  • Learn a solid chess opening for black with many attacking chances. In this video I teach you the fundamentals of the Sicilian Defense Dragon Variation. You’ll learn the basic strategy, important tactics and how to defend against the most common attacks from white. The video is aimed at beginners and players unfamiliar with the Siclian Defense Dragon Variation, but includes insights relevant for even experienced players. I also go over a game between Vishy Anand and Garry Kasparov, where we see how the Sicilian Dragon can be played at the highest level of chess.

I love you explain each of the opening moves. Rather than this is the opening you explained the reasoning behind it. So many tutorials don't go into such details

I loved this video I learned so much. I am a new player and listening to you explain each pieces duties and reason for going where they go was awesome information. Thank you I really hope there are more videos like this for each type of openings

there will be more opening videos, although not for eah type of opening as there is like 10.000 openings and I can only really make videos about the openings I have some experience with.

Made a few anotations and watched this twice to cement most of the moves!
The principles are making a lot more sense. The generalized role of each piece is becoming clearer.
On my way to have fun with this 'Tales of war' board game. :)

You are my favorite UA-cam channel. I have been watching since before the queens gambit and it felt like it was just me and you in the Smokey cafe. And you have grown so gracefully, and your videos now are so high quality. I basically have notifications for your channel without having UA-cam notifications on at all. I honestly get impatient waiting for each next video, and I have scrolled long for the sake of it
