I am learning english with your videos, you speak clearly and more slowly. In my country is difficult to find about Nintendo, so i look fort this in American channels on UA-cam. Congratulations, your videos is incredible!
I loved about the Gamecube controller, that every button is special. It's pretty easy to associate a button with a function. If I remember correctly, most games also used the same controlscheme. It kind of added to the atmosphere, that every button had this special identity.
Two other games I can think of that belong on this list: "Metal Arms: Glich in the System" and "Gladius." "Metal Arms" was a third person shooter that had fun weapons, challenging gameplay and a robust campaign mode, and "Gladius" was a real time strategy game where had up your gladiator school and had to recrut members while working your way to the top. Neither games were Gamecube exclusive, but are both so good and so little remembered that I think they both deserve a mention.
The Gamecube controller is amazing. My favorite controller of all time. The only gripe I have is the D-pad is near useless. If only it was just a little bit bigger. Otherwise it's the most comfortable controller I ever used.
At first I was like... ugh what? But now, as I'm using it in my wii in virtual console, I can play for ages without my hands aching because the controller is sooo confortable!!
MisterLiBRiUMz i prefer the dualshock 2 also . i dont own a gamecube console but i saw a picture of the controler and i have to say when looking at it for the first time it looks like a mesh of buttons . tough i cant really say its bad because i never used 1 and im not planning on buying a gamecube . if i were to buy an old console i would just pick the playstation 1 as im a playstation player . a player not a fanboy .
Same, I don't have a gamecube, but I have a Wii and use the gamecube controller on that when I play some wii games and also play gamecube games. Its overall a great controller, but the Dualshock 2 will always be my favorite!
I was kind of disappointed Custom Robo wasn't in any of these videos. :( Definitely one to check out. Fun combat and great graphics. One of my favorites that I still keep around to play on my Wii. :)
You should of mentioned "Sphinx and the cursed Mummy" it's a really good 3D Puzzle game that will keep you busy for hours and hours up to 11+ Hours of gameplay depending on how you play it but it's a pretty good game if you want to waste sometime but have some fun at the same time.
No doubt, the Gamecube controller is hands down the most comfortable pad I've ever used. I mean its not even close. Now, granted, the Xbox and Playstation pads have much better button layouts, and that's what Nintendo screwed up on with the pad. But its that rounded shape that really makes it feel amazing to hold. I honestly cannot BELIEVE they abandoned this design on newer systems instead of keeping it and just tweaking the button layout. They would have the best pad by far.
I like the GameCube controller because it is really comfortable, snug, fits in your hands really well and it is way better than the N64 controller. Enough said.
OMFG! Tales of Symphonia, I was wondering if you would put this game on your list. AMAZING GAME! My favorite RPG and the first one I played actually. Sheena is actually a cosplay I want to do as she is my favorite and I resemble her. Jesus, you have such great taste and like a lot of games I own and played. Very impressed.
YES TALES OF SYMPHONIA im playing it right now :) ive beaten it over 100 times its my favorite game ever and dont forget if your like symphonia its being released in HD on the ps3 on feb 25.
I'm truly surprised you didn't say a thing about Pacman World 2. It technically was "on the list" and was and honestly still is one of my absolute FAVORITE gamecube games next to Battle for Bikini Bottom.
Kalashnikov hours of fun there i had it for original xbox and i was a young impressionable 7 year old so watching this brings back good memories and now i can play this game once again on my computer using a gamecube emulator
James bond agent under fire has my favorite multiplayer in any FPS. The options give you a chance to get creative. Turning on 0 gravity, no falling damage, grappling hook and jetpack and playing with even one other person gets insane. Blasting a hundred feet high spraying people with an AK47 never gets old.
Oh man, Tales of Symphonia, finished this one two times together with two friends. One of the few RPGs with multiplayer. It got a HD remake for the PS3 and I really hope, it'll have a release on the Vita.
out of the systems from that gen (PS2, Xbox, GCUBE) the gamecube controller is by far the best for me. It fits so snug in your hands and the two trigger buttons are fantastic.
***** From what I hear, the Gamecube was actually the most graphically powerful from the generation. It's just that not enough games were made to prove it. But goddamn, the ones that did show it off...showed it off (Resident Evil 4, Twilight Princess, Rogue Leader)
***** That's not entirely true, the xbox was the most powerful system of the time but the Gamecube was almost as powerful, it probably could've been better graphically if the discs were bigger but it usually had great performance anyway and nothing looks distractingly bad and when it came to 3rd party games it was always good, the Gamecube and the PS2 to me have some of the best controllers ever though in my opinion.
***** I think so, obviously a low-grade PC by today's standard but maybe even low-grade for the time just to keep costs down, the Xbox and the Gamecube usually had the best performances during the 6th gen though.
I am so glad you included i-ninja. It was a one of those rare games that I actually felt compelled to 100 % complete because it was so good. Billy west does the voice acting for the main character.
that game is awesome even though i wonder if i would play after beating the final boss. i am not the biggest fan of fake difficulty and max leveling without reward

Love these hidden gems videos! Thanks for all the time and effort you put into these - love watching the gameplay footage and finding more games to add to my ever-growing collection!
I just watched this again for the 5th time. Still awesome. I’m loving rebuying my GameCube collection with these videos. The GameCube is really an amazing console.
Oh yeah!!! That game was amazing. Such a responsive and brutal fighter. Still one of my favorite games from that generation. It had a surprisingly in depth character Creator and you could have more than 1 fighting style. You earned money as well and could use it to purchase new clothes and assesories.
I looked through a lot of "best" or "top" game cube games on youtube, and tales of symphonia is one of my favorites. Almost none of em had it on their list You sir has a new sub
Gotcha force is one of my all time. Favorite games ever. So much replay value. You get something new after beating the game like 8-9 times. Plus, the story changes slightly a few times
An advertisement for it came with my copy of Pac-Man World 2 and I was always curious about it. I was actually planning on checking it out before I saw this video.
My all time favorite game cube game is Super Mario Sunshine. It has so many different levels, and worlds. You have multiple quests that can unlock extra stuff, collecting all the blue and red coins, etc. and be able to see some old friends, toads, save the peach, see baby bowser and I believe bowser as well. And also being assisted by different colored Yoshi’s! You have to be a die hard Mario fan to really enjoy this game!
Oh man, aside from the iffy c-stick (which works fantastically in certain Nintendo exclusive games), the GameCube controller is a work of perfection. I've always loved this controller from the start.
If you liked Spongebob: BfBB, you might wanna try out the Spongebob Movie Game. It's arguably either better or worse than the first game, but still plenty of fun. In fact, there are some pretty enjoyable Spongebob games out there, especially on the Game Boy Advance. Spongebob: Creature from the Krusty Krab can be viewed as either complete garbage or a solid title, Spongebob: Lights, Camera, Pants! is a pretty fun little party game, and there quite a few others. I wouldn't necessarily rush out to get these games, but they're pretty darn cheap no matter what console you get them on and I'd say they're worth checking out.
gotcha force was one of my fav games on the gc ever, you can replay the story like 11 different times and get different outcomes, the re-playable factor in that game was amazing. You can collect 200+ plus borgs and those are the non-rare ones, you can find special edition of your fav borgs making the collectables in this game top notch. Anyone who collects gamecube games and hasn't played this, is missing out on so much. Playing this with my friend was so epic, so many good memories
Missing gems: -Chibi Robo (one of my top 3 personal faves) -P.N.03 (play it like a shmup and you'll "get it") -Pro Action Replay (Gamecube was the last console you could use cheat devices on) -R: Racing Evolution (racing combined with a soap opera) -Simpsons Hit & Run (GTA staring the Simpsons with a great original story) -Timesplitters 2 (FPS with a great story and excellent level design) -THPS 3 (best of the arcade style THPS games, I love how the levels evolve as you complete certain tricks)
At 1:31, the first game it shows is Gotcha Force, where some adorable characters join you, such as Kotaro, since he is the one that would ask for your help more.
I love the controller for the game cube. Looking back I honestly had the most fun playing my game cube out of any console I've ever owned and I've had them all (except for current gen, did own a Wii U for a while but there were just no games for it)
Gotcha force is my favourite game ever. And as you said it's hard to find now and worth a fair bit, it's amazing and so glad you chose it on your list!
Gummy - Clash Of Clans We have a local chain of stores here in Oklahoma called Vintage Stock. They also have them in Kansas and Texas, but down there they are called Movie Trading Co. My buddy used to be a manager at one of the stores here and one random day I went in and had him check around their database to find a copy and they happened to have one at a Tulsa location. I ordered it right there in the store and had it mailed to me. One of my luckiest finds besides a complete copy of Dokapon Kingdom for the wii for eight bucks here at a pawn show last month.
Thanks for the great series you just did! It made me decide that I must start collecting gamecube games, and has me frantically trying to find these games because I now need to play them all!
Star Verix it's a great emulator but such a missed opportunity to not name the Sega emulator that after all Sega had a campaign who's catchphrase was "Sega does what nintendont"
At a glance I usually think the D-pad and C stick are too small, but in the middle of a game I never have any problems. That's the Gamecube in general - a lot of people judged it on sight alone and considered it a 'kiddie' system compared to the PS2 and XBOX. It was the third place system for it's generation but deserved a lot more praise. I'm glad people like you are showing what a great system it was and still is.
Another great list Metal Jesus, good job! Not so sure I'd call Tales Of Symphonia a "Hidden" Gem though. The game is so popular it's actually quite difficult to find, because no one wants to let go of it. lol
Man I just looked up Gotcha Force on eBay and that sucker is expensive. I'm not going to pay $100.00 or more dollars to have a good game like that. Man that sucks too because my son loves those types of games.
Pac-Man vs is a really fun game. It also works on the wii and there's a NDS version on Namco Museum DS but you'll need a few more NDSs (up to 4) to play multiplayer but you only need 1 game cartridge. I have alot of these game. As always great video! And as far as the controller people still prefer that controller especially for Smash bros. They are even making a new adapter for the Wii U so you can use Gamecube controllers on it. So that gotta tell you something. lol
Nintendo needs to make another system like the gamecube and more games like the n64/gamecube era that's when Nintendo was king... Don't get me wrong I love my wii u but they don't make games like these anymore..
Yo ThatsCrash They just need to bring back the controller, if they do that they'll get more 3rd party support, also I think Nintendo did great from the NES up to the Wii, they won last gen by almost 20 million units. But I agree, they need to make more games like the Gamecube/N64/Super Nintendo, heck even the NES, I'd play 8-bit games on a 9th gen console.
Yo ThatsCrash Yeah, I definetly see that, the gamecube also had the "different games" not bad ones but they had Luigi's Mansion (which I love) at launch instead of a Mario game, Mario Sunshine which had the water shooting gimmick (it's not bad, it's a fun gimmick and a great game), The legend of zelda windwaker which had the cartoony art style which was drastically different from the others (which is still good), Metroid Prime 1 and 2 (FPS Metroid games that no one saw coming but were still great), Mario kart double dash which is the only Mario kart game where 2 people ride on the same kart (I think it's my favorite Mario kart game), Donkey kong jungle beats which I've never played but it looks fun, the list goes on but it was very different.
john tyler Yeah and that's the reason why I love the gamecube it was different! Super Smash Bros Melee, Lugi's Mansion, and Mario Kart Double Dash are my top 3 Nintendo Games and they all 3 came from the gamecube. It was an awesome system with awesome titles. They need to go back to their roots on some games while also staying wih the times
Yes the GC controller is also my favorite of all time, I love everything about it, almost. I think the button location makes really good sense, it´s based on ergonomics and feels natural. Only flaw is the placement of the Z button in my opinion.
and Luigi's Mansion and Super Mario Sunshine and SuperMonkeyBall 1 and 2 and Worms Blast and Spongebob the movie the game and Spyro ETD... the list goes on...
I liked this video because I appreciated how you would explain in good detail why each game was on the list and what you liked about it. I also like that you get straight to the point without doing schtick (like being angry or swearing excessively, etc.) Great and informative commentary. Keep up the excellent work!
thank you for the pacman vs. entry, we had such a good time with that game - its total mp fun + it has some social connectivity feature when you have to untie your cord chaos in the end of a 4player session :D great stuff!
Really?! Still no Pokémon Colosseum or Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness?! I know they're quite popular but they're still some of my favorite games for the GameCube, as well as Spyro: A Hero's Tail.
Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem is a must have! Great Gamecube exclusive survival horror game, that really messes with your head. As for the controller, I love it. It's very comfortable and think that the analogue sticks are pretty well designed. The only downside I found with the C-stick was when I played Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Master Quest... took me a while to get the hang of it due to being so used to the C-buttons.
I've now watched all three of your Gamecube hidden gems videos and honestly, most of the games you have named are not hidden gems. In fact, they are quite popular and well known.
+MetalJesusRocks hey Metal Jesus, I recommend you try Phantasy Star Online 1&2 (it's not really online, it used to be but it's very desolate however, I've actually never played online as the offline game is absolutely amazing, its by far one of my favourite Gamecube games & my very favourite JRPG)
+Kevin Johnson I was gonna say the same thing but in all fairness, the gamecubes small library doesn't allow it to have too many hidden gems. Very clear he did a decent job on the list and definitely did put quite a few hidden gems. Really the only entry that irked me more than anything was Kirby Air ride. Not because it was a 1st party title but because I don't know anyone who owns/collects for the game cube, and doesn't own that title.
Metal Arms: Glitch In The System is an amazing game. Its amazing on consoles it was on back in the day. It's on GameCube, PS2, maybe original Xbox, and now it's on Xbox Live. The game is amazing. So much fun you will enjoy it Metaljesus. You rock. Awesome video.
@ 7:25 you mention that Tales of Symphonia's cell shaded graphics remind you of Dark Cloud (more so Dark Cloud 2, both my personal favorite games)..if you notice at 7:43 when the character says "demon fang", if you listen closely you will notice that is the voice actor who also voices Maximilian from Dark Cloud 2, Scott Menville. Scott also voices Robin in Teen Titans! He's a great voice actor for games. The more we know!
you may know about it, but for most people when you ask about JRPGs you'll hear Final Fantasy a hundred times before you hear about the Tales series ten times.
1:24: Gotcha Force 2:53: Tube Slider: The Championship of Future Formula 4:00: Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom 5:19: Pac-Man Vs. 6:27: Tales of Symphonia 7:43: Wario World 8:49: Resident Evil Zero & Resident Evil 10:18: I-Ninja
+citsa Owens He's a hardcore GAME collector. Being part of a game scene when it first comes out has nothing to do with collecting. Even if he never played any of them and his gamecube didn't work he still collects them to a ridiculous level. Gaming and collecting games are not mutually exclusive, but they're not the same.
tales of symphonia is literally my favorite game ever. i've played through it about 7 times, both by myself and with friends. it is so beautiful and there are so many side quests and different ways to play it never gets old. and i've started playing the other tales games like tales of the abyss for the 3DS and they are equally as good and just as long with different characters and story lines with similar gameplay. i cant think of people having a gamecube or wii without having tales in their collection. great list.
I may be a little late to the game, but I'm really enjoying your hidden gems videos and buying guides. I wanted to mention a game that I think sold pretty well, but I rarely see it mentioned when people talk about GameCube games, and it's called Viewtiful Joe; one of my absolute favorites for GameCube!
Wow, just stumbled upon your channel and these Gamecube videos make me want to take mine out of storage and replay some of these awesome games... and possibly snag a few new ones. Kuddos sir!
The GameCube was a system I had back when it first came out, had fun with it, but then got tired of it and moved on to the PS2, but since then, I've come back to GameCube and been playing all these awesome games for it. It's a really fun system to collect for and actually brings me luck. The controller was a bit weird to me at first, like the button sizes, shapes, and placements, but after a while, it grows onto you, so I really dig it now, better than the N64 controller.
I've been looking up these videos specifically because the Nintendo Switch has become my port console. Anything that is available on the Switch that sounds good that came from another console I'll grab. But not everything has been ported, so I'm looking for those games that are fun and worth playing, but are still on their respective consoles, never having a remake done. I respect people like you who collect for the original console even if the game has been released since on something easier to get it on.
Good pick of Spongebob Squarepants BOBB. Brings back so much nostalgia and as a Spongebob fan I was addicted to this game since I first got it when I was 7. Also get back to Sunnyvale with Cory, Trevor. TPB isn't the same without you :p
I don't know if I missed it but I was waiting for you to talk about the game that got you into the GameCube and that's Eternal Darkness. This is the one game I've always wanted to play on the system and I was so upset I missed out on it. I finally found an older Wii and I ordered the game so it's on the way. I hear great things about it and I can't wait I'm excited.
I just now noticed all the Sierra games in the intro... pretty much all of which I have played, and Phantasmagoria is still one of my favorite guilty pleasure games. If you worked on those games, Metal Jesus, then I thank you for having contributed to my childhood gaming experiences. Now... I have to say I laughed out loud when I saw that Spongebob game, because it's in my personal collection, as well. I also have Tales of Symphonia, but the HD version on PS3. As for a game I would have added to this list: Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy. It was released on multiple platforms, but I have it on the CG. It's a fun little game, especially when you get to play as the mummy and have to do stuff like set yourself on fire or get electrocuted in order to solve the puzzles in some of the levels.
I-NINJA IS SO AWESOME! I rented it once when it first came out. It was a demo with some game i had (i have no idea which one) and i just NEEDED to play it. Been looking to pick it up and glad it got a mention. You rock, man!
When I first got my Gamecube about 6 years ago I managed to get my hands on Gotcha Force. I liked what I played but due to a lack of money (being 11 years old and all) I traded in game frequently. I had no idea how lucky I was to have a copy of Gotcha Force and I still haven't forgiven myself :( And Battle for Bikini Bottom on this list? You're a man after my own heart, its one of my favorite platformers of all time.
I was totally in love with the N64 controller and thought nothing could beat it after trying the Playstation (which, only recently have I gotten into that controller), and even when I saw the GCN controller, I thought, "what the hell is that thing? It looks like it was designed with crayons." As soon as I got my hands on it however, my mind was blown and my heart was won over by Nintendo once more. XD
I was pleasently surprised to find many of my original xbox games that i had no idea were on gamecube on this list and now i can easily emulate these on gamecube rather than my possibly never ending journey to find a fully working xbox emulator
These Hidden Gems videos are so much fun!! :D Love to see a Sega Saturn hidden gems series. If u don't collect for that system, ur missing out. Some real hidden gems - especially Japanese imports... thanks MJ!
Hello Metal Jesus, I am going to say that the GameCube controller is one of the most comfortable controllers for video games. When I got my Xbox 360 i thought that controller was the most durable and comfortable to play on but surprisingly I was wrong. The GameCube controller is definitely top notch with this system
Expensive as gems would be an accurate description for some of these games. I was too idle to go and look for my gotcha force, I thought i'd buy another copy instead. Boy, was I shocked at the cost of that! I had to put my aching legs to work in the end & get it out of storage instead of having an extra copy.
I was watching your first two videos and was hoping to see gotcha force on it, and I was glad to see it in this one! A lot of people I know didn't care for Virtua Quest but I thought it was an enjoyable game.
I am learning english with your videos, you speak clearly and more slowly. In my country is difficult to find about Nintendo, so i look fort this in American channels on UA-cam.
Congratulations, your videos is incredible!
So glad you are enjoying my videos Paulo. Greetings from Seattle USA!
are you brazillian? Because i am too! I learned english entirely through the internet and i wish you luck at your journey!
That is awesome.
@@Ivinhomaneirinho im brazillian too and wish luck for ours in this 2019. Thanks a Lot for your videos MJR best UA-camr for me.
I learned english from UA-cam..

Dang I thought I'd see Custom Robo make it on here. It is a very good game that was sadly underrated on the system.

dr4c0blade spot on
Loved metal arms! Oh man the zombie robot was so stressful when your patner was on the conveyor belt....
Tube Slider...
And people say the name Solid Snake is suggestive...
The Gamecube controller is amazing. My favorite controller of all time. The only gripe I have is the D-pad is near useless. If only it was just a little bit bigger. Otherwise it's the most comfortable controller I ever used.
GC controller is my favorite controller of all the time, and the best in my opinion.
agreed
TheBalloga I personally prefered the Dualshock 2, but the GC one was really good as well!
At first I was like... ugh what? But now, as I'm using it in my wii in virtual console, I can play for ages without my hands aching because the controller is sooo confortable!!

One of my favorites for sure... still have the memory card and disc. Its saddening it isnt mentioned.

Jason Avocado
The button layout was great in my opinion. Every button felt like it had a specific purpose.
I wouldn't really say the playstation controller has a better layout.
Avoozl I would say that Playstation controllers have the best layout, Gamecube is a close second though, just my opinion. :)
hells yeah
I like the GameCube controller because it is really comfortable, snug, fits in your hands really well and it is way better than the N64 controller. Enough said.
I'm the opposite but both are better than the fuckin Wii mote piece of shit!!! LOL
+Beer Me I think the Wii remote isn't that bad. Not the best, but not bad. My favorite controller is probably the XBox 360 one.
At least there are some games on the wii that you can use GameCube controller
+David Robitaille (robitaill3) Yeah
Dustin Nunn ya, thats already been mentioned parrot .... do we really need another clown saying the same shit? .... ENOUGH SAID
OMFG! Tales of Symphonia, I was wondering if you would put this game on your list. AMAZING GAME! My favorite RPG and the first one I played actually. Kalashnikov hours of fun there i had it for original xbox and i was a young impressionable 7 year old so watching this brings back good memories and now i can play this game once again on my computer using a gamecube emulator
Gabriel Salinas
ikr, spongebob was like my hero back in the day, my favorite level has to be rock bottom
+Kalashnikov I remember that rolling ball room in the Mermalair...
Moke McHelloThere thats has got to be my favorite part from a video game of all time
Gabriel Salinas Yeah, it was really fun. Took me a couple tries though.
There are always a few games in your Hidden Gems videos that I seek out myself and these GameCube videos are no exception. Thanks for the suggestions!
Nightfire had amazing multiplayer.
Oh man, Tales of Symphonia, finished this one two times together with two friends. One of the few RPGs with multiplayer. It got a HD remake for the PS3 and I really hope, it'll have a release on the Vita.

john tyler I don't doubt that. The Xbox was made from PC parts, right?
***** I think so, obviously a low-grade PC by today's standard but maybe even low-grade for the time just to keep costs down, the Xbox and the Gamecube usually had the best performances during the 6th gen though.
The best to me is the Xbox. It's the best ever controller imo the 360 is the perfect iteration of it
I am so glad you included i-ninja. It was a one of those rare games that I actually felt compelled to 100 % complete because it was so good. Billy west does the voice acting for the main character.
No mention of Phantasy Star Online Episode I and II?
I'm surprised he didn't have PSO in his videos.
that game is awesome even though i wonder if i would play after beating the final boss. i am not the biggest fan of fake difficulty and max leveling without reward
Portal Turret I have gotten to max level and I can easily say the most enjoyment you will have playing it is with the multiplayer/Online Mode.
Ozzorik Heartsworn not really interesting for me
In support of the intro, 007: Agent Under Fire (never ported to PC) on Gamecube, compared to PS2, has smoother framerates, faster loading times, better physics, improved graphics, bots in multiplayer, etc. In this instance the game is a different beast from other consoles.
That first game looks amazing :o
+Brony Paul still have mine :D
Tyler would you want to sell it?
Love these hidden gems videos! Thanks for all the time and effort you put into these - love watching the gameplay footage and finding more games to add to my ever-growing collection!
I dont get why they dont make a "Pac-Man VS U" for the Wii U.
That would be a great way to incorporate the gamepad too.
I just watched this again for the 5th time. Still awesome. I’m loving rebuying my GameCube collection with these videos. The GameCube is really an amazing console.
Guys, does anybody remember Def Jam: Fight for New York at all?
Hell yeah beast of a game
Is it good?
@@dwaynemenzies8824
Yes the game is really good.
Oh yeah!!!
That game was amazing. Such a responsive and brutal fighter. Still one of my favorite games from that generation.
It had a surprisingly in depth character Creator and you could have more than 1 fighting style.
You earned money as well and could use it to purchase new clothes and assesories.
Damanat That’s not a hidden gem, though. Everybody had that for GameCube.
I looked through a lot of "best" or "top" game cube games on youtube, and tales of symphonia is one of my favorites. Almost none of em had it on their list
You sir has a new sub
I love the gamecube controller :)
Gotcha force is one of my all time. Favorite games ever. So much replay value. You get something new after beating the game like 8-9 times. Plus, the story changes slightly a few times
I lived i ninja when I was younger, glad to see it get some love
An advertisement for it came with my copy of Pac-Man World 2 and I was always curious about it. I was actually planning on checking it out before I saw this video.
Dalek Swartz really fun game, I highly recommend it
+Austin Elliott can I just say you have the best profile pic ever
Fever Factory thank you, gotta represent one of my favorite artists right?
mmm yes porter is my fav
The silver wavebird gamecube controller is one of the greatest controllers ever
I thought it was too big imo.
Not as big as the original xbox controller though
Also Tales of Symphonia is the best Tales games in the series.
How about Viewtiful Joe and it's sequel?
man viewtiful Joe was the shit !! loved that game
"it frankly looks GORGEOUS" cuts to dead man laying on the ground decomposing
I TOTALLY didn't have a fangasm when he said Tales of Symphonia XD
Am I right? I've beaten that game 8 times! :D
No Chibi Robo? I'm disappointed
Missing gems:
-Chibi Robo (one of my top 3 personal faves)
-P.N.03 (play it like a shmup and you'll "get it")
-Pro Action Replay (Gamecube was the last console you could use cheat devices on)
-R: Racing Evolution (racing combined with a soap opera)
-Simpsons Hit & Run (GTA staring the Simpsons with a great original story)
-Timesplitters 2 (FPS with a great story and excellent level design)
-THPS 3 (best of the arcade style THPS games, I love how the levels evolve as you complete certain tricks)
OldMan_PJ yeah PN03 was a blast. I really got into it.
LMFAO Tube Slider.
I got really lucky and found a complete copy of Gotcha Force for around 18 bucks.
where?
+creekandseminole How? lol I want it so bad
It made me decide that I must start collecting gamecube games, and has me frantically trying to find these games because I now need to play them all!
if you love Gotcha Force your mind will melt for Zoids Battle Legends
I had I-ninja when I was younger. Hands down one of my favorite 3D platformers.
Gotcha Force looks cool, I'm gonna get a copy
*goes on eBay*
FFFFFUUUUUUUCCCCCCCKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just get a xeno chip
or use the Dolphin emulator
nintendont
Star Verix it's a great emulator but such a missed opportunity to not name the Sega emulator that after all Sega had a campaign who's catchphrase was "Sega does what nintendont"
At a glance I usually think the D-pad and C stick are too small, but in the middle of a game I never have any problems. That's the Gamecube in general - a lot of people judged it on sight alone and considered it a 'kiddie' system compared to the PS2 and XBOX. It was the third place system for it's generation but deserved a lot more praise. I'm glad people like you are showing what a great system it was and still is.
I fucking love gotchaforce, Everything about it is awesome about it!. Except the voice acting *shivers*
I bought mine online from Gamestop for about $20. Then I let my dad borrow it & he loved it too.
why dont you just play it for free on wii with dios miod or nintendont?
Daniel Fried or a GameCube emulator
fireheartis1 Hahaha. 2 year old comment laments that it's $100, 1 year old comment lamments that it's $150, and 2017 me laments that it's $200+.
GameCube emulator or modded wii/gamecube? I can't see anything unethical about downloading and emulating a old game that costs well over $100.
But I agree, they need to make more games like the Gamecube/N64/Super Nintendo, heck even the NES, I'd play 8-bit games on a 9th gen console.
john tyler Yeah I mean I still love the games they come out with but I feel back then they took more risks with games and they were usually good
Yo ThatsCrash Yeah, I definetly see that, the gamecube also had the "different games" not bad ones but they had Luigi's Mansion (which I love) at launch instead of a Mario game, Mario Sunshine which had the water shooting gimmick (it's not bad, it's a fun gimmick and a great game), The legend of zelda windwaker which had the cartoony art style which was drastically different from the others (which is still good), Metroid Prime 1 and 2 (FPS Metroid games that no one saw coming but were still great), Mario kart double dash which is the only Mario kart game where 2 people ride on the same kart (I think it's my favorite Mario kart game), Donkey kong jungle beats which I've never played but it looks fun, the list goes on but it was very different.
john tyler
Yeah and that's the reason why I love the gamecube it was different! Super Smash Bros Melee, Lugi's Mansion, and Mario Kart Double Dash are my top 3 Nintendo Games and they all 3 came from the gamecube. It was an awesome system with awesome titles. They need to go back to their roots on some games while also staying wih the times
They kinda did a good comtoller with the pro controller but I necer get used to the fact that the right analogstick is above the A B Y X buttons.
Yes the GC controller is also my favorite of all time, I love everything about it, almost. I think the button location makes really good sense, it´s based on ergonomics and feels natural. Only flaw is the placement of the Z button in my opinion.
Wheres simpsons hit and run :'(
and Luigi's Mansion and Super Mario Sunshine and SuperMonkeyBall 1 and 2 and Worms Blast and Spongebob the movie the game and Spyro ETD... the list goes on...
Most of those you just said are popular games...
Goober13md and cel damage
The game itself is very well known but then again not many people know about the gc version
the title of the video isn't "best selling games"
I liked this video because I appreciated how you would explain in good detail why each game was on the list and what you liked about it. I also like that you get straight to the point without doing schtick (like being angry or swearing excessively, etc.) Great and informative commentary. Keep up the excellent work!
I know this video is a couple years old, but anyone who checks out the comment section should add Vexx to the list of games they're looking out for.
thank you for the pacman vs. entry, we had such a good time with that game - its total mp fun + it has some social connectivity feature when you have to untie your cord chaos in the end of a 4player session :D great stuff!
Really?! Still no Pokémon Colosseum or Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness?! I know they're quite popular but they're still some of my favorite games for the GameCube, as well as Spyro: A Hero's Tail.
Gameskiller01 pokemon is lame ....
Yes, Tales of Symphonia. I've logged so many hours into that game and I still find myself going back to replay it.
FC;UAK FUCK YES GOTCHA FORCE YOU DID IT DUDE YOU DIDNT LET ME DOWN
Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem is a must have!
Then give me your own list: Which 24 games on the GC are mostly unknown and fun to play?
+Kevin Johnson The cube has only about 350 titles available so there is not much room for hidden gems to hide I guess.
+Dee Yvthai Are we all still waiting for OP's list?
Metal Arms: Glitch In The System is an amazing game. Its amazing on consoles it was on back in the day. It's on GameCube, PS2, maybe original Xbox, and now it's on Xbox Live. The game is amazing. So much fun you will enjoy it Metaljesus. You rock. Awesome video.
So many hours wasted on gotcha force, great game.
so you didn't waste time then
Time enjoyed wasting is not time wasted
Isn't it kinda like custom robo?
Worth getting then? It's not cheap....
YES FKING TOS!!!!
I love this channel so much, like no matter what there’s always something to watch.
i knew that i-ninja would be on this, but where the fuck is Luigi's Mansion and Super mario sunshine?! >8(
Luigi's Mansion and Super Mario Sunshine really weren't hidden gems. Both were best sellers and were given good reviews.
BlockSquad1000 not hidden at all
BlockSquad1000 it's Not One
I agree with you for the gamecube controller. And these were really great games you mentionned in your 3 videos. Good job and don't stop!
Tales of Symphonia is a hidden gem? uh... ok
you may know about it, but for most people when you ask about JRPGs you'll hear Final Fantasy a hundred times before you hear about the Tales series ten times.
1:24: Gotcha Force
2:53: Tube Slider: The Championship of Future Formula
4:00: Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom
5:19: Pac-Man Vs.
6:27: Tales of Symphonia
7:43: Wario World
8:49: Resident Evil Zero & Resident Evil
10:18: I-Ninja
I love how he says he's a hardcore gamecube collector but put a couple shitty or popular games on this list, and only had a gamecube for just recently
citsa Owens I have almost every good game released for the Gamecube and play it all the time.
***** I had it on xbox. It was excellent!
+Vin Venture yee that games primo af use to stay up all night playin that shit
+citsa Owens
He's a hardcore GAME collector.
Being part of a game scene when it first comes out has nothing to do with collecting.
Even if he never played any of them and his gamecube didn't work he still collects them to a ridiculous level.
Gaming and collecting games are not mutually exclusive, but they're not the same.
leave metal jeebs alone troll. do what your family did and stop talking to yourself. everyone hates negativity
tales of symphonia is literally my favorite game ever. i've played through it about 7 times, both by myself and with friends. it is so beautiful and there are so many side quests and different ways to play it never gets old. and i've started playing the other tales games like tales of the abyss for the 3DS and they are equally as good and just as long with different characters and story lines with similar gameplay. i cant think of people having a gamecube or wii without having tales in their collection. great list.
I may be a little late to the game, but I'm really enjoying your hidden gems videos and buying guides. I wanted to mention a game that I think sold pretty well, but I rarely see it mentioned when people talk about GameCube games, and it's called Viewtiful Joe; one of my absolute favorites for GameCube!
i love the gamecube controller, i just love the way it melts in your hands that you dont even have to think about it while playing games
I am so happy you mentioned tales of symphonia, the tales of series are the most under-rated games ever!
I agree that the GameCube controller is very comfortable and a great design. Thanks for a great video! 👍
You just got yourself an amazing game bro.
I had no idea how lucky I was to have a copy of Gotcha Force and I still haven't forgiven myself :(
And Battle for Bikini Bottom on this list?
The gamecube is my favorite system of all time, and definitely has my favorite controller.
We need even more games from the gamecube. The controller is very comfortable.Good job!
I was watching your first two videos and was hoping to see gotcha force on it, and I was glad to see it in this one! A lot of people I know didn't care for Virtua Quest but I thought it was an enjoyable game.
You mention Tales of Symphonia, but you didn't mention the special edition Gamecube console in turquoise with matching controller and gameboy player!!
I love all of your videos, but these are still my favorite. I've managed to get many of these and they're awesome!
