    I actually finished vagrant story. The best tip is to have many weapons for each kind of enemy made of hagane at least. Save most of your healing items. Dominate the combo system and ALWAYS USE HERAKLES AND PROSTASIA ON EACH BOSS BATTLE! (Also save the crossbow for the final boss)

    I owned Crystalis as a kid and beat it several times on my NES, but it definitely isn't easy. I had to wait until I read an article in Nintendo Power about how to find an important character hidden in one of the towns that allows you to progress to be able to finish the game. I love it and think it may be the best action RPG on the NES.

    So, for Brigandine, you show gameplay of Grand Edition (Miguel shows as a Knight, in Legend of Forsena they are called Cavaliers). Grand Edition did have a tutorial section you could play to better understand the game. Sadly it was never localized in NA so the only way to play it is through emulation. Legend of Forsena, which was the one we got in NA on the PS1, did not have a tutorial. I'm trying to remember if it had a good instruction booklet, but I just can't remember, it was 20 something years ago.

    on grandia extreme. Get the bow chick ( can't remember names ) and the axe wielder into the party. They have a combined move that is like a complete heal and status effect heal ( can't remember if revive KO ) for whole party in battle. Combine with meditate ( sp restoring B-rank skill on guard x 2 ) and you practically have immortality in battle.

    Complete agree about Pandora Tower, the game had serious issues in the game mechanics, and the motion controller never settle really to the game, but not agree about Vagrant Story, that is a master piece, truly difficult, agree on that, I believe the real problem here is that the game doesn't explain it self, not to say about if you beat the game you are beating just like the 60 percent of the map...

  • @ruekurei88
    @ruekurei88 Рік тому +1

    I played and finished Pandoras Tower and Vagrant Story. First off, you don't have to use the wiimote for Pandoras Tower, just use the classic controller and feeding your gf the correct meats affects the ending. The game is fairly easy actually. As for Vagrant Story, you seem to be playing that game kinda wrong. First off, you're going to want to chain attacks and reflect or absorb attacks from enemies. It shouldn't be a 'hit for hit' situation. Some of the challenge will come in by working out timing for your various combo moves, as they will have different attack animations and timings for different attacks that you can assign(and also different areas on the enemy to target to chain attack which affect the enemies attack and/or movement). You're also going to want to forge some good weapons through combinations of different hilts and blades. Just use a guide to get your feet wet for the first quarter or so and you'll be good for the rest of it. Timing with long range can be a pain though, and the samey scenery can be annoying. Still, both Pandoras Tower and Vagrant Story are easily manageable(enough) and fun once you know what you're doing.
    I finished my play through with the wiimote for Pandoras Tower, but that won't be everyone's cup of tea. I do strongly advise you to back to these games and try them out with my suggestions(or anyone reading this). You still might not like the games afterwards, but you'll get a better understanding of the games maybe.

The game requires tons of commitment in terms of time studying crafting, battle system, different weapons, enemy weakness, just from the top of my head. • @ArbiterLibera

    Vandal Hearts 2 synchronous system complaints were always silly to me because what it really amounts is wasting the first turn to see which enemy is paired with your characters and in what order the non-paired ones will react. That's it. If anything AI's overreliance on back attacks makes the fights REAL easy because you learn how to lead enemies to slash at empty air.

    I wish more modern JRPGs were difficult or featured a hard mode. It feels like the genre just keeps getting easier and it makes it really hard for me to stay engaged.
    I understand that they want to be welcoming to beginners and people who don't want to fuss with hard games, but well balanced adjustable difficulty settings really could keep everyone happy. • @shelbatron9731
      @shelbatron9731 4 роки тому

      What I did was use this website : persona1.wikidot.com/demoncontact . All you really need to use demon negotiation for is to make the demon have the "eager" status so you can get spell cards for new Personas. About halfway down the page, there's a table of what action to choose to get the demon into the "eager" status. Just match up the personality type of the demon with the chart. For example, Slime has the personality traits of "foolish" and "gloomy," so responses like Maki's "Lie" or Nanjo's "Sarcasm" may work. There is always a bit of RNG with these responses, though.

    I beat Warsong on the Genesis, but I had to grind using the level select cheat and it is the only RPG I used a cheat to complete. When Warsong ignores the troop strengths and weaknesses, it is because you are too far away from your commander or are fighting on terrain that is either disadvantageous for your unit type and/or advantageous to theirs. In Warsong, terrain modifies your AT/DEF, just like in Shining Force where it can give you a DEF boost.

I can't ever get through the third main area because there's no way to recover health outside of your very limited supply of items (no shops!), your power and HP increase very slowly while the enemies get stronger much faster, and you can't return to a previous area to grind once you've completed it. It also does the Final Fantasy 2 thing where the only way to get more defense on a body part is to get hit there repeatedly, and the only way to make a body part stronger offensively is to use it to attack dozens of times.

      Well done! I personally ADORE the Xenosaga trilogy (particularly Episodes I and III) but my least favorite was definitely Ep. II. The focus on Jr. was superb and the story was fantastic but the game felt like more of a grind-fest than the other two games at times. The production quality wasn't as good either. In any case, I pretty much did everything in the game during my initial playthrough and you aren't missing much to be honest. It's kind of cool to do everything but during my second playthough, I did exactly what you did. I was too excited to reach Episode III I suppose. ;)

    Too bad you'll never beat Brigandine, best game ever made. Also, the video was showing gameplay from Brigandine Grand Edition with an English patch and not Brigandine Legend of Forsena.
    That being said, not sure what the big deal is about the maps, even when you were complaining about it your movement range was already halfway to the enemy It's not too difficult though, all it is is about positioning your knights to defend while sending others to attack.
    If I can almost solo(should have, I made the mistake of not casing cure instead of heal,) a single well, sort of stacked in my favor of not very difficult battle with a single knight, it obviously means the game isn't that hard. And what's not to get, you move and attack or cast magic. Like any TRPG it's about positioning. Although in this case once you're in the middle of battle there's too much going on that positioning is more so what characters go where as there's no getting out of battle once you're in outside of withdrawing with specific characters or fleeing altogether.
    This is the absolute greatest game of all time.
    ua-cam.com/video/eBiupQt84JA/v-deo.html
    Vandal Hearts 2 is also too easy because of it's new gameplay mechanic. The idea behind it is move who you think they're going to attack and attack who has already moved. The story is the biggest reason to play this as the story was great, the gameplay is the worst part about it, but even then atleast solid.
    And Grandia Xtreme only gets really difficult on the post game 100 floor dungeon. You don't even really need to grind to beat the game.
