- Chana Pulao, also called Chickpea Rice, is an easy, flavorful recipe perfect for weeknights. With just 10 minutes of prep time, this one-pot pulao can be made in the Instant Pot or on the stovetop.

INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 cups Basmati Rice, extra long grain
2 tablespoons Ghee or Oil
1 cup Yellow onion, thinly sliced
1 Green Chili Pepper, finely chopped. I use Serrano or Thai chili, optional
1 teaspoon Grated Ginger
15 ounce Canned Chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1/2 teaspoon Garam Masala
1 1/2 teaspoon Salt
2 3/4 cups Water
Cilantro leaves, chopped, for garnish (optional)
Whole Spices
1 Dried Bay leaf (Tej Patta)
1 teaspoon Cumin seeds (Jeera)
1 Black Cardamom (Moti Elaichi), optional
3 Green Cardamom (Elaichi)
1-inch Cinnamon stick
3 Cloves (Laung)

Can I ask how you would cook this in the Ninja 15 please.
I have not used the Ninja 15, but it seems like a multicooker similar to instant pot. I would use the same settings to pressure cook the chickpea rice. Here is the detailed recipe - pipingpotcurry.com/chana-pulao/
I am cooking it in an instant pot. How much water do I add for let's say a glass of basmati rice? Is it 2X the water or 1.5X?
