Ah your living the life one dreams of. Bring on summer look out ocean. I'm a bit sook in the cold but keen to get out again. Thanks for the videos love it.
Hi Ollie! Just begun watching some of your videos and I have to say, awesome stuff! Nice to see you local to Auckland showing what can be done with some get up and go attitude, seems to be plenty of options. Subbed, liked and looking forward to more. Cheers.
Pretty awesome sight seeing a work up on the surface.... sure gets the adrenaline going 👌👌shame about no kingy but fish and crays just as good cooked up on the beach yummy... cheers Ollie for another beautiful trip with you...👍👍
hi ollie ! im a new subscriber but i love watching your videos man! keep up the good work brother, love the edits and everything you do to keep us entertained, i can see you in a few years with a million plus subscribers
I was thinking of you the other day while I enjoy my salmon /kawhi sashimi on the beach and butter fried flathead fillets and Abalone /paua . Another great video mate I enjoyed it as always . .
@@olliecraig-primalpursuit There's no denying that , back in the early 80s everyone was horrified with my love of fresh caught sashimi . It was bait back then .
@@olliecraig-primalpursuit As someone who was an exchange student at a formidable age, I think home is just home to most of us. I have always felt a huge admiration and draw towards Australia and New Zealand. However, over the last few years, I have learned so much more about the specific attributes that separate New Zealand from any other place in the world. From the terrain, animals, ocean life, history, to your current Prime Minister, NZ is an amazing place like no other! Despite it being your home, you seem to have a deep appreciation for that. Keep doing exactly what you are doing and your channel will grow beyond your expectations! I am so envious of your opportunities, yet I do recognize that you make them. ENJOY!
Thanks mate cheers. Yep I did, If you can please edit your comment however to remove the name and refrain from mentioning spots in future that would be great. respect the locals
youpoo must be holding you back bro. I aint had a notification in ages so i came looking, 5 vids bro I ant been notified for. I am subbed bro, notes are set on all
Another awesome dive shesh bro 👌 bummer there wasn't any kingys under that work up , always next time tho. An wow that last spot looked amazing seeing all those crays . Keep it up bro
Thanks bro! There actually was one at least! going back through the footage someone pointed it out in another comment. right in the middle of the kahawai school was a kingi! ah well next time aye!
i like to slice lemon , garlic , tomato and basil dice cray meat stuff gut of snapper wrap in foil bake on hot coals of fire drizzle with chili oil , give it a try ollie
Hey mate. Another good one. My weekly watch over the bridge here in SA. I'm sure this has been asked b4 and don't want to put in ur head, but you guys get the same big bitey's that we get here. Don't you get worried a bit ( a lot lol)? Some of those places you are going look pretty Sharky to me.
Hey Shane, We get Sharks but not the same as SA. Predominantly just Bronze Whalers which are easy to deal with and don't attack us unless provoked etc. We don't have Bull sharks or Tigers so just leave the Odd GW but these are only common in a few places and overall extremely rare to encounter while diving. I've never seen one myself
Nice vid as usual Ollie. Curious to know if you notify coastguard or anyone when you go out on your solo trips, more so the overnight ones. Especially if the neighbours where you park your car and trailer see that you went out and didn't come back in the evening in case they ring the cops or coast guard to inform them some boatie has gone out for the day and hasn't come back? resulting in a search and rescue operation?
Yes I do, I had this happen to me once. Luckily the Coast guard knew who I was and were sitting in the office watching my videos waiting for me to check in the next day. 90 percent of the time I am in cellphone reception anyway to they can call me to check in.
Pretty sure you have had a free tent cooking stuff and possible the jeep from sponsors cat you find one that will give you a decent knife , hell even a sharpening stone go big !! :-)
I just explore and find my own spots. No fish finder. Current plus structure eg rocks/points/pinnacles and you will find fish and lots of forums and info online if have a look
Why does it matter what our ancestors chose to call a particular species? What Australians and NZers call "kingfish" are called "yellowtails" in the US, whereas Americans call a totally different species "kingfish". "Snapper" in Australasia are not the same as the "snapper" in the US. Why do Americans call "mahimahi" "dolphin fish"? Why do Australians call a common saltwater fish "salmon" that is totally unrelated to species the rest of the world know as salmon? The saltwater "trout" in Florida are totally different to the "trout" in tropical Australia, and they are not "trout" as in freshwater species. The list is endless. It's a pointless and a bit insulting to insist someone is right, and someone is wrong.
Rough water, but great courage, and you kept it safe, and scored some rewarding food.
Good going once again. 🙏👍🙏
What an adventure. 🍀🍀🌞🍀
Great catch, and your lunch is worthy of 6 screen licks. Thanks Ollie.

Yep dill is great!
Hi Ollie, always enjoy your vedio. Just curious how much deep do you normally dive in? Cheers.
Cheers! Not very deep, 5-15 metres normally
Just wondering if anyone knows how he finds spots to fish on just his RIB boat, does he have a fish finder on the boat, or does he just know area?

As Thor said below, Species are called all sorts in different areas of the globe. Lobster/Crayfish.. Both taste great!
