I love the look of those quilts, Amy! I love sewing quilt tops for the charities my quilt guild supports. Someone will love to cuddle with those special quilts! If something doesn't work on a quilt, or I've run out of fabric, which never happens, into the stash I go. The orange yellow fabric is an added layer of sunshine! The purple hair is back! Have a Happy New Year! Marion in Oregon.🍾
Hi and congrats on all of the subscribers who follow you. About books - I have Patterns and Paradox checked out from the library right now and I love it! So much history about quilt blocks, the Amish, and so many beautiful quilts. Very inspiring. Other books you may be interested in are - A Common Thread by Gwen Marston, lots of photos, little text, ample inspiration. Also a new book by Nicholas Ball, Use and Ornament, love, love, love it. Read it cover to cover, even the bits about supplies (info I already know). Take care, happy 2025.
Susan we are of one mind! I have both of those books! On my wishlist right now is the new Victoria Findlay Wolfe book The Quilting Experience. All about community 😍😍😍
Congratulations for achieving your 10,000 subscribers before the end of the year! 🥳🎉🎊🥳🎉🎊 That’s hotter than it gets here in the summer! I’m so jealous. 😂 I thought the yo-yo quilt behind you was an EPP flower quilt 😂 Those buttons are gorgeous but I’m a sucker for vintage clothes, fabrics and buttons from the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s. That’s not a mistake on your piano key border, it’s a deliberate decision so it’s a design choice. I can’t wait to see the Hawaiian quilt you come up with. I’m weird in that I was a coffee drinker all the way until I was ill. I couldn’t stomach it the thought of it made me 🤢 now I drink tea 95% of the time apart from the two cups of real coffee I have every morning. I need them to kick start my day. 😂
Yay! 10,000+! You go, girl! I’m hot coffee in the morning…2 cups. After that, meh…occasionally a cup of tea in the afternoon, with a snack, if I need it. But in the summer, I do enjoy a large Dunkin iced coffee as a treat on the weekends. But, no caffeine after about 3pm. I do like to sleep, after all.
89 degrees? wow. Gorgeous day! We are sunny but 42. Love the DIY moving quilt display! The quilts turned out great! Love the books. I'm a tea drinker - currently Adagio Mango Black tea is my fave.
Coffee, coffee and coffee! I saw an amazing antique yo-yo quilt at a guild meeting several years ago. The yo-yos we tiny, maybe an inch across. Maybe someday?
It’s serendipity not a mistake, love the quilt. I have too many quilt books lol, but some of those look really good, Amazon here I come. Pepsi all day for me don’t drink anything hot.Thank you for the last month it’s been interesting and fun. Have a happy blessed peaceful new year Amy.xx❤❤
Congratulations on your milestone of 10.000 subscribers. Quilters do not make mistakes, that are just “happy little accidents” that we make work for us. It is part of our creative outlet. It gives your art personality 😊
Hello Beautiful! The two tops turned out great. I love the “happy accident” in the border. I have been using piano keys a lot lately. The top I’m currently working on, I plan to “float” the piano keys in the border fabric. I too love Mary Fons, must get that book. I’m a coffee drinker, all day, regular and decaf, black and with cream, hot and cold. Occasionally tea. Sparkling water and occasional diet soda too. See you tomorrow.
Congratulations on your 10k subscribers 🎉. Love the quilt tops - they will make the recipients so happy. Envious of your weather. I love heat too. This time of year Northern Canada is not a hot spot 😂. Anyway hot coffee is my go to. Happy New Year
What fun it must be to look out your window at the pretty view. 80 degrees.......OMG. It's 12 degrees at 6 p.m. where I am in Alaska. However, we should have a beautiful Aurora to watch on NYE! Happy New year!
Tea all the way! I subscribe to a tea of the month club so am continually trying new flavors. I love your videos and your sense of color. Hope 2025 treats you well.
We just had dinner with our Old Order Amish Friends! We didn't talk about quilts though. I loved the animal quilts. My favorite drinks are coffee, tea - hot and cold, flavored seltzer water, and plain water. Enjoy your walk
I have an entire container of leftover yo-yos I need to do something with. I have mad angels, quilts, pins, etc. I need to come up with something else and use those things up.
Beautiful fun quilts. In the Winter, I drink hot tea, hot coffee, and hot cocoa, mostly as hand warmers; the high today was 33F (1C), tomorrow a balmy 22F (-5C). I like it when you show us the sunshine, good to see it. Looking forward to the kitty vid. Have a lovely evening.
Coffee, black is my drink of choice! Once in a while I splurge on a latte or a cappuccino when I go to our book store and peruse quilt books but too expensive otherwise. Oh ice tea as well.
My morning doesn't start well without two cups of rich black coffee (preferably a Columbian dark roast.) However ---- ahem, I also have the better part of one kitchen cabinet with many kinds of tea. I love them both. My heart leaped when you showed that bag of brightly colored scraps. Ha - as if I need any more fabric. I don't have time to use what I have. I totally love the added yellow in the piano key border. I do "crazy" stuff like that all the time. But of course, I have books by Gwen Marston, Jan Mullen and Victoria Findlay Wolfe that have inspired my quilting style.
Thank you for the new book report. We are expecting snow and freezing rain tomorrow. We are having rain storms today. I don't mind the rain; but, I hate the thunder and lighting. Both of my cats are still hiding. My internet has already gone down twice. I love a hot cup of tea. Happy New Year.
I love yo-yo quilts! I can’t wait to see what you will do with the Hawaiian quilt idea and the scrap quilts! Your enthusiasm is infectious!❤ Congratulations on 10k! ❤
Are you going to make a Hawaiian quilt?. If so, count me in!!! I love the look of one large pattern, but I think it would become overwhelming to needle turn applique and then know I still have to hand quilt it. 24" blocks would be easier to needle turn, and then put them together as a top. I have done a Hawaiian wall hanging, and am working on a throw pillow. I guess I have to remind myself that a queen size quilt, would be a 'many year' project.
I used to live in Flower Mound north of DFW and I wish I could move back there. I hate winter in Illinois. I like hot tea in the winter, but sweet tea, Pepsi and water year round.
I have so been enjoying your channel! Just found you a couple of months ago and your Vlogmas 2024 has been so inspiring, uplifting, and educational!! It is just Tea for me, always ICED, morning, noon and night! I just love trying all flavors so thank you for sharing your favorites.
Amy have a Happy New Year! I was at an historic site here in New York and found a book about Civil War Quilts. The gift shop was selling the book really cheap so it had to come home with me. A single cup of coffee a day with cinnamon however I love iced tea in the summer!
Tea, but mostly Diet Coke. It's my drug of choice. Books oh the books. I want my reading and references in paper! Yes I'm a senior now, but to have it available in my studio is a luxury.
Another exciting and informative vlog! You always make everything so fun! I can't wait to meet the kitties!!! I love cats (and dogs) but we actually do not have space for both here. I don't like my cats being bullies by dogs or kids. ; ) I'm coffee first, tea the rest of the day. I've been experimenting with flavors. I had a tea years ago that was very spicy and I am trying to find it again. Any suggestions? I'm open to whatever you have to share! Oh yeah...I have way too may quilting books, I'm kind of embarrassed to say. It's like fabric...ewww, shiny!!! Gotta have it!
I’m not a coffee or tea drinker. Sometimes I wish I was but can’t handle the smell of coffee or the after taste of tea. I drink a peach lemonade blend that I delute because the original is to sweet for me. Can’t wait to see your kitties. We lost our family cat right before Thanksgiving and our daughter’s cat is the same age so …
I drink a lot of water. Once in a while I’ll add fresh lemon, sliced cucumber, or halved strawberries (not all at once). No coffee, no tea, and though I admit to soft drinks for caffeine when needed, I just prefer water. I bring True Lemon packets with me when I leave home in case the mood strikes.
Congrats on 10k and I like both but if I had to pick it would be coffee but what kind of Southern girl would i be if I didn't like and need SWEET TEA in my life
Thanks for the book review. I know that "ask me anything" is over, but I have another. Which Accuquilt would you recommend to a fairly new quilter and why? Thanks.
@@nancyguerrero6662I might add that if you have any physical constraints it might be worth the extra money for the electric (if you can swing it). The manual ones can be a little tough on your hands and wrists if that can be an issue for you. Like Amy, I use mine a lot for basics shapes, squares, strips etc. it helps wrangle scraps into usable pieces.
Favorite drinks? Mainly tea (black, green, herbal), sometimes hot chocolate and just plain tap water (in Germany it is not clorinated, that helps). I do not drink coffee, never liked it, never needed it.
Coffee or tea?? I'm in the 'something else' group - and my something else is cordial predominantly. For me, water is too bland so a sugar free cordial works for me. Pepsi max is my treat on hot summer days or days out and about.
I LOVE how you said, "It was an mistake, now it is a choice"!!!
♥️♥️♥️😊

Tea and coffee. I can drink them both either hot or cold. My favorite would be coffee house peppermint mocha

Love your little dance behind the magic curtain .. quilt top LOL 😂
Coffee alll day
😜😂♥️♥️ thanks
For me it’s coffee in the morning to get me moving. When it’s cool outside I love a cup of tea. In the summer it’s a glass of cold unsweet tea.
That's a great combo!
Earl grey decaf every morning ☕

Congratulations on 10000 subscribers. Awesome,,,,, you are awesome. In joy.
Hot tea or ice tea unsweetened.

Tea all the way here! Earl Grey 😊
Tea. Earl grey. Hot. 😜♥️
Tea drnker here. My favorite is Harney and Sons cinnamon mixed with english breakfast and a bit of oat creamer and sugar.
I’ve always found the H&S Cinnamon too sweet but mixing it with a black tea is a great idea! Thank you.
Love the tour of books. Thank you

Both. Coffee and tea. Depends on my mood.
😊♥️♥️
Coffee for the win! We make Dunkin Donuts Hazelnut ground coffee at home. Add some heavy cream and a sprinkle of Truvia and I’m in heaven!
Sounds delish! ☕
Love the quilting books I have far too many. You are warmer there than we are in New Zealand in our mid summer!
It’s a bit wild to be sure.
Congrats on 10K 🎉🎉🎉 I love Coffee! If I have to drink tea, no sugar or lemon just plain 😂
Thank you so much! 😊. No sugar in my tea either
Congrats on the 10k. I don’t do coffee or tea - but love hot chocolate! Happy New Year!!

Its 34 out tonight and snowing 😊
It’s pretty at least 😜
Love to watch all you videos. I have to have my morning cup of coffee, I drink a lot of ice tea I want to be a hot tea drinker .
Thank you! Coffee is my first love. ❤️ The thing that’s fun about hot tea is there are so many to choose from.
Tea, but mostly Diet Coke. It's my drug of choice. Books oh the books. I want my reading and references in paper! Yes I'm a senior now, but to have it available in my studio is a luxury.
I love having my books right there in the studio too! I’m a hue kindle fan but not for these sorts of books.
Coffee 90% of the time. But love a French Earl Gret tea.
♥️♥️♥️
Thanks, I love quilting books too.
You are so welcome! 🤗
Very nice boarders 😊
Thank you 🤗

Lapsang Soughing tea. I drink a couple of pots each day.
Yum!😊♥️
Very cute quilts. Why do you use a 60 mm rotary cutter compared to the 45? Does it make it easier to use the multiple strip ruler? I
I like the 60 for most cutting and it’s the one I’ve got. A 45 is a little easier to manipulate in the stripology but you get used to it.
That yellow “mistake” was meant to be. Right size, right color, right place to see it.
Absolutely. Thank you
Do you have a pattern for yo yo quilt. I love it
I do not, but maybe I’ll sketch one out at some point. Thank you.
I usually drink hot water but sometimes decaf tea. I so hate were coming to the end of vlogmas. DONT GO, DONT GO 😿.
