- It is time to drive the all new 2023 CFMOTO IBEX 800 motorcycle and see what it is all about. I will give a brief overview and review of the first impressions of this new motorcycle from CFMOTO. Plus Joel is on the CL-X 700.

my 2023 Ibex 800T is plagued with a consistant "MCU critical system failure" error and has bad throttle pulsing at lower RPM's like a bucking horse! I am regretting this purchase as the dealer is clueless as to how to resolve it.
EDIT AS OF 08/18/23 CFMOTO sent a OTA update through the CFMOTO Ride app, it updated the Radiator fan logic and has fixed my issue with the MCU error! My faith has been restored! the Throttle mapping reset proceedure has also helped the throttle pulsing issue I was having and I have learned to control the throttle better over time. Loving this bike each time I Ride it!

A bit late to respond but apparently fuel mapping at low rev's/throttle kind of sucks on most bikes with Ride By Wire. Even triumph and Yamaha have the same issue with jerky jumpy low speed throttle inputs.
Apparently the fix is to have the bike tuned. Some people just go buy a Power commander thing and it'll load it's own maps for the throttle and that helps out too.
Most people won't bother updating their fix or opinion so you sir are to be commended

Nice bike , IL stick to the Japanese bikes though. Definitely try to avoid buying anything from China

Talk about bait and switch.. $10,499 sounds awfully tempting….until you see the FU Fees… freight/set up, administration, ocean freight fee ++++++ and the near zero dealer network/parts/ support…meaning that IF you can find a Ibex MT the OTD price is dangerously close to $14k for a bike that is virtually impossible to find… and at that price, the Ibex MT’s twin sister KTM is a far wiser purchase…
Hopefully you have quick shit up and down with auto blipping on your 800 as we do. Tyre pressure and temperature monitoring. Slipper clutch. TBox technology to track and disable your bike. Also the 800 Ibex or 800MT as it is sold here is a KTM 790 engine so it is compatible with ktm 790/890 slip on mufflers. They bolt straight on and mount to the sub frame perfectly
Have you heard anything about the features on the “explorer” edition and if it will be released in the states?
I should make you ship me a 800 Ibex sport to las Vegas. It's just what I am looking for

Would you rather have a KTM or a Harley Davidson? Last year I bought 3 brand new motorcycles,, CFMOTO adventura, Harley Davidson Heritage Classic and Honda cr250! My favorite is the CFMOTO,,,,Its a fantastic motorcycle at a fantastic price made of top quality parts! I got the Adventura at Mainstreetcycle, great people!!
My iPhone is made in China... My Silverado is made in Mexico... Those Harley Pan America's are having their own set of issues... I'm thinking about giving one a chance. It's like 8K cheaper than a comparable Triumph Tiger 900 Gt Pro!
The bike is a ktm 790 engine. Kyb suspension, bosch efi. The 790 and 890 ktm engine originates in China. In the joint venture ktm cfmoto factory So if you think you aren't buying Chinese you are kidding yourself. Most bikes have something made in china
