This is a really stressful time in my life and your content gives me something to listen to and enjoy with no strings attached. I really hope your not being pulled into the drama of the other star wars youtubers.

If even a tenth of it is habitable, it could comfortably house many millions (whether the environmental systems can support that many is open to question, of course)

The one limiting factor is how large a hyperdrive can you build? (Multiple linked hyperdrives??)
Within that limitation, a asteroid could be used as the Base structure. Hollow it out and you've got a ready made three dimensional lattice to build and tunnel in.
[There's also heating an asteroid and inflating it using water tanks in the middle while spinning it, gives a nice hollow egg like shape]
And as a security measure the surface could even be left looking like it's natural state, as camouflage.
Anything hostile that doesn't actually see it hyperspace in could assume it's an uncharted rock.
Or if some facilities/projections are visible on the surface, that it's just a small outpost of miners on a big asteroid, and severely underestimate them.
But a asteroid ship could also be grown out of a settlement on the asteroid over time, expanding as they travel.
The entire ship doesn't have to be finished before they can start journeying, just the FTL systems and the passenger capacity.
It could even be built in secret, with all the work occurring inside the asteroid and equipment being ferried in on ships that appear to be there to collect materials. A cargo ship occasionally landing at a asteroid base and then leaving a while latter is not suspicious.
Then once ready everyone gets onboard and it buggers out of the system.
Building a space station from scratch requires building a frame first then adding in parts.
And you need a shipyard to build it at.
If you're in a bad neighbourhood that is a big target.

@@casbot71 To add an addenum to your comment about hyperdrives. Not only would they need multiple linked hyperdrives. But just due to the shear mass they would have to be a system of upper tier hyperdrives.(class 5?).Almost everything else you stated in your above comment is dead on as far as I can reckon.

And since Generation Tech is my favorite Star Wars Channel, I was SURE people who like this stuff here would also enjoy that other channel. I mean... I guess it makes sense because if everyone would do this the comments probably would be chaos. But still… :(

Were the Geonosians a hive mind? I know their language is sometimes called "Geonosian hive-mind". But to my knowledge, with the exception of the mind controlled ones seen in The Clone Wars, I don't think the common Geonosian was controlled directly by a higher mind.

@@GenerationTech Yeah but if I understood it correctly, that wasn't the norm. It was a queen was adapting to all the dead geonosians and the lack of living ones after the second invasion. I might have gotten it wrong, but I don't think the "common geonosian" had the worms in their brains. It might well be that in the presence of a queen she might create pheromones and stuff to affect drones even without the worms, and they might be used to some degree normally. But I don't think the normal drone out on the planet would have any direct link to the queen's mind

Coruscant's population is odd. Even a pretty conservative population density could quite easily be quadrillions (jowever many times they try to tell us it's a couple of trillion or less)
Even though Imperial warships are relative crew-intense, they're actually very sparsely populated. If the million or so on board were distributed through, say, a tenth of its volume, you would really struggle to bump into anyone by accident.

While it's a cool location, the population of Bespin must be pretty modest. Cloud city, large though it is at just over 16km, couldn't possibly house more than a few tens of millions at most. Unless you have a reason to go, or have a reason for a character to be from there, the chances of just bumping into someone from Bespin, or just happening to wind up there must be pretty low.
