Han didn't kill Greedo in cold blood. Han said "over my dead body", to which Greedo replies "That's the idea. I've been looking forward to this for a long time." It was glaringly obvious that Greedo was definitely planning to kill him, but Han acted before Greedo, possibly because Greedo didn't know Han had his pistol with him. This seems like a pretty obvious case of self defense.
That change does not bother me.

@@archiejohnson6711 I'm not terribly bothered by who shoots first, just that the reasoning behind the edit is stupid. George Lucas thought that Han shooting first somehow makes him look like a bad person, all I'm saying is that it doesn't make him look bad at all.

Anyone born in the 80's knows that Han DID NOT shoot first. Han was the only one who shot.

The edited version looks so weird like George Lucas just physically moved the frame and made a "pew" noise and then put it back and hit play.
Well what would you do if a broccoli head was holding a blaster barely inches away from your face and, knowing bounty hunter weapons in star wars, probably had the power to blow the front of your head out of existence? I would pull out my blaster and shoot under the table so he doesn't see it coming and doesn't have any time to react, I mean, come on Han, if his guts are all over the cantina floor, is he any less dead? I don't think so.

Han shot first if you dive deep enough into star wars history in the original version of the of a new hope, han killed greedo before he could fire.

GenerationTech do NX-01 Enterprise vs the Millennium Falcon!
That's kind of a terrible idea given that:
A) The Falcon and NX-01 aren't even the same type of ships. One is a multirole explorer and the other is a modified freighter. It would make more sense to put the Falcon against one of the freighters of that era like the Y class or J class.
B) The verses battles here are done via polling and since this channel has a Star Wars core fanbase, that means that most people will vote for the proverbial home team no matter what any information might say
C) The last couple of times they tried Trek vs Wars here no one was happy with it
D) The research department needs work, no offense intended. It's difficult to comb through all of the available data in a reasonable amount of time; especially when they'd constantly get messages pestering them to post it or for certain results to come out. But that doesn't change the fact that critical research failures have happened in these videos.
E) No matter what, they lose. They say Star Wars wins and alienate all of the other viewer demographics; they say the other side wins and they risk alienating their core demographic.

Is it just me, or does the seleted Ep-I-Scene/New-Canon make Greedo too old? He seemed kinda young in Episode IV (and back in the day, in one of the "Tales"-stories, he was represented as a very young rodian, with Hans Solo being his first job... after he emberrased Greedo).
