I picked mine up 6 weeks ago, before i have been a Hilux fan.....sorry Toyota, but the Raptor is way out in front. Living over in Thailand i can also get the pace up to more respectable levels and with sport suspension on almost all the time it handles the klong bridges comfortably and in control. For those not familiar, these are short, reasonably steep bridges that you often take well over Aust speed limits.
Been a Hilux fun too they are awesome but I have been very well convinced by the ranger raptor, amazing truck, amazing, can wait to tour my country with mine, goodwill to you,
Hi@@davidpereira7235 , have owned over 12months and its been great. I put a big winch on the front and regularly tow either my jetski or trailer with 2 motorbikes and it accelerates like there's nothing there.
My fiance and I just sat in the 2023 gen at the little auto show here in Germany. We both loved it! The interior was leagues better than the regular Ranger and so was the comfort. I also just learned Ford is finally bringing it to the North American market as well though that iteration's motor is supposed to have 400hp or around there. Definitely more than what you can find in the UK and here in Europe. Can't wait to drive one!
Only the F-150 Raptor has 450HP / PS The Little Ranger Raptor has around the World around 200PS? PS: I cant wait for F-150 Raptor or Raptor R in Europe / Germany.
Quick tip. On the gen 1 raptor, you can turn off all the stabilisation and traction off if you hold the traction control until it flashes. Make sure the traction control has been switched off before doing this. This make the car much better off road, let me know if anyone is aware of this.
I took my Gen 1 to Robe last year and never got stuck even in the soft sand pulling my mates out that got stuck and i was running maxxis razr m/t tyre on 16 psi, the raptor is a machine in the sand even the first gen, i even had it in 4H all weekend and just used my throttle controller and didnt change the modes
@@trickster8635 the biggest complaint on the last raptor was the boring engine. I guarantee you this one will outsell the last one. If you don't want to "jump dunes" then you don't need the suspension either. Buy a wild track
@@trickster8635 Diesels are on their way out the door. I have a Chevy Colorado with a 2.8l and it’s a boat anchor. Yes it can tow 7600 but now so can the new gas 2.7l turbo Colorado and even 100# more. Turbo gas engines are now making diesel torque numbers and better at the same mileage. Also less maintenance. I know it’s a Chevy but when I got it the Ranger was not available. After all the problems I have had with the Chevy and still don’t have 50k on it I will never buy another GM. First and last I will ever own.
Hi, may I know what soundtrack are you using for your intro? Been looking for this for a long time.. I always like listening to this everytime I watch your intro.. thanks mate 👍
America is FINALLY getting the 2024 Ranger Raptor this fall. The order banks open up in May and I will be placing an order. The wait will be worth it! The exclusive Baja inspired suspension and TT 3.0L motor are worth the price of admission.
If Ford increase the the tow and load capacity (Including GCM), I am in. Otherwise I am in a wildtrak with a GCM increase from ARB with other ARB accessories.
I have to try driving a Ranger. I often wonder how the Ranger auto compares to the manual especially since Ford are phasing out (or dramatically reducing) the manual version in Australia.
You don't miss the manual box in a Ranger Raptor (either generation) because when you select Manual mode on the shifter it goes full manual... doesn't kick back or change up unless you ask it to. The paddles work very well and it's possible to pick the gear most suitable for what you're doing and just float along in that gear... on fast trails or the beach you can just mob along in 5th, 6th or 7th and have plenty of punch and even if you go full throttle at 2000rpm it won't try to kick back a couple of gears and rocket launch you into the horizon. A lot of people are dubious of the paddles and think they're a gimmick but when used correctly they're faultless.
Had a first gen for 122,000km and really loved it... as soon as that driveline combination was confirmed by Ford I got in the queue! 4,000km down and I can't say I regret a single thing about the petrol engine.
@@christopherrobert92 when demand slows down and scalpers stop trying to make a buck out of them or dealers are holding floor stock they'll be a good buy again!
@@trickster8635 we get it most of us with the BS hype of 3.5 out the gate don’t believe that especially after GCM calcs. @@trevormclaughlin269 Don't Coyote swap it... that's $50k down the gurgler and I reckon it'd still be slower than a next gen ;) although it would SOUND better!
Wot about a real world test drive? Load it up for touring at max GVM and then add 10% more weight, as everybody has to, and then drive it like you own it! At the moment, you are nothing but a light weight beach buggy!
If some one else wants to do that go for it ! Id never make a raptor a tourer, that's not what its designed to be. Better to buy a wildtrak to do that.
It isn't designed to be a tourer mate... Irrespective of the low GVM it just doesn't have the range for it... My worst fuel consumption so far is 48L/100km over a 70km stretch of bush driving giving it some berries... Day to day I only carry around 100kg of gear and the car has averaged 17.0L/100km for the first 4,000km but I don't care. I'm not into touring and "big" days for me are 500-600km but I go past at least four or five service stations with 95 or 98 in stock so it isn't an issue... Realistically it's a toy not a tool... And anybody wanting it to be a draught horse has bought the wrong Ranger.
@@ELheretik1351 if you're heavy on the right foot it could in theory need many tanks of fuel in a day.... but even at 17L/100km you're only going to have to find fuel around the 400 - 500km mark somewhere and you'll be right.
