have it working perfectly now. The key for me was the tip about setting the input switch to manual in the WMR settings.
I have 1 monitor but I set up a second virtual desktop in the task view mode. Then I start MSFS on one of the virtual desktops and leave any windows I want to interact with on the other. I have a button setup to show the task view, so I can hit that button and on the desktop window in VR with task view showing I can switch over to either virtual desktop depending on if I want to interact with the one of my apps or interact with MSFS.
I do not have the top left option to resize at 2.35….the symbol next to the word desktop,
to resize is not the symbol, but you need to go pass the edge of the window with your VR controller and you should see blue "CORNER" seen blue precisely at 3:51, if you refer to the two monitors next to word "Desktop" you will not have them if you only have 1 monitor. Hope that helps, but you should have the corner for resizing, might be tricky to get at first as it is not visible all the time only when reaching in that area with your VR controller.
Hi. Thank you for this new tutorial and congratulation on the improvement. I have problems with moving the mouse from the desktop to the cockpit. You say that as soon as the pointer leaves the desktop it is on the other monitor and we should click for the mouse to work inside the cockpit. It does that but the desktop also changes to the cockpit view and that has a big impact on frames. What am I doing wrong? Do you mind explaining? Thank you!
DO you have 2 monitors ? Make sure you UNCHECK "Switch monitors automatically" as explained at 03:32
Curios does it kill fps?
probably will cost you maybe 3-5 FPS, with 4090 and 10850K does not bother me at all, I had 3080 before and always used it, again 3-5 FPS is what it costed me but never did I flew without it and still maintained 30+ FPS, you can watch my newer videos where I play with desktop in the cockpit always
