We recommend to warm up the car to operating temperature to lower the viscosity of the transmission oil. That is especially important in cold surroundings. At operating temperature the oil can sweep away the unwanted particulate material best.
+MEYLETV Please a little help with my car, is a 2005 A4 1.8T multitronic but mine does not have an oil pan so where the filter goes? do I need to service the celenoids too? but then again where they are at?
Thanks for the detailed instructions. how many miles should I be doing this on my 05 passat tdi? I just did it for the first time at 100k miles. Any instructions like this for my jettas? 2004 and 2005 5speed auto. thanks!
Hello again I went to the dealer Audi and he say you don't have to change fluid from transmission forever so I don't know why?! So can you figure out why what the reason he said , thank you so much. Mohamad kilani

I have a question..... In my country services using ATF machine's to change oil in automatic transmission. They saying that oil in transmission can be change on 95% only with such machine. Other people saying this is not recomendet. Wich one is the correct oil change procedure you thing ?
You are absolutely right, the biggest advantage of ATF oil changing machine is that you can get almost everything of the old oil out of the transmission. At the end it is not really needed to flush the transmission if you are doing your oil change continuously. It is the same like doing an oil change on the engine. You will never get out the full amount of the old oil, that is the reason why you change it so often. Some specialist in refurnishing transmissions think that flushing has a bad influence on the clutches for the different gears.
Hello Murat, unfortunately we can't answer your question because in this case we need your chassis number. Please ask the workshop of your trust. Your MEYLE team
Lijep pozdrav - MEYLE TV
You can perform the oil change according to the 6HP Video we have done: ua-cam.com/video/4o25nkP--J8/v-deo.html. Oil temperature must not exceed 50°C while checking. Different tightening torques on filling and drain plug. Drain plug M10x1 gets 12 Nm. The filling plug M30x1 gets 80 Nm.
Hello Manny, for giving you the right answer we need to know if it is a 8-speed transmission from ZF or a CVT transmission. It would also be helpful to have the transmission code. Your MEYLE team
Hi Meyle team, I have an 8 speed transmission in my Audi and has the same question about the procedure. I believe it is built by ZF and the code might be NTF, if I am looking at the correct info?
Hi Matt, unfortunately we still need some more information to answer your question, e.g. the chassis number and the transmission code. The best way to send us your data is to use our contact form: www.meyle.com/nc/en/contact/ Your MEYLE team

Is there a kit for the 09G in the 2013 Passat S 2.5? The fluid from the dealer has the part number G 055 540 A2. I am not sure if Meyle kits for this car are sold in the USA. I am always looking for a cheaper alternative to the dealer's $24.80 per liter fluid which may be just as good but for possibly much less money. I do like to change my fluid especially since the 09Gs have had some problems in the past which mostly seem to be valve body related. These problems may have been brought on by the EVIL HOAX of lifetime fluids. Sure there are long life fluids but not lifetime fluids. NO fluids for any car I have ever had would be good for a lifetime, NONE!! Even the best fluids need changed at some point.
Hello Charles, please contact our local partner IMC from California to get further details about availability of MEYLE products. We fully agree with your opinion that every fluid has to be change one day. That is the reason why we came up with the oil change kits for automatic transmission, even though the manufactures tell us the filling of oil is “for life”.
@@MEYLETV What is worse is that some like BMW I hear won't even touch it unless there is a problem. Well, unless that problem is from old fluid and not damage done by really old fluid it does seem really ironic. I know that they would all like us to buy a new car but some of these newer ones fail under 40,000 miles. It is sad when there are cars that normally would have lasted much longer. I am a do it your selfer on things that I can do myself. I have changed the fluid in my Volkswagen even without a lift or raising it off the ground. The garage I park in has gravel in front of it which I just temporarily rake a little of to the side. Then I bring the car so the front wheels are near the edge of the floor and set the parking brake. I can get under it to change the oil and transmission fluid easily enough then. To fill, I run a clear vinyl tube down and stick a funnel in that tube. It is not a very big funnel but I just add the fluid more slowly and keep a clean catch pan down below just in case the tube comes out and I lose my fluid. I have never lost any fluid doing it that way but the pan is just nice to have for that rare instance since the fluid for these cars is so extortionately priced. Or at least that is what I would have someone else believe I paid. It is an Aisin transmission and seems to run OK on Aisin WS which I can get for around $8.00 per quart. I see it this way, Aisin really made the transmission so why wouldn't their fluid be the better choice? Older generations of the same transmission worked just fine with Aisin Type T-IV which seems to be very similar to WS anyhow. It also shifted more smoothly too because it may have been a little low on fluid and the stuff that came out was dark like motor oil but with a visible red tinge if held in the light. I know on most cars only half can be drained out at a time. Then this car does not have transmission fluid running to the radiator so a flush that most people do is out of the question. I would be a bit nervous about trying to flush through the transmission cooler lines anyhow since if it runs dry you could easily damage something. Then you have more problems than disgusting black transmission fluid.
Hello again, basically you are right with everything. Our philosophy is the oil change, if this is done regularly, there are no problems. If an oil cooler is present, however, it is sometimes difficult to flush it, because they often have thermostat valves installed, these only open at T> 75 ° C. Many gear types are very complex and sometimes do not allow any change, or filter elements are out of reach. With our solution, we wanted to keep the cost of the workshop and the costs for the customer as low as possible. Basically, we try to clarify in the market that it makes sense from a technical point of view to change oils and liquids in motor vehicles regularly.
One important tip. Never undo the drain plug before the fill plug. This could leave you with an empty transmission if the fill plug is siezed
great tip!
I have heard that before and it is the best tip for people who have never done this before.
Well that was spot for explaining how to do the job and what to expect, watch out when you pull the filter off!
Thanks for that.
We recommend to warm up the car to operating temperature to lower the viscosity of the transmission oil. That is especially important in cold surroundings.

Just Wondering it seems as this is a Q7? If so is this the 4.2L With the 09D Transmission or the 3.6l with the 0AT. Definitely would help me a lot.
thank you very much for this tutorial boys!
great video, thank you, just one question, what is the torque specification for the oil pan bolts?
Sorry for the late reply. Oil pan bolts should be tightened with 10Nm.

So what choice i have to make ? Should i change oil with ATF machine or i have to do it with out machine as normal changes like engine ?
A normal oil change is completely sufficient. A regular change every 80,000 km is recommended.
Would this be the same procedure as the Audi A6 c7 Multitronic?
The Multitronic-gearbox is a completely different system. The procedure on a Multitronic-gearbox differs and it is not like in the video.
