I’ve seen many of these before and still…every time i see the torch, it makes me laugh. It’s a hysterical juxtaposition to the bushcraft videos. I take it as a reminder to not take ourselves too seriously. I like camping with Steve!

It was nice to be reminded of all these creative fire starts! My favorites were the accidental sparkler bomb and the butane stove exploding. As long as Steve isn’t hurt I do love a little mishap.

My favorite camp fire technique is definitely the sparklers lmao. At first he looks like hes thinking, yeah this looks like nothing should go wrong. Then realizes that, this is in fact about to go VERY wrong.

I always hit up construction sites for scraps of unpainted, untreated wood. They usually agree since it's less for them to take to landfill.

I totally miss the wood stove and the ice fishing tent. It was like a complete habitat that you could use to survive anywhere, even in -30°C. I found your channel back when you were temporarily living in that tent and I was researching ways to live outside for extended periods in a cold climate, so this will always be what got me hooked and will always be dear to me. I even got some nostalgia seeing this footage.
Those were the first Steve vids I found too. They’re definitely nostalgic at this point
