@@stuiesgarage I’ve looked seems everything I find is either to big or to small, I’ve been stuck with this problem for a while now, I’m thinking about just pouring the transmission through the transmission coolant line but I don’t know if I can do that or not
Ok, 2002 1.8L Quattro here. I start it, put it neutral, pull the 17mm check/fill plug and atleast a quart comes flowing out at a high volume before i can get the plug fully threaded back in. Its atleast a quart and didnt seem to want to slow any. WTF???????
@stuiesgarage funny you say that. From the day I bought it with 125000 on it with a motor replaced 50,000 miles before I bought it, it would vibrate at idle. Like it was wanting to lunge forward. Did my tranny drain and refill and it doesn't vibrate now. To bad I've got a solenoid going bad causing a sledgehammer downshift from 3rd to 2nd and I can't find anybody that wants to work on it. It's funny the independent Audi shop told me it's a 2002 what do you want us to do with it? And it's a pristine car anyway what a shame thank you for your tips
@@MrPeeteboy that’s a bummer, I wonder if the solenoid pack can be accessed from the trans pan, not sure if it can but possibly an easy fix if it’s just a solenoid swap? A lot of these cars go to the junkyard because of stuff like that, even when the rest of the car is in good shape.
I haven't looked into the access of solenoids with pan off because I figured even an Audi independent shop didn't want to touch it because they said tranny comes out and apart . Seems like easy money if the could swap solenoids that easy . Shops are frigging weird these days. Anyway thanks!
I have pretty much always had a rough idle on mine, my injectors are relatively new so I don't think that's my issue. I have no boost at the moment and have tested a lot of things (hopefully a video on it soon), I think my wastegate is out of adjustment or broken... For your issue it could be a number of things, you could smoke test it to see if you have leaks, that's one of the easiest things to look for and a likely cause, I have another video on smoke testing this vehicle, check that out.@@AmbA4
I just wanna say I’ve been looking for a video like this for a very long time. Keep it up man.
Thanks, will do!

I cant find any hose that small skinny to where it will fit and right angled
I found mine in my spare parts bin, you can use anything, but maybe try looking in the plumbing section of the hardware store?
