You want to learn more about locating placer Gold and Lode deposits so you can map out and find your own Gold mine than this video will help you out. PLUS along the way we will teach you tips for success when out in the Gold Districts. This time we are out in Oatman AZ and there is still so much Gold there to be had so make sure to smash that like button and let us know your own Gold mining stories by leaving us a comment below.... and Yeah ....you're gonna get wet.
I live in oroville California which was a big gold town they built houses on montomery street before it was mined about 4 feet down or so is a lot of gold it follows the feather river
Wet for gold...
Slim owes me 20 bones!
@@GimmeOo-mox Shake your hinny
I just want to take you to the peralta mine so you can share some of that knowledge with me on this amazing mountain I found!
By far my favorite prospecting and mining videos Jeff is extremely educational and entertaining to watch
thanks James
Absolutely the best
"And YEAHH you're gonna get wet!!"
My favorite line 😎
He's a hoot to hang out with too...If you can keep up with him. And knowledge? He is the man.
He is pretty good aint he
At 6:49 you asked "who can tell me what that is?" Well, Jeff williams teaches that that is a river rock, and since you are probably not close to a river, thats why its an odd ball. Thanks for the lesson, Jeff!
Those flowers at the beginning is California Poppy! I love that flower
What a rare video today. It's been so beautiful that even the wild burros are more friendly! And in just a few weeks it look like the moon again. The desert has minerals that's a given. But if you are there at just the right time. You'll find a diamond. Thanks for a beautiful glimpse of desert bloom Jeff and Lila. Every frame has great content in it!
Glad you enjoyed it!
The desert is beautiful all the time.
I never seen the desert so lush in the 36 years I've lived in the the Vegas valley. I went fishing this week at Willow beach and was blown away by the amount of wild flowers growing. I'm glad you shared it.
This man is consistently providing the experience, in a format he is truly mastering.
thanks Brian
Every video that you post, I learn a little more about where the gold nuggets I chase, are coming from. You’re right down the road from me in this one so it’s even more relative to the area I’m in. Showing the rocks and changes up close and detailed really helps me understand more of what I’m seeing out in the field. I’d trade gold and a can of them beans you like to have a fella like you follow me around for a day and answer questions! You can’t have my big nuggets though!! 🤪
thanks and love the sound of Gold and beans
I love the geology lessons, every time the mineral terms are used I'm understanding them and seeing what to look for instinctively. Thanks Jeff 😊. Cheers 🍻
Agreed so u KNOW WHAT HES GOING TO SAY . 👍 😊
I am still kicking myself for not taking Geology in college! Your videos make me want to go back and take some classes! Lol I am 52 years old and live in Lubbock TX so I am not sure at my age what I would retain? But oh my how I love watching your geology videos over and over!
You can do it!
You should do it, Jeff was my geology Professor when I was 49. A few years ago.😂
Yup ! Go for it !!!
Kathleen, fill out a FAFSA application and they will help you pay for school. Take Geology, I did at 47! Best class ever. Time will go by anyway, might as well get an education. Do it.
@Sylvia Thank you for this message. The thought of finding a class etc has been heavily on my mind. Your message just helped me make up my mind!
Nice season’s beginnings, Jeff. Looking foreward to many more informative and fun golden adventures.
Viewing the natural surroundings. The plants and the animals is as good as seen gold in the pan thank you Jeff
Thank you, Jeff! Yes, I SMASHED the like button! More lessons from the master.
Errherm, thank you.
Thanks for bringing us along! Some great geology lessons and amazing scenery!
Another great and educational video. I've had my eye on the Kingman area for a while. I'm an old fart, retired with a little class C towing a Jeep. Growing up, my father, a petroleum engineer, which includes a lot of Geology, would prospect while on vacation. In fact, geology was his favorite course and history. We often found enough gold to pay for the vacation; like you, he knew where to look. I'll never forget those vacations. I remember one to Criple Creek that was awesome. You have to remember this was in the early 60s, and these areas were still pristine and untrodden by the masses. We had an old International Travel All, a tank with 4-wheel drive, so we camped way off the beaten trail. We went to several places in Northwest Arizona, but I don't remember where at the moment.
Sounds epic, if that were in a book I would buy it!
that sounds like quite the adventure ...thanks for sharing that with us
@@BrianJonah88 I've been told I should write a book, but I don't see the audience that was once there. In the oilfields, I was always one of those people who, when asked can you go here and do that said, sure; you learn a lot fast that way, but I went through three wives. Women don't like being left home for months, but that's life. I wonder if it's who I was or if my father instilled a wanderlust in me with the sheer variety of travel on the many vacations growing up. My great-grandfather was part of the great cattle drives from Texas up into Kanas and North Dakota. I share a lot of his genes. I remember one time in Wyoming, North of Casper, near the old Midwest oil strike, on the way to visit an uncle, a great uncle to me. It was a pretty dull stretch, or so I thought, through meandering and rolling hills, scared randomly by decades of erosion when he slammed on the brakes and pulled to the side of the road in front of one of the hundreds of historical markers we had seen along the way. This time, it was different because once my father had pointed it out, you could still see the carved-out path and remnants of ruts made in the land by tens of thousands of wagons in both directions; this was the Boseman Trail. This was in 1961, so I wonder if you can see anything today; nobody cares anymore, and history is lost. Nowadays, everyone's too busy making silly and pointless TikTok videos and complaining they don't have enough. At least this channel teaches you skills, and skill beats ten virtue signals any day. 😎
Only 274 k subscribers?????. Jeff Williams is a national treasure...Thankyou for your fun and informative videos
thanks Robin
thanks for the knowledge you bring to these videos Jeff ,headed your way next spring. Looking forward prospecting and learning as we go.
you betcha
Really digging the drone footage. The geology and history lesson is so much more exciting than in books. I could watch this 8 hrs a day
thanks ...we have more on the way
Another awesome lesson from the master thank you for sharing be safe brother 🙏
you betcha Bill
I was wondering when we were going to get another old school Jeff episode talking about geology....
Love those burros, met a couple when I went to the saline springs; didn’t know the story why they’re out there… Things almost look friendly enough to take a couple home if you needed pack animals. A bit less ferocious than the thick neck horses out in the steens.
Happy to watch the burros for as long as it takes. 😊
Jeff, you're living my dream. I am actively working to moving out that way And I want to thank you for all your videos. Your knowledge is indispersible . And your Videos always put a smile on my face. Maybe in the near future I'll be able to say hello . Keep on keep on going. Gold rules brother.
thanks Mike ...love to hear that ...you betcha
the gold mining industry taught by jeff william school of prospecting, all people have to do is listen and learn before venturing out in the fields to know right from wrong, its like the old timers are teaching the jeff and jeff is teaching those who want to know bettter and easier ways to find. its win win all arund. thank you jeff , . for those who visit oatman,AZ careful moves or in the open or ou wont remember the last step., and always tell someone where you are before hand ? thank you teacher Jeff.
thanks TM , really appreciate that ....always our pleasure
What a nice surprise Burros and a youngster too. They must be use to getting fed too. I had a couple of Burros several years ago one a female and the other a female baby that was born blind due to a genic issue with mom. But, I found if you attach a cow bell to the mom the baby could easily find her, and she did very well. Beautiful area with all those yellow flower everywhere. You wouldn't expect to see that in a dessert. This video is quite interesting and entertaining too. That Fort R.E.D.S. was another interesting site. You always have a wealth of knowledge about Geology too. Great video.
thanks
If you want quality, then you won’t be disappointed with this channel,
thanks Robin
Jeff with the DEEP PURPLE !!! !!! you're my kinda guy Jeff !! Really !! I'm 50 years old from Detroit !! I want to come out west and work with you !!
Thank you Jeff and thank you to your wife for taking the time to explain things the way you do in the field. You are providing us all with information that is simple to follow and entertaining to watch. Best wishes from Manchester - England
Thanks 👍
Jeff, I have no idea for the most part what your talking about, but I can’t take my eyes away for any of you videos.. I need to find a geology book for dummies. Keep up the good, no great, work, Joe
That drone shot going up the hill was a trip. I had completely misjudged the size and scale of that until the drone got to the top and saw the sheep. That’s a huge cut
Great tour, great lesson, Jeff, love it!
Thanks again Jeff. You don't have to worry about keeping me interested. This year the rain has really kissed the desert.
Them California Poppys in the the middle of the desert are amazing!
I like the pic of the mules standing in front of a Poppy patch.
Beautiful Video from the Dessert ! Best Gold Channel on UA-cam!!
Wow, thank you!
For newcomers. Jeff gives 30 to 40 minute hands on mine classes. He covers placer to hard rock to open pit. You will get history and scenic beauty. Yes deserts have beauty. You will learn how to read a mountain or a stream you will use equipment. This is not a television show. It's real life gold prospecting and he will cover dangers hardships and don't quit your day job till you strike it. Yes thats the really neat thing. This is better than the lottery. It is real. And with a lot of effort your pan will have gold in it. Jeff offers these classes. Please take advantage. Hey Jeff. All this water means the washes
Have reloaded. Lol😂😂😂
Thanks Rick , really appreciate that .... exactly and thats one of the reasons we are out there
I loved everything in this one. The colors in southeast Arizona are incredible right now even the old mining hills have flowers growing up from every crack and crevice.. I've never seen it this way before. Great video, loved the mules!
Glad you enjoyed it!
The burros got some flowers.
Excellent.
Awesome work! It was cool seeing all the critters and nature, along with the geology lesson.
Awwwwww!! The baby burro loves jeff!!❤❤❤
I think it might turn into another super-bloom this year. I remember the same happening some years back filming a Wild Nevada episode in the Ely area.
The great descendants of Slim's Mule from back in the day when Slim actually found gold! 🤣 Pretty cool to see all the flowers and other plants in the desert!
You almost expect a tella tubby to come running over the hill .❤
"Credo Quia Absurdum" is the motto of the E Clampus Vitus. BTW, you can take those lonely fence posts as clues to be careful of the ground. You see them around old wells also. Most of the examples of fenced wells and shafts I've seen had partially dismantled where one or more posts were down. I also want to say that this a great series.
thanks
@askJeffWilliams I have been following for a long time and have learned so much from you. Just a BIG shout out to the awesome quality of your videos. TY very much for the top grade info and education.
thanks Tee , really appreciate that

Good year for the poppy bloom around Oatman and Golden Valley. Have never seen the big horn sheep there. Good sighting
Thanks Jeff. I usually am in the Tucson area about once a year. I'm going to try and make it up to Oatman next time I'm down there. Appreciate the geology refresher. It's been 35yrs since I did field work in the West Elks in Co. Didn't pursue the geo careers. These vids make me I wish I had.

Hi Jeff this is Air Force veteran Atocha Rickey Edwards recently from Quartzsite Arizona I'm moving to the Oatman Arizona area in April.
