Would u be able to doa low Elo legend vid on a game I saved I am super noob and have been playing for two weeks now but I do love strategy games like chess and hate to say it siege to a point and that’s why I got into aoe cause I saw what u could do with the game and the potential is just curious to see what people would say about my skill level and if I’m heading right direction

The worst part about this is that red team was on the right side but their stats were on the topleft.

I watched this game on Yo's live stream. Yo actually fell for the chat trick and shouted "how come he's in castle age" (*). Everyone in the chat was telling him it was the chat trick, but he only realized that at the end. He said he did not notice the architecture or score...
* "How come he's in castle/imp" is one of the running jokes in Yo's stream, probably because he doesn't have the best eco. Yo does that in different tones and accents though and it's hilarious. I remember one time he was playing Villese and shouted "how come he's in imp" in a very funny tone, and I laughed for a whole minute.

Usually 13-19GMT are the live stream hours. Outside the window it's mostly recordings. His stream as well as the website is 100% Mandarin Chinese though.
PROject_Belgium occasionally drops by and chat in Chinese.

They literally can't even advance fighting each other! I love it how a stone miner changed everything, they were using all the resources, whatever they had in their hands for their freedom what an insane game wow. We know Yo is a talented genius player from other vids but this comeback is different.

18:28 you can make fun of that upgrade all you want, but he just increased the efficiency of 60% of his villagers by 20%, which is a 12% overall economic boost. HUGE GAINS!!

If dracken had pushed that lumber camp instead of walling it, he would have won 100%
Or he could have found that lonely stone miner and killed him. :) Without that stone Mr. Yo wouldn't build a new TC for a long time. :)
Also the last TC douche attempt wasted a lot of villager time for Dracken, so maybe it also changed the game.
T90 what are your thoughts on TheViper getting into LEL? I personally enjoy it and his can be very fun to watch especially since he casts much lower elos.

Game went on nearly an hour and neither player managed to advance to castle age, talk about noobs!

27:00 Dracon had 500 wood and eco. Skirms or scouts would have destroyed Yo forward and it would be gg
139 food = 1 scout; 500 wood - 175 wood for range, doesn’t translate too many skirms.
The thing is it’s 500 wood leftover instead of good eco. It’s there because game’s messy and eco is unbalanced.
This is like two hydras fighting each other. For each head that gets torn off, a new one grows right back.

The game deserves its title. Dracont basically beat Yo, but then made wrong decisions and allowed him to come back. Dracont is a legendary guy, for the last 6 years he played a crazy amounts of AoE2. 10 thousand games for sure.

@Thirsty Sexpert nah, the LNs actually prove that Kazuma is extremely capable in a normal party. Kazuma briefly swaps parties with Keith and Dust, and while at first the party makes fun of Kazuma, he quickly proves his resourcefulness when he incapacitates a troop of goblins and helps them defeat a creature known for hunting lower level adventurers. By the time they all return to the tavern, Keith and Dust are apologizing to Kazuma and begging to have their old party back

Yea I he should have done another tc drop then - would have lost a lot of villagers. Or at least he shouldn’t have idled his TC and maintained a 21 villager lead like he had. Was a good effort though yo really miscalculated when he took that fight and went down to 5 villagers
Usman Shahid I’m not sure that Yo really had a choice to fight or not. I think if Dracken did a few things differently he would have won it
Sam yea you could be right forgot he didn’t have resources initially for a third tc. dracken did a good job until then he should have went all in but he can’t see the whole map like we can good game
Usman Shahid I agree, it’s definitely easier to say that when we have a birds eye view of everything. Tbh, I think Dracken was also really tired or something, he was playing a Chinese player, so it was probably late for him. He seemed to have issues with noticing blue dots on the map or checking for idles etc. If he was more focused he might have been able to tell that Yo didn’t have much else except that one woodline. Yo would have sent what he had left to fight, but he didn’t.
Not destroying the lumber camp was a huuuuge mistake. Also he could try to make sure Yo was not getting stone by checking stones.
But it's always easy to comment from outside.
I came here because of the video that TheViper posted from "low levels players". I didn't know you had a channel. "low level" is also human and deserves to be happy. Congratulations. keep training.
Just keep in mind viper was making fun of t90 in that video - t90's like 2k+ elo on DE 11.

I kept getting confused by the overlay, with Yo being left on map, but right on overlay. It could really use with a way to swap the positions of the player

The first time I did the persian douche the guy called me a hacker and rage quit after 5 minutes.
I've only ever been douched once but i was doing a inca vill rush... it was a weird game

Yo almost threw that by not putting the two villagers building his last TC between the foundation and the woodline. He was lucky Dracken didn't spot it.

I don't understand the reasoning behind fighting persian TC. They will always have a huge lead because for 550 wood you can only repair 2400 hp, whereas persians repair 4800 hp for the same price.

I wonder if it would be worth it to try and keep the non-Persian TC alive just long enough to immediately research Wheelbarrow. Having faster Villagers ought to be huge in those otherwise close Villager fights for chasing weak enemy Villagers while preserving your own weak Villagers. Would love to see a Persian TC drop against Berbers or Vikings because of the faster Feudal Age Villagers.
Also nice to see the Teuton Tower + Archer combo get some use. It's an underrated tactic which makes Teuton Archers a little better than at first sight, especially upon reaching Castle Age for free Murder Holes and Herbal Medicine.

I'm a huge AoE 1 and AoE 2 fan, in my childhood I used to play both of em nonstop since my first pc that I had was only able to run these two games perfectly. Now I posses both AoE:De and AoE2:De. I still play it time to to time but mostly against very hard AI in a chill way. Well then it looks soo weird to me when these kinda hardcore players build their stuff, I'm more of the looks guy that goes for practical yet finely made bases.
Everybody has their playing style and that makes this game so great :) I live for these messy feudal games!
Real high level play. 40 minutes of vil slap fights and repairing. Inspiring stuff. The new meta.

So it doesnt matter so much anymore since Socotra isnt in the map pool since the patch, but there is only 1400 stone (4 2 tile stones) on Socotra, and playing Persians to douche and laming your own stone is pretty much a guaranteed win
I'm always a fan of DracKeN. After all, I'm Czech and he's the best Czech player in this game bar none.
Sadly, when his games show up on your channel, they are most of the times losses against top 15 players.

T90 if you see this I got suggestion for community game. 8 players on nomad, everyone vs everyone (no diplo) and map size for 2 players. (I haven't seen this kind of community match if there's been one).

socotra is my fav map, always fun to play map, always ridiculous games on it, I could personnaly send thousands of games like this
imagine that one day the developer decided to add the attack hotkey for vill, to one the civ. Then it become one of the bast vill rush civ in the game.
So heres the thing. Sometimes I'll watch these videos and after like 2 minutes I'll skip around to get past some of the boring tech-ing part of the game. I did that from the 2 minute mark to the 4 minute mark, and all of the sudden I see a Town center on the other side of the map and a bunch of burning buildings.

Yeah you do but if the building let's say a castle is at 99 % (Daut) you would only get a little bit of the stone left.

As someone who is so far outside the top players that I may as well be in another galaxy, my opinion is that the best counter to the PD is to scout it. Mr. Yo was super greedy with pushing in all his zebra and if he had scouted instead I'm 100% sure he could have punished this strat in an instant.
