things Indian education system never taught us:- 1. practical knowledge 2. Good mental health. 3. Sports as a career 4. How to interact socially? 5. How to become financially independent ?
A few reasons it may be, 1.students are bored with the outdated education system. 2.Teachers are not skilled in this system, if they are, teachers are going to coaching centres for a healthy salary. 3.Students are not interested in education. Because of social media. 4.few students are interested in education, But not the pressure. 5.students are forced to sit many hours in school/colleges every day. If they are at home they have homework. They don't even get time for playing, for this most are depressed or anxious. 6.teachers are concentrate on a few students either merits(for name)or demerits(cit chatting).
Please tell what's the question for your reasoning? You're doing the exact same hideous thing mentioned in the video (if there is a business which blames the customer for its product flop, it's the education system)

1. 0% importance to sports 2. Less importance to computer education 3. Education just for marks 4. Recruitment of eligible graduates in government schools though as contractual basis, but help in employment of aspirants till they get job & help in improving student-teachers ratio 5. I am also a Maharashtrian, completed schooling in marathi medium, living in Sweden. Feels so proud that I can teach marathi to my kids without hesitation. His school teacher also respects his mother tongue and tries to speak in same language with him. I wish we had same respect for marathi as these foreigner have. They insist to learn in your mother tongue to help child understand things better.
In my schools, i had teachers who could not teach. I didnt understand concepts, and had to take private tutions. Our problem also lies in unskilled teachers who also were chosen through exams, not their skill
This video struck a chord with me. I am a MSc student at IIT Guwahati, I once heard something shocking from one of our professors. During class, he told us, 'If you go abroad for a PhD and research, never come back to India.' At first, I was taken aback. But as he explained, I realized this wasn't about disliking India. This professor himself is a very brilliant, sobor and insightful person he was just frustrated and was expressing this deep frustration with the state of research and development in our country. He spoke of the political game-playing, the hypocrisy of parties claiming to support scientific progress while focused solely on power. He pointed out the severe lack of government investment in research and the constant struggle for funding. Seeing this distinguished professor so disheartened was eye-opening. It made me reflect on the challenges facing Indian researchers and the brain drain we're experiencing. This video captures that anger and disappointment many of us in academia feel. We love our country, but we need serious reforms and support to build a thriving scientific community here. Otherwise, we risk losing our brightest minds to opportunities abroad.
I think it's ironic that's Indian teachers and parents put a lot of emphasis on education but not on developing skills of their students. I am not blaming teachers as a whole of course their are some teachers who are trying their best to inspire kids. I remember going to school and being bored out of mind during class , the only time I looked forward to was the breaks. Their is so much pressure for students to excel in academics , with them being told they could lead a successful life if they are really good at school. For in reality most are frustrated , unhappy and trapped in jobs that underpay and make them miserable. I don't blame parents they want us to live a easier life than their but the solution isnt to make everyone a engineer , a doctor or a lawyer. The solution is guide them to understand what they are passionate at and help them excel in the that field. This guidance must happen from a young age so that they don't get stuck in a mediocre job where they have to remain for life because of their responsibilities. We complain about the government and like to curse them for all of our miseries which is definitely a huge part . But no encourages their kids to be law makers or politicians or scientist or researchers or all those lucrative jobs because their are scared of job security. So change also has to take place from with in . If you truly want to give your children a better future , guide them to live a fulfilling life. Our generation has already gone through the educational pressure , now it's our turn to guide our children . And teach kids from a young age about financial literacy , something out country grossly lacks . We should teach our kids how to manage their money as well . Yes life is exhausting , we barely have time to live our life's , but we have to make time to inspire and teach our kids.
not just financial literacy..basic law , basic medicine , cooking, self defence , science, tech and other practical skills should also be taught to students i feel a curriculum should be made for a year or 2 after 12 th to explore all these and choose what they are interested in after being invested in all kinds of path ways.. practical exposure is must.. today's students lack practical exposure.. @@Pixiemaniac

As a student. I'm really happy that you made a video regarding this topic. I'm in 11th std (science) right now. I secured 86% in boards . Even in school our teachers still tell us that "how we are supposed to see each other as a competitor" not a friend. My child is in class 5 and has 8 main subjects: Maths, Science, English Literature, English Language, Social Studies, Computer, 2nd Language, and 3rd Language. Each of these subjects has an average of 6 chapters to cover for the half-yearly exams, which adds up to 48 chapters in total. My child starts studying at 8 am, continues until 1 pm, and then resumes from 5 pm until around 9:30 or 10 pm on days without school. You might wonder when they find time to play, pursue a hobby, or just relax-unfortunately, they don't. The school follows a strict regime of continuous exams and projects, with no repetition of chapters. Every exam introduces entirely new material, and there's a constant stream of projects to complete. Why is there so much unnecessary pressure? Why do they need to learn about wind directions, Rhizobium bacteria, or Roman numerals? What is the purpose? Why are NCERT history chapters so long and dense? Have you seen the Class 9 NCERT history book? It covers topics like the French Revolution and socialism in Europe. Why do *we* need to know about this? Do Europeans learn about India's independence movement or the Mughal rule in India? As both a teacher and a mother, I am simply fed up.
Why should we learn about the history of other countries, that’s why I didn’t bother to study History at all . Even in 10th class I only studied the salt march from the entire history syllabus as my only focus was to just pass 10th standard and pursue commerce stream in 11th which is mostly practical and factual ( i was certain that I won’t take Science stream as I am not interested at all)
@@lordjack255 degrading a subject is another reason why the education system is bad. You may not study it but learn to respect it. Everything has its own place. Even the history of other countries can teach us something. As an individual you should've have basic knowledge about everything. You want creativity then fulfill creativity's demand. Creativity demands knowledge.
The problem is, everyone except the current students wants the system to change. If you ask a 6th standard student, if he wants to change the education system, he says NO. If you ask an Engineering student if he wants the syllabus to change as per international standards, he says NO. As a parent of an engineering student in a metropolitan city, we have concern about not heaving proper teachers in colleges. There is no ethics while teaching students. Yes, I agree that there needs to be a friendly relationship between students and teacher but it's shocking when a teacher who's been in the profession for several years openly consumes cigarettes and alcohol with students, talk about casual relationships and one-night stand despite being a female teacher. It is difficult for students to raise question against her since she's a women. When people blame the Indian education system, it's essential to acknowledge that there are indeed significant challenges, such as rote learning, intense competition, and issues with accessibility. However, it's also important to recognize that the system has produced some of the brightest minds globally. The problem isn't just with the system; it's a complex mix of outdated practices, societal pressure, and a lack of holistic reforms. Instead of just pointing fingers, we should focus on pushing for meaningful changes, supporting innovative approaches, and fostering environments where creativity, critical thinking, and personal growth are prioritized. Blaming alone won't bring the change we need-action and constructive dialogue will.

True
This video struck a chord with me. I am a MSc student at IIT Guwahati, I once heard something shocking from one of our professors. During class, he told us, 'If you go abroad for a PhD and research, never come back to India.'
At first, I was taken aback.

Agree 500%
so true We need to learn about Indian history not European revolution.
The problem is, everyone except the current students wants the system to change. If you ask a 6th standard student, if he wants to change the education system, he says NO. If you ask an Engineering student if he wants the syllabus to change as per international standards, he says NO.
Problem lies in the deep seated mindset that, being in uncharted waters is too challenging. Whenever government changes the education system, a thorough counselling should happen alongwith it

The society and government needs to embed values in our education system rather than just preparing students for jobs and exams.

1. Language wala point thoda complicated hai. English compulsory english medium schools mai hai but state schools mai uss state ki mother tongue language hi hai medium. Hamare paas koi common language nhi hai Russian ya Mandarin jaisi (south india Hindi ke against hai). Agr states mai mother tongue compulsory kiya to jin baccho ke parents ki transferable jobs hai vo konsi language mai apni education karenge?
2. Government security to deti hai papers ko but vo "security" hi kitni honest hai? Security aur tight karne ki zarurat hai but at the end of the day ye individual morality pe nirbhar kar rha hai
3. Perfectly valid
4. 100% sach hai, jo kuch heere India mai reh jaate hai kisi aur ke liye johri banne unko politics daba deta hai
5. High competition ka only reason hai population jisko control karne pe koi action nhi liya jaa rha. Reservation education mai do exams ya job mai nhi, unko financial help do materials do but exam ya job ke liye har kisi ko same mehnat karni hogi. Aise hoga development unka jo aaj bhi society mai peeche hai
Extra: Teachers ko disrespect karne ka trend kab se aya? Hamare liye to hamare teachers bhagwan samaan the. Ye value ghar se seekhi jaati hai parents ki responsibility.
6:37 tbh personally the reason is reservation 😅... Classmates who have scored less than me get better opportunities... Then why the hell students like me would prefer to learn things here in the country, where our efforts are not appreciated because we are of XX upper caste 😢
Completely true.
If the country is against me learning here, then why would I study and work here??

My father is a teacher and he said that today's student's are so disrespectful that sometime he thinks he quiet that profession 😔
There is so much pressure on us .
The teacher's aren't always nice ,
They go on our upbringing,They slap is ,degrade us ,say mean things to us ,Humiliate us in fron of the whole school.
But get mad if we say anything back to defend ourselves.
The teacher's are just as disrespectful if not more disrespectful than students.
@@fairiesarefair i agree... this is a point missing in this video
My opinion is - Reservation Government ne band krna chahiye JIS se exam me competition bdhegi
tilhis is my opinion .
Reservation northeast ke states me kabhi ban nahi honi chahiye, tripura ke original tribes bas 30% reh gaye aur Bangladesh se jo refugees aye hai jab se partition hua usse pura northeast pareshaan hai
i think your thinking is low or your mentality go watch out side then decide why reservation is imp for them we don't have much quality to change resevation

Hello abhi and niyu,
My state tripura is facing extremely hazardous flood which never happened in around last 30 years. Around 10+ people lost their lives and few are missing. The situation is getting worse day by day, the roads are getting destroyed, landslides are happening everywhere and yet half of India ain't aware of this situation. I hope you guys will talk about this and spread awareness.
I was not aware of it, how is the condition, is there still consecutive raining going on?

VERY PRACTICAL VIDEO as i will try my best to change the whole system
Indian Education System lacks in 3 ways
1. Education
2. System
3. Indian

true most of students didn't want to do hardwork and blame the education system....
@@Prakulbansal8853 no youre clearly in the fault here, the education system IS and WILL REMAIN FUCKED for the forseeable future, i chose commerce stream because it provides financial knowledge and is probably the most practical stream unless you want to develop skills in arts or science, however i had a friend who chose science and switched over to cmmerce himself, and we both took maths, as in, the math you study in PCM
the worst decision ive taken, comparing commerce and maths, maths is the worst and most useless subject i have in my entire skillset, i still get good marks at it, but everytime i pick up the book, i want to burn it and go back to 11th
ive seen both sides, ive committed and showed hard work, and i secured good marks (giving boards this year so icant say the percentile, but in 11th i got 92% despite maths dragging me down very slightly) and i still agree that the education system will reamin fucked, and if i had to suffer this, then everyone after me will too
