- An unusual incident on a charity ride. Not certain what that sound was, but ir was clearly audible above the din of 40 Harley Davidsons rumbling up the highway at freeway speeds. The audio compression on the camera changes the sound a little, but in person it really sounded like a gunshot. #strangerthings #strangesounds #whatwasthat #detective
Definitely a backfire from a vehicle
Thats a tuned BMW with a downpipe. I suggest you google it, there is a whole community of people who pay money to make their BMW pop.

My old car made that sound every once in a while, I found out it was running poorly.
That is a possibility. That’s why I phrased it as a question. It would be an unusual sounding backfire, or firework, but not out of the realm of possibility if possibilities.

🤦♂️from someone that actually seen war that no gun fire that was either a backfire or something popping in the car like brakes or the caliber make that popping noise if that would have been a gun shot believe you me you would have definitely heard it been that close 🤦♂️
That was what made it weird. Usually a backfire is no where near that loud.
