77 Datsun B210
Even though the old carb looked clean I guarantee the pilot jet was clogged up because u didn’t take the jets out and inspect. U should be able to see light when u look through them. Also carb clean every possible hole and then blow out with air. That cost you a big headache and a month delay. The leaking oil sensor is a common issue. I used rtv casket maker to seal mine up and hasn’t leaked since.
Nice job , now see mine isn't stock so I'm premixing mine , I know where fuel line is but not where the secondary line goes to I know it's to pump the fuel but mines not pumping ..
So when removing the HB bolt, you’re stealing it down so it doesn’t move???
The bolt is upwards of 150+ torque when done properly. The bolt will actually spin the motor over rather then break free so the engine has to be stopped forcefully in this case the ratchet strap. I've stuck screwdrivers in the flex plate in the past
I need to do this to get to my front crankshaft seal that’s leaking in my 04
somethings been leaking out from my exhaust and today it stopped a little bit concerned
Same thing happen to my 2007 Ranger, I thought i had the wrong part... my belt went on the same rubber part and was still running... thanks for this video
Good Job 👍 I think the Float is bad or needs adjustment on the old carburetor I wouldn't throw it away always good to have parts, I like that champion plug gapper where did you get it? Looks like your girlfriend was having a good time. And the Denso Hat is Bitchin I gotta get one.
Yeah, I held onto the old carb just in case.
@stuiesgarage Idk if you got that zuma going by now or not but that sir is a carburetor issue not spark , could I suggest a dellorto carburetor lol , mine is 70cc with a dellorto carburetor although I cannot put my fuel pump that helps push the fuel in on to it .. 😅
@@stuiesgarageI see now an now I know what's what lol , vacuum line for the dellorto I cannot connect 😅
Now do it at their max voltage rating 😊 (according to one on digikey, 32V)
I have a 2-door Datsun B-210 Sedan, and I want to restore it. I have a lot of work ahead, but your videos have motivated me even more to put in the effort. I hope you upload another video in this series soon!
Most useless video ever. No results.
Definitely Different Never Saw a Video about Blowing up Fuses 😅 and if you ever get an old vehicle with glass fuses don't listen to someone if they say oh wrap some aluminum foil around it to complete the circuit you will be fine 😅 only do it if you can determine it didn't blow because of a short, cause if not you take the risk of burning it to the ground.
Approximately how much transmission oil should be added to A4 2l alt engine 2004 model
My coils of my 1.8 T have just reach 27 years and not change
Thank you for making this video this is exactly what happened to my 2005 Ford Mustang the belt came off and was riding on the edge of the harmonic balancer just like yours was in the video I didn't know for sure whether or not it was the balancer but after I seen your video I figured out the same thing happened to you happened to me again thank you for making this video.
Glad the video helped!
THANKS A LOT!!! I've been searching for a video that show me how to remove this type of radio but nothing...until you appeard. Again thanks
No probablement, glad that someone got some use out of this video!
why didn’t you just make a vent mount that looks pretty bad tbh
almost makes me wish i still had my 76 B210 coupe . . . almost
strange - my 76 210 coupe had rusted front floors but a solid trunk my new trunk floor was just 3/8 plywood
Thank you for this. Excellent information! Saved my day.
Where did you run your power wires at? I couldn't see clearly how you ran the wires only asking because I have another A4 I'm trying to run the same gauge you have on my Where did you run your power wires at? couldn't see clearly how you run the wires only asking because I have another A4 I'm trying to run the same gauge you have on my car but defiantly not in the same location.
how about the center console electical problems
It is just under filled you have to put 8 qts in after filter change on a 4x4 Explorer and let it run out as it warms up when warm and it starts coming out slow then put the screw back in make sure it doesn't leak then you are good
Bummer fella. The fluid should be a red color not MUD color. I would bet the system is not getting cooled properly. ALSO, the transmission filter is probably plugged so good you replaced with new one. I can tell you your transmission is TOAST FOR SURE.. You should change the fluid every 30000 miles and you would never need a new transmission fella, THAT IS A FACT. GOOD LUCK STUIE !!
Nah…. I’ll stick with driving Toyota and Lexus cars. This German garbage will bankrupt you. These cars are endless money pits
Isn't there suppose 2b a cork gasket on the flange?
Thumbs up for dropping your tools in the old oil!
Real Mechanic activity right there!!!
I’ve got a 03 a4 1.8t and I haven’t been able to jack it up yet, but I’ve got an oil leak that’s coming from somewhere. Far as I can tell it’s leaking down to the front passenger control arm. If any guess as to what it is I’d appreciate it
Could be valve cover gasket or cam seal on the high end, or oil pan? Could also be from the turbo.
You are so patient. I find myself watching for over an hour. Great video. I have a datsun 210. Keep it up 👍
Having this issue with my 05 ranger. everyone legt thought the wrong part was installed because the way it looked in the photos. this video just saved me soooooooo much headache. TY
Crazy
I had the same issue
Hi - I'm currently doing this on my 2005 Mercury Mountaineer but I'm having trouble pulling mine out. You used the same screw that you'll use to install the new balancer?
If you mean the crank bolt, then yes.
Ok, 2002 1.8L Quattro here. I start it, put it neutral, pull the 17mm check/fill plug and atleast a quart comes flowing out at a high volume before i can get the plug fully threaded back in. Its atleast a quart and didnt seem to want to slow any. WTF???????
Maybe it was overfilled to start with?
@stuiesgarage funny you say that. From the day I bought it with 125000 on it with a motor replaced 50,000 miles before I bought it, it would vibrate at idle. Like it was wanting to lunge forward. Did my tranny drain and refill and it doesn't vibrate now. To bad I've got a solenoid going bad causing a sledgehammer downshift from 3rd to 2nd and I can't find anybody that wants to work on it. It's funny the independent Audi shop told me it's a 2002 what do you want us to do with it? And it's a pristine car anyway what a shame thank you for your tips
@@MrPeeteboy that’s a bummer, I wonder if the solenoid pack can be accessed from the trans pan, not sure if it can but possibly an easy fix if it’s just a solenoid swap? A lot of these cars go to the junkyard because of stuff like that, even when the rest of the car is in good shape.
I haven't looked into the access of solenoids with pan off because I figured even an Audi independent shop didn't want to touch it because they said tranny comes out and apart . Seems like easy money if the could swap solenoids that easy . Shops are frigging weird these days. Anyway thanks!
Lol i totally felt that moment when the socket fell into the pan 😂 also thanks for the video Also why did they hide the dipstick?? Whack
I'm confused. I read this about EGR and Combi valves. "The EGR has a line in from the charcoal canister, and out to the throttle body. The Kombi valve has a line in from the secondary air pump, and is connected to the exhaust manifold, and also has a vacuum line attached to the side controlling the actuation from the solenoid that controls it ". Google. Are they the same ?...Many videos show replacement of this valve as combi ?....thanks ! lmk please
My problem rn too, cause theyre both recirculatory systems and also hard to find specific parts too.
Nothing here that a competent garage that can spell Audi will not be able to fix.
more involved than I thought
Got any idea how to solve P0171 on the 1.8t? I already replaced the crankcase Ventilation system that was obv. damaged but the fault code still comes back. *I also have freeze Frame readings if that helps
I think you should add a 10" subwoofer and 100 watt amp. LOL
Short, simple and to the point. Awesome sauce. Thanks dude
Nice. Thanks!
Thanks for the video man. I’ve done this job before but needed to do it again, and your video got straight to the point and was super easy (also bought a new VCV because you pointed it out, and that is likely the issue on mine, but since I have a new pressure regulator anyway might as well install!)
Great video! Did you end up replacing the turbo?
No! I took off the turbo, ordered a new wastegate on eBay and then welded the new wastegate on and reinstalled the turbo. Boost is back to normal! I wanted to make a recap video on this, will try to soon…
