I’ve been trying to keep things a little more organized lately but it’s hard when we’re busy. Yeah definitely hard to get the job done right when you can’t find anything lol
What tool do you use to install the gasket? I got the 034 version specifically so I wouldn't have to mess with it after reading horror stories. One less thing to worry about 🤷♂️
@AngusMcDangus ahh, I just used a standard seal installer that was a little too small and worked it around carefully, it went in pretty easily for me on this one
Your work area looks fairly well organized all the time. That's a good sign of someone capable of putting all the parts back correctly. 😎

I thank you, as does my Mk VI GTI for the good advice.
No problem man!

Yep - I got the 034 version - didn’t want to do this job again for a good few years - I’m okay with the extra cost for the billet style seal - cheers
That factory installer for the OEM updated seal worked well
@@EuropeanAutoRepair I meant the gasket into the billet. Heard they like to fight you sometimes getting them fully seated.

@Safetyguy56 yeah I don’t blame you, definitely way nicer
what year did they switch to the more robust seal?
Seems like around 14 or 15 but I might be wrong on that
How much is a job like this ?
I would say around 1500 - 2000usd
