Nope. You don’t get to abuse the people providing you with a service. Even my bus driver can chuck me off the bus if I become abusive. It’s not that complicated. Actions have consequences.

If individuals insist on insulting and threatening staff, they should be dealt with in some way. The NHS will not turn people away for their perceived political leanings of potential patients. If you get injured then that's one less person in the work force and if you didn't follow polices then you're not covered. Obviously if the patient is risk assessed and it's known that there is a danger to working with them, such as dementia or learning difficulties patients, then you'll be provided the needed training to make sure treatment is as safe as possible for both staff and patient.
Of course in emergencies this rule goes out the window for 99% of health workers and we put ourselves in danger to help the patients we care for and we often face disciplinaries because of this. Yes we should. NHS staff need way more protection than what we get now. We are abused verbally and physically on a daily basis, and are told by our employers and by our governing bodies that they will protect us. They don't. I have witnessed a patient verbally abuse a member of staff in a dialysis unit that I worked in approached by the manager and asked how we can make his experience in the NHS better, and that's a tame example compared to what some NHS workers are subjected to. It's an abject disgrace and NHS management, the government, and professional bodies are NOT protecting staff.

This train of thought is on a very dangerous path. Every human being should be entitled to health care. It is a very basic human right, and if we manage to lose this, then we have a bigger problem on our hands than these victims of agendas.
They are sick! They are in need of mental health (medical support) more than most of us right now!

@@JHJ-g7g equality is not a human right, nor is equity. In the case of health, you would look at articles 2-5 of the human rights act which are your personal rights. If you were to say universal healthcare is a right, then that is naturally infringing article 4 (slavery and forced labour) because that would be compelling others to provide said healthcare. And article 5 protects everyone’s liberty and freedom.

The role of a doctor and/or nurse is to heal, not to judge. And if we're going to exempt folk from treatment due to their perceptions and choices in how to impact that disposition - which by the way is rather capricious in the hypocrisy, since diversity and inclusivity are portrayed as being equally embraced across the board... does this then mean that those excluded are thus exempt from the taxes to be paid to thus support these institutions?
