I've really embraced the 18v Makita kit, but the most used by far has to be the 4.5" angle grinder. Aside from that I have 2 Parkside (Lidl) 10.8v drills that get used all the time.
The deuce is a special treat, & George is a bonus, even though busy. Your new helper seems to take direction more favourably. As an assistant, she is a keeper. Tool: Milwaukee 1/4" cordless 1 8V, impact. Had Hitachi & Panasonic previously, also good kit, as you say. 30 years ago, choices were limited.
I love the videos. You are truly fortunate to have such a wonderful assistant. So rare to find a lady that will get her hands dirty. My favorite tool is probably my volt meter. 👍
That’s amazing how little effort it was to get the pair running. It’s like they just had them running yesterday. Great vid lord muck! I can’t wait for the crawler and what else is coming up next! My all of Milwaukee battery powered impacts. Those have been my saving grace since I got them. I am a mechanic myself.
18 volt Makita drill had it for about 15 years now and it still going strong. David Brown tractors always were a good starter, I used to have a 990 and even when just about everything else on it was worn out it still started on the first turn. Replaced it recent ly with a Kubota 5450 and that dose not start as quickly.
Best line - "have you got special needs?" :) :). Best tool I own would be 1930's thread cutting lathe. Lovely to see both of these running, please keep videos like this coming.
Would be great to see the major in the back ground have a will it start, another great video I would say a power tool I couldn't live without would be the cordless impact drill
Power tool? Torch. At a pinch I can do most things by hand. An impact gun is nice but you can get by with a breaker bar and a ratchet for instance. It's tricky to make light by hand!
Got to be the 3/4 drive Milwaukee impact gun with 12ah battery. Not found anything yet it won’t undo, as am on spanner’s all day everyday as an ag engineer it is priceless to me now. Milwaukee for the win wouldn’t have anything else. 👌👌👌👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Great video as always. Cheers Pete
18V Hikoki Impact Wrench. Breaks an M8 bolt if you try. M8 is metric, dunno what is is in English. Hikoki is the brother of Hitachi, would recommend! Really like tour vids!
1/2 inch drive DeWalt 20V impact driver. I use it for changing between sown and street tires on my Lincoln Mk Lt and people along the road with flats. It was very helpful for the family in the Winnebago that had a catastrophic blowout in front of me.
My Belle Minimix 130 cement mixer. Got given it in 2012 as it didn't work, fixed it, still working 8 years later! Never thought I could grow to like a machine with crappy plastic gears but hey people can change 😉
Man that took almost full rebuilds but you got there in the end, great work...LOL... Always a good day when I get a new LM video to watch over breakfast. Thanks and cheers,Rob.
Another great video, nice to see 2 of the 147 crawlers in the same shed in such great condition. My can’t do with out Snapon 1/2” 18v battery impact gun.
As others, 18V Milwaukee angle grinder, 1/2" impact gun and torch (was bought as a kit) also from the same shark saw (good for cutting a side off a grain tank on a combine when we're shrinking them to fit into a container for export).
Mister Lobb fancy seeing your good self here lol, You and your mate with the TD 206 a couple of years back have some answering to do haha, currently balls deep in a multiplexed (formerly 1.1 petrol) 206 with an ex-Xantia 1.9TD we built a few months back. It's been great fun, but the Mot runs out end of the month so got some soul searching to do in order to sort the test out, not least the electronics having a major hissy fit not seeing most of the petrol control/sensor gear haha! Hoping it'll be able to be put though on HDi specs and if I wind the screws back out enough might just squeak through emissions for one of them... Hope you're doing good & playing with dervs still, not seen much from you lately.
For home use, working on the cars and whatnot, my 18V 1/2" impact. Torque for days! At work, it would be my 12V 1/4" ratchet. Bought it to do one particular job, now it's often my go-to tool and definitely makes certain jobs quicker.
would have never known that David Brown made crawlers nor tractors for Oliver. I only have one power tool believe it or not a 50+ year old drill so I guess that would be my favorite power tool
Another great vid Mucker, nice to see more of the older stuff, my newest is a series 1 7610, oldest is an 8N with a perkins conversion so i love this kind of stuff. Best Cordless tool, Fronius accupocket cordless welder. Doesnt get much serious use but its handy for out in the fields repairs.
Cordless grinder definitely a must. I have a stanley 1 and no he can't have it back. Another must have tool for me is my Bluetooth fm transmitter. Means hands free on anyones machine as long as the stereo and cig lighter works
For me, it would be either the Makita 18V angle grinder or the 18V 1/2" impact gun, well done with the crawlers! My Aunt has two petrol/tvo T20s that I am itching to try and start, one hasn't moved since 1969, thankfully it was put up on blocks by my late Great Uncle, original tyres and all!
Oh Lordy Lordy....what a great under carriage.........no not the tractor......the Lordess. Lucky you to have such fine help. Enjoyed this post. You know what you are doing.
I kinda knew you would be onto a winner as soon as you said they were david brown engines...sweet as a nut those old girls .....👍👍..... as for power tools my pickhill welder will have paid for itself 100s of times over.... my 9 inch Bosch angle grinder has outlived almost everything else iv ever known.... and my latest purchase...a 4 n half inch cordless angle grinder has been a real gift from the gods...keep up the good work 🙂
Great to see the old stuff come to life..hard to believe they will run on that 30 year old fuel...18v 1/2" makita impact is my go to tool. If the nut won't come off with that I can always pound out the bolt after it twists off...
I got a Milwaukee 18v drill. It’s just a standard regular brushless power drill but I’ve used it for about everything. I’ve built a deck with it, I’ve used it to break bolts free with a socket adapter, I’ve drilled metal plates, I’ve even used it as a grinder. Great tool very tough.
That’s another great 👍 video your lordship and I always look 👀 forward to seeing them, those classic crawlers sill have plenty of life left in them and it would be truly great 👍 to see them working some day in the future. You always ask really great 👍 questions and my answer for you is not really a tool but a decent sized workshop, so that I can do basic maintenance on my bicycles (yes I know nothing with an engine ) or get things for other projects started and finished, plus I could really use a battery powered impact driver that would be a very useful piece of kit fo anyone’s tool kit. Have a great 👍 night and I will look forward to seeing your next video !!!!!!!!.
Absolutely fantastic video of the David Browns Lord. Will there be any videos of the Cropmaster? I like the banter regarding the straight pipes, I'm not one for the straight pipe have to admit. Question regarding the power tools would be the small hand grinder.
Great video Kurt 👍 an doesn't she just have the loveliest smile😍😍 gettin 2 David Browns without a cracked block is amazing 💪💪 favourite power tool gotta be 3/8 impact wrench 👍
Absolutely could not live without my 18 volt Bosch cordless drill!! Had it about 5yrs and I cannot kill it. Hardly ever needs to be recharged, just keeps on driving. I love it. 👍 On the flip side, Clarke cordless half inch impact. Absolute s***e!! ☹️ saving up for a Milwaukee.
@@LordMuck In my case, by the time I have removed the wheel nuts on a single axle on the Land rover the battery is dead. Have replaced both batteries and still the same. I think I have sort of given up on it. Clarke corded grinder tho probably keeping up with the Bosch on reliability. Take care sir. Might have a go at the electrical gremlin in the Landie today.
Yes I'd definitely agree with you. Cordless grinder and 3/8th gun with the wobbly sockets. I've got dewalts but most of the guys in the shop have milwaukee. It's great hearing those crawlers fire up and move. And your lady sounds like a real sweety
Another great video mucka. I am slowly building my set off makita LXT cordless tools. But I have to say I am with you on the angle grinder. So bloody handy!!
That’s a right pretty helper you have there. Lol. For there age those are some straight old crawlers. Here in the states it seems like if you find a smaller crawler/dozer like that it looks like somebody pushed it off a cliff. Just beat to death. As for the tool, Milwaukee M18 impact driver. That thing literally gets used daily.
great video, its amazing that these start after sitting for 30 years and Kevtee is collecting 10 year old cars that are end of life because something has gone wrong or non economical to repair
Favourite power tool, has to be my little 50l compressor. Very underrated bit of kit, oft taken for granted but don't you just miss the fark out of it when you've only got a single barrel footpump haha not to mention powering the next best thing, cheap Aldi "Workzone" 1/2" impact. That takes the sweat and swearing out of so many jobs for me.
Awesome video nice to see your helper easy on the eyes I guess one tool that I can’t live without is my Makita impact use it all the time driver that is have a good one be safe over there
AEG 18V rattle gun screwdriver 1/4 hex drive but takes 1/4 3/8 and 1/2 Socket fittings Use it daily for 6 years .finally retired it for a identical one .
I surely would love to own that dozer as it seems to have most of its required bits sorted. Milwaukie anything as it is my brand go to. Of course that is state side so what it is anywhere else is a good question. I like to hear em all run again..... really enjoyed!!
I was just thinking to myself, i wonder where lord muck is, and like magic, here you are. Another awesome video. You always get me laughing with your clips. The power tool i cant do without is an 18 volt cordless ratchet. Seems im always removing long bolts and it saves me so much time with the push of a button. I cant go back to manual.
Muck, I have got a Makita cordless torch like yours, it would be hard to go without it. I managed to glue the battery on with the stuff I was lining an old fuel tank with, that should have been the end of it but it wasn’t. That battery catch is not as good as it was though. My ALDI cordless 1/2” rattle gun is pretty handy, more power than the air ones gracing my tool box. Jeff
So glad you got hold of kimberley instead of silly blocks 😍😂🤣😂🤣
I've really embraced the 18v Makita kit, but the most used by far has to be the 4.5" angle grinder. Aside from that I have 2 Parkside (Lidl) 10.8v drills that get used all the time.
Very nice! The lady seems to bring good luck!
I love your channel 😬
Yep, she certainly does Wes ! Nice to see you getting on with your crawler 😉👍
Both those crawlers fired right up, I have both a 1/2" air impact and a cordless impact, just fantastic tools!
The wife's gas fired "bedroom toy", that think always picks up where i left off!
My cordless drill from Aldi in the sale.
I love the videos. You are truly fortunate to have such a wonderful assistant. So rare to find a lady that will get her hands dirty. My favorite tool is probably my volt meter. 👍
Dewalt chopsaw twenty years old and I use it nearly every day . Worth every penny .
What a lovely pair.... of David Brown’s 😉
That’s amazing how little effort it was to get the pair running. It’s like they just had them running yesterday. Great vid lord muck! I can’t wait for the crawler and what else is coming up next! How much do we love Kim?-" send it!" Cracks me up, you created a monster!
Best line - "have you got special needs?" :) :). Best tool I own would be 1930's thread cutting lathe. Lovely to see both of these running, please keep videos like this coming.
Cracking video and what a surprise how well they fired up with so few issues 👌👍
Would be great to see the major in the back ground have a will it start, another great video I would say a power tool I couldn't live without would be the cordless impact drill
Impact gun definitely, don't know what I did before I had one!
Power tool? Torch.
At a pinch I can do most things by hand. An impact gun is nice but you can get by with a breaker bar and a ratchet for instance. It's tricky to make light by hand!
Milwaukee 3/4 impact gun , how the hell we managed fitting the tracks on the two forest machines we have I’ll never know !
What a cracking pair of crawlers and they both started without too much trouble!
Nice to see you again Dan.
Got to be the 3/4 drive Milwaukee impact gun with 12ah battery. Not found anything yet it won’t undo, as am on spanner’s all day everyday as an ag engineer it is priceless to me now. Milwaukee for the win wouldn’t have anything else. 👌👌👌👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Great video as always.
Cheers
Pete
18V Hikoki Impact Wrench. Breaks an M8 bolt if you try. M8 is metric, dunno what is is in English. Hikoki is the brother of Hitachi, would recommend! Really like tour vids!

Your knowledge is amazing, to remember how they run
Another great video, nice to see 2 of the 147 crawlers in the same shed in such great condition.
My can’t do with out Snapon 1/2” 18v battery impact gun.
Your kipper when that 1st one started. Proud as ya like!
As others, 18V Milwaukee angle grinder, 1/2" impact gun and torch (was bought as a kit) also from the same shark saw (good for cutting a side off a grain tank on a combine when we're shrinking them to fit into a container for export).
Milkwakuee 3/8 M18 impact...I have the 1/2 also which is an animal, but day to day, I couldnt be without the 3/8 anymore. Life changing tool!

Best Cordless tool, Fronius accupocket cordless welder. Doesnt get much serious use but its handy for out in the fields repairs.
Well done Mucker you're a Magician with them old engine's ,even got a lovely Assistant, just don't start sawing anything in half😂
Kimberley is a damn sight better help than Saunders
Blimey! Finding a bird that will help with projects is just heaven. I'm still looking! Another great vid! Does she have a sister? TA
Cordless grinder definitely a must. I have a stanley 1 and no he can't have it back. Another must have tool for me is my Bluetooth fm transmitter. Means hands free on anyones machine as long as the stereo and cig lighter works
The cut scenes on these videos are absolutely genius.... excellent video as well ways. Top channel. 1/2 inch milwaukee impact gun.
Milwaukee 1/2 in impact 18 v . Love how you make everything look so easy. Thanks for making these wonderful videos.
No double trouble here, nice one Mucka👍I don’t use grinder much but Milwaukee 3/4 inch impact has pull bolts off tight situations.
Definitely the Milwaukee 18v kit I have and out of those it has to be the 4.5” grinder just so bloody handy !!!
Cracking job on the crawlers Kurt.. Oh the best power tool in my other halfs opinyon is a 8 inch vibrater LOL. Take care mate..
🤣

Not sure it counts as a power tool but adding a tirfor winch to my tree work kit has made my life much easier
I have a Spammer that is amazing. It's an adjustable spanner one end and a hammer the other. It's a tool for all jobs ..
Ryobi one 18 volt pistol drill. Never have used electric powered pistol drill since. It has everything you can wish for and that includes no cable.
3/4 Milwaukee impact gun , absolute animal 👍🏼
You should start the rest of the machinery in that shed
Great to see the old stuff come to life..hard to believe they will run on that 30 year old fuel...18v 1/2" makita impact is my go to tool. If the nut won't come off with that I can always pound out the bolt after it twists off...
I think there's less chance of any issue with 30 year old fuel than the modern shit we now use.

A good workshop is key Jack. Makes life so easy.

Finally some decent tractors. Love the David Browns. Nice job. Metabo 18v grinder and 1/2 impact. I can't pick just the one
Good vid Muck, like you I always liked the DB diesels, as for power tools?, ..........................at my time of life;- my partners Rabbit.
Great video Kurt 👍 an doesn't she just have the loveliest smile😍😍 gettin 2 David Browns without a cracked block is amazing 💪💪 favourite power tool gotta be 3/8 impact wrench 👍
30 years idle, starts with minimal effort. Got to love an old DB
Absolutely could not live without my 18 volt Bosch cordless drill!! Had it about 5yrs and I cannot kill it. Hardly ever needs to be recharged, just keeps on driving. I love it. 👍
On the flip side, Clarke cordless half inch impact. Absolute s***e!! ☹️ saving up for a Milwaukee.
That's strange - I've had the Clarke 1/2" impact for nearly 8 years and it's been a great bit of kit.

Mine is one of the old Ni-cad batteries and is okay but wish I had a spare but they are horrendously expensive !
Yes I'd definitely agree with you. Cordless grinder and 3/8th gun with the wobbly sockets. I've got dewalts but most of the guys in the shop have milwaukee. It's great hearing those crawlers fire up and move. And your lady sounds like a real sweety

As a mechanic standpoint I use air impact both 3/8 and 1/2" variations. I'm not into heavy duty but there's many of times I need that stuff.
My best power tool is my snapped off Twoose buck rake tine! it gets things done and puts power exactly where its needed. Jim NZ
Grinder You can fabricate so many things with a grinder
Another great video released on my birthday!! Thanks Kurt
Great video guys, what a sweet find(s) in that she'd and they ran nice too! 👌. My Hitachi cordless drill is absolutely irreplaceable! 👍
18v Milwaukee impact driver. Use it as screw driver, and also with the socket adapters, for nuts and bolts.
David brown reliability.
Power tools I can't do without: DeWalt 18v drill. + 40v cordless grinder
Killdozer! Nice one Kurt. The old man would have been smiling.
Couldn’t be without my air needle gun, but the 18v Milwaukee 1/2 impact come in close! Yet another interesting video Mucka!

However the wife can't do without her V8 twin turbo 240v rabbit .

Great video, cant believe how easy they started, you must have magic hands , pity george didn't want to help!!!!
Nice to see you back on the channel mucca my tool is a Hitachi 18 volt drill ace bit of kit

AEG 18V rattle gun screwdriver 1/4 hex drive but takes 1/4 3/8 and 1/2
Socket fittings
Use it daily for 6 years .finally retired it for a identical one .
Congrats on 30K my friend!
