As a retired truck driver of almost 50 years and 5 million miles you have a way of making me feel like I'm there with you . Thanks for that, enjoy it so much I started sharing it with the wife.
Yeah dude you've got a great way of capturing a story, the last video with the camera changes between outside the camper and inside, cinematic shots of focus points, pretty epic ✊️
I parked my 680 3 months ago. Ive spent 3 months cleaning an detailing it. With trucking the way it is and all the foreigners taking over I decided after 44 years to retire.. I am a retired teamster with 4.1 million accident free miles . Gonna have fifth wheel taken off stretch the frame a little and a box on it. A camper for weather like that. I have a Damon Escaper 42ft tag Motorcoach in the barn that we are going to be traveling in.
I think most normal people feel weird filming in public so definitely don’t worry about that! The video you get is incredible, especially the drone shots!
Yeah, I'd feel very awkward. I suppose the trick is to get their permission first and test the waters a bit. Be as respectful as possible. That is if you're filming someone else, like a meeting or something. Most people would probably be fine with it. There's always going to be an element of staged choreography about it.
Me also. I'm in Arizona and when it gets below 50 at night...I freeze. I feel so warm and toasty inside sitting on my bed with my laptop watching this and going along for the ride.
I've only recently started following you. I'm 70, a Londerner, in England. So never have driven through that kind of snow. I love watching adventurers, on their travels, in amazing places, mountain climbing, wild camping, hiking. You, wow, you are an intrepid traveler, driver. Fantastic. Also, you're natural, down to earth way of conducting you're movies. Thank you.
Going with you on this trip is fun! Im a 76 yo granny now living in a 314 sq ft Intershelter Dome in my daughter’s back yard in SE Alaska. Been here since 2015. Wanted to get an RV to live in, but health stuff stopped that. So now I follow guys and gals like you on the road. Really fun seeing Fairbanks and North Pole again! My husband and I were up there in 1973 where is mom was living. Then went to Nome & Juneau and back to Seattle home. You are something else, and you’re living life on your terms. But I like you explaining about what you have to be super prepared as much as possible, so I can relax and enjoy the trip. LOL You are so talented and skilled and every thing, from replacing windshield wiper arm (thats so not easy) to operating a camera & drone (?). Love the photos you take. Waiting for your next video, thanks and be safe. 🎉
Your comment about not filming yourself around people. I think that's something that makes your content so good. Everyone does that show and tell. I watch you because it feels like just the two of us on a fantastic journey. I'm sitting in Kent, England, but I'm with you. Stay safe my friend and keep rolling.
That’s pretty bad ass. There’s just something wicked sounding about being able to say, “I’ve been to the Arctic Ocean”. I honestly can’t say I’ve ever met anyone that I know of who has been to the Arctic Ocean.
I've lived all around the world...Central America, Southeast Asia, the Middle East. I've lived in 10 different U.S. states and I travelled and adventured a lot. Then I got trapped by a high-paying job in the most boring place you can imagine...Central Illinois. Nothing but cornfields and soul-crushing flatness and boredom. This is the first time I've seen a video from you and I immediately subscribed. Love your presentation style. This reminded me of when I lived in Colorado and I'd explore the snowy Western slopes of the Rockies, and when I lived in Central Washington State and would explore the Cascades in my '95 Bronco. The lesson I've learned the hard way is, money does not necessarily equal living...you, my friend, are living. Keep it up!
I was sitting here thinking "I swear I know this guy" "look up the Shoot Dangs, it's the band I'm in" Okay, that's why, lol. I've seen y'all play a dozen times or so.

Cold starting an engine does work in emergencies, but if you can heat your oil, the turbo, crank bearings, and crank will love you for it. Also, 4wd is worth the additional fuel used. Love your videos and stories! Great job!

Watching the difference between this and the living the van life trip at the same time is wild. One dude in a t shirt driving down the road with a cabin on his truck. Other in a super nice van in full arctic gear. Love it
As a Brazilian coping with humid 95 degree weather at the moment, these videos make my heart so happy!! Im obsessed with the Alaskan wilderness, would be my dream to go on these adventures one day tho im not sure im as brave as you, these roads look gnarly. We live up near the Yough, few hours north of the Gauley, love the adventure man. Picking up a truck camper next week- so much inspiration in your vids!
I'm fixated on that crack in your windshield :0). Hope it doesn't get worse in those weather conditions. Good luck on your journey, thanks for sharing this adventure.
My Dads 3 cousins, from Kansas, homesteaded in Alaska after WWII. In the 60s, 2 came back to Kansas, 1 stayed. 2 were north of Anchorage, 1 about 75 miles from Fairbanks. In 2021 we took a trip to Alaska. We should have done it 20 years ago. I loved the story's those men, their wives, and kids told. Adventure runs in the family. Thank God for DNA. 😉
One of the first vehicles I learned to drive was a 1970's (I think!) Silver F250 with dual gas tanks. We used to get it in trouble for not putting gas in, because we just switched tanks when one ran empty! I have always wanted to visit Alaska, and after watching this gorgeous video, I will!! Thank you also for showing all your precautionary equipment and clearly outlining what it takes to be out and about in that kind of environment! Post Covid, so many more people are venturing outdoors and sadly, some of them just aren't prepared for what can happen to you out there. Happy and safe trails to you!❄️🌨️🏔️🎿🛻
Thanks Timmy for keeping my wanderlust satisfied! As a child, we moved A LOT! 1st grade is the only grade i went to the same school for the full year!😂 In my early 20's i moved 10 times in a year and a half. I'm now home to stay besides a beach or mountain trip and i love it but i miss traveling so i jump in your truck and take road trips with you!!😂 HAPPY NEW YEAR!!🎉🎉
I love the snow too, the darkness, all of it!!!!! How rad is Alaska!!!! Moving to Alaska here in the next 6 months headed to McCarthy!!! Be safe and live it to the fullest ✨
Thank you so much for taking us to Santa's house. I very much enjoyed the ride along. For strange reason, I had to turn the heater up a couple of notches, felt a little cold.
I love your truck setup and your style of living on the road. It's not always about the destination, but more about the Journey!!! Keep up the great job my friend! 🙏🏻👍
Crazy driving into a storm. I've driven in some major storms down in the lower 48 but never planned. Hope you have nothing but good luck. Film whatever and however you like, never seen any bad footage from you Tim. Thanks for sharing.
You’re helping reignite my love for the winter season. The last few years Ive struggled really enjoying it, but i think mostly just due to lack of free time. I’ve always enjoyed winter adventures going ice fishing or hunting. Having all the correct gear, tools and machinery to get you there, plus being comfy and warm inside while the weather gives hell feels so nice. It all gives you a sense of freedom and independence. I live in Thunder Bay, Ontario Canada. We are very fortunate here to have the best of every season.
Or some stick twisted reason, you’re causing me to be excited for winter because winter in Maine is always an adventure yet. I tried to block this out because it is August and I just wanna go back on the boat. Your videos are allowing me to remember the excitement of winter, thanks man. I will definitely check out your band.
Timmy, it's great hearing your thoughts on filming with people around & your hopes and plans changing - just be you - love your channel! The drone shot of the plow throwing snow off the bridge was amazing!!!
Your drive is taking me back to my years in Michigan’s eastern upper peninsula. The roads look familiar. I don’t miss it! I also miss the smell of pine trees and lumber plants.
What a drive! Thanks for taking me somewhere I would never go on my own! 😊 Favorite road snack is Cracker Barrel's Coca-Cola Cake. 😆 Ahhhh! Sesame Chicken is my favorite Chinese! 😋
@TruckHouseLIfe for crunchy snacks to eat I have a favorite potato chip brand and it is Miss Vickies. There are several flavors and all of them are very good. Good road snacks.
It looks so cozy in there. I wouldn’t want to come out. I’ve been a trucker in the UK and Europe for 20 years and I’ve always loved the sound of diesel heaters on truck stops in the middle of nowhere on a freezing winter night.. 😌
I never throw this term around, but you sir, are a badass! Also I totally understand the disingenuous performance feeling that would come with filming yourself in front of others. I wouldn't be able to do it. Takes a certain kind of person to be able to do it authentically.
Merry Christmas Timmy!!!🎄✨🦌🎁 We have loved watching the cabin build, and we also love watching your adventures with the truck house. Don't feel guilty...your content rocks!! Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
Man, it's so awesome to see the way you capture the driving and talk through the trip. Whats super crazy is seeing the Richardson exit I take to get on home every day in a YT video lol! Took the fam up to Fairbanks & back right before Christmas- I need to get a 350 like yours to eat up those roads for next time!
That build with the trailer is so badass. I've watched since you built it. But I can say that I think you have one of the coolest truck-camper-overlander set up of anyone. The wood-burning stove is the best touch on the camper IMO. Enjoyed the video and happy new year duder.
Bro I love watching you're video adventure. Also I love you're truck house. it looks very comfortable. I'm surprised you like steam rice or white rice. Same here. I eat rice every day.
As a retired truck driver of almost 50 years and 5 million miles you have a way of making me feel like I'm there with you . Thanks for that, enjoy it so much I started sharing it with the wife.

I appreciate the work you put into these types of videos they cannot be cheap. Such as just buying supplies, propane, and diesel.

I never throw this term around, but you sir, are a badass! Also I totally understand the disingenuous performance feeling that would come with filming yourself in front of others. I wouldn't be able to do it. Takes a certain kind of person to be able to do it authentically.
Thanks haha
Merry Christmas Timmy!!!🎄✨🦌🎁 We have loved watching the cabin build, and we also love watching your adventures with the truck house. Don't feel guilty...your content rocks!! Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
Merry Christmas Susan!
@@TruckHouseLife thankyou!☃️
I’m back for the 2,000 mile drive! I am so happy to have found your channel today. I’m really enjoying the Wintery weather and your content ❄️🌬️☃️
Welcome aboard Crystal!
100% agree with the public filming explanation. I couldn’t have explained it better!
I love how he makes the drone edits, especially the ones of his truck
Really good video. The cinematography and editing were excellent. Also gave us a fun lesson about Alaska. Keep up the great work!
Thank you! Will do!
I absolutely love your videos and how cozy it’s inside of your lil cabin on wheels. I’d eventually build something like that too. Good job
I can't get enough of these videos I feel I'm traveling
Awsome vid. Great to watch from a warm bed with a cup of coffee
Love your commentary and your video style. You are a true Alaskan
thank u
I personally was enjoying the new cabin build videos.
Right on! Well I have a couple of good ones coming up!
That build with the trailer is so badass. I've watched since you built it. But I can say that I think you have one of the coolest truck-camper-overlander set up of anyone. The wood-burning stove is the best touch on the camper IMO. Enjoyed the video and happy new year duder.
Thanks Carl:)
Awesome video. Love your content! Currently binging lol
Keep being yourself brother. My family watches you for you… Just continue being the best YOU and you’ll never fail. Safe travels bro.
This is so wonderful! Thank you! You do a great job of explaining how to travel in Alaska. Amazing!!!!!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
В России я живу в таком же заснеженном краю)природа очень похожа.
Bro I love watching you're video adventure. Also I love you're truck house. it looks very comfortable. I'm surprised you like steam rice or white rice. Same here. I eat rice every day.
Pretzels, Hershey’s cookies, and cream 😊 favorite snack for a road trip
Living the dream.
Sesame chicken looked on point!
This is amazing! But the crack in your windshield kept making my eye twitch lol
This is now my favorite UA-cam channel!! Thank you for posting your videos. It’s a breath of fresh air to watch.
Really enjoying your channel. Finally a reality show worth watching - not toxic like many others
This truck is just so beautiful - I can’t get enough.
