Basically a combination of bookish knowledge as well as having idea about current affairs and social issues. For example, a person who has finished school, finished higher studies and got a job but has very little idea about societal problems can be called "literate". On the other hand, a person who completed their studies and got a job but is also active about issues which people face, especially minorities, can be called an "Educated" person.

Appreciative!! Thank you for this. I'm happy someone is talking about this. And ps, I'm a law student so I can say that, our judicial system is somehow responsible for raising the rate of rapes. Quick justice and a wider point of view to look into matters of such cases is really needed.
Solution : Reform the previous ( soft) laws mentioned in IPC or adopt & enact strict laws & regulations of Saudi & China. & Throw the British made IPC into the garbage ( since India or Indians can't be like Nordic nations or Nordic people so only option we have is to implement cruel & harsh punishment. )

Yes! Sex education and awareness could help a lot....Also the gender biases in literally everything also encourages sexism....Chores and Careers are divided on the basis of genders.....if a boy chooses a 'feminine' work and a girl goes with a 'masculine' work...they're strongly criticised.

A few years back we had a presentation on sex education for which we had to sign a consent form via our parents. I was in class 10 back then. Less than half of children had it signed. I wasnt one of them. But now looking back at it I realize how wrong the school had thought during that period thinking it is something immoral to see children without parental consent. Literally every child's reason to not attend was that their parents will think that its bad and vulgar. Now I see how things go wrong around us everyday and we aren't even aware of it because of lack of practical knowledge and a heap of unreasonable morals. I hope we can take a step and give our contributions atleast.

Here's an example (based on real life experiences and evidences): A girl who smokes and drinks is called "bigadi", "not sanskari", "easy", "loose woman", "not a desirable partner for marriage". A boy who drinks and smokes is called "bad boy", "not sanskari", "nastik" (the last one is the one I personally heard my nani call my cousin). But yeah the thing is people start judging a woman's character from her smoking and drinking habits. A boy is definitely judged but they don't straight up start assuming his entire sex life. That's the difference.
PS: I'm not saying boys don't suffer from gender discrimination. They certainly do but not when it comes to sex life. For them, it's about the money they earn. Sad how our respect doesn't come from what we have achieved but rather how we behave or how much we earn.

Solution : Reform the previous ( soft) laws mentioned in IPC or adopt & enact strict laws & regulations of Saudi & China. & Throw the British made IPC into the garbage ( since India or Indians can't be like Nordic nations or Nordic people so only option we have is to implement cruel & harsh punishment. )

The law for raping should be more strict than it is now. In fact I think the guilty should be sentenced to death in front of his family. That way some parents would teach their children the difference between right and wrong due to the fear that their children might end up the same way. And it will be an open statement saying we as a country do not tolerate rape.

Sex education is very important. .. till 2 years back, I used to think if a girl is not your lover you can not even hold her hand. .. so I used to be very uncomfortable even with my best friend (girl )... then for post graduation I shifted to the town. .. got some "town cultured modern friends" girls boys both. .. I saw how much comfortable they are. .. watching movies in evening, fighting, playing. .. on holidays having fun in each others flat. .. so beautiful. .. now I recovered from that thought process. .. now I can put my hand on my friend's shoulder without any hesitation. .. funny thing is she also put her hand on my shoulder 😂 ... there is so many types of touch and all are different in their expression . .. there are huge list of whom you can touch. .. whom you can not. .. without proper sex education you can not learn properly. .. even now I feel why I had only 5 or 6 female friends till my class 5 to graduation ... but I have 50+ male friends in my connection. .. 50:5... this is the ratio. .. it is not that I didn't have desire to make new female friends. .. but ... you know. .. I didn't have the education. .. I used to hesitate. .. now I have so many female friends. .. actually "ek ladka aur ek ladki dost bann sakte hai"... zaroori nehi always lovers ho!

I am a Kenyan. Recently there was this case that a Kenyan UN member was physically assaulted (not raped) by a gang of 30 bike riders. The case was registered, listened to and the verdict was that all bikes were banned for 5 days and the 30 bike riders . So my belief is that if people don't understand the language of love, use the language of fear. If the Indian government shows a very strict verdict that shocks the rapists, the rapist will think a hundred time before a rape. Thank you 🙏
