Timmy, I'm in my mid 50's & because of medical issues I likely will not get to experience Alaska for myself. I'm so thankful that you share your journey through life which allows me in a way to experience the beauty & wonderment of Alaska too. Thank you for all of it! 💜🙂
I never get tired of seeing the BEAUTY and the RAW WILDERNESS of Alaska. Watching you accomplish your goals, dreams, and adventures is almost like experiencing them myself. As you probably know, there are a lot of old people with health issues that will never be able to experience Alaska the way that you do, but we can watch you with a smile on our face, joy in our heart, and sometimes, edge of the seat experiences watching you as you fulfill your goals and challenges. Thank you for allowing us to experience all those with you. Thank you to your parents for raising such and amazing, talented, and caring young man that has a heart of gold.
I lived in Anchorage when Chris was found. There was alot of news on his passing. Me and my boys were very serious into mounteering and climbing and all around survival. We did not understand that he did. After all these years knowing alot more i respect his drive but still the wilderness is no joke and requires alot of knowledge. Going out with almost nothing and hoping to survive is not wise.
Timmy, just wanted to say. Your videos let me explore places I dream to go. It really helps because life is stressful with Work, life struggles, loneliness, money.... all of it leaves my mind when I'm watching one of your videos, full chilled and pretending I'm in the wilderness. The thought of just selling everything, burning everything and living free sounds incredible. Thank you for all the videos and the effort you put in my friend.
@@iansteward4708 I'm from the UK, living in London. It's funny, alot of us feel the same way as we do but yet nothing changes and people get more divided with all the nonsense in the world.
Hey Timmy...old farmer here. Instead of cutting off that jack you could get a new one just like it and pull them both apart and put the new pieces into your square tube. New jack no welding!!
Timmy... you are a man after my own heart. I love the wilderness. watching you play the mandolin reminded me of my friends in Yosemite. we often had music night at my friends cabin. I played a djembe. I lived and worked 25 years in Yosemite. My health is gone and I live in Arizona now. I miss those days in Yosemite. Thanks for taking us along.
Timmy, you are not like that kid. You know the risks, you take plenty of precautions, have plan B, C, etc. This boy was an idealist-possibly someone with mental illness-we will never know. But, burning money you may need for food and supplies, not becoming more familiar with the area and conditions-that’s not you at all. That is almost a suicide mission. Those who have died trying to get to the bus had romanticized the ‘adventure’ and were so determined to get to the bus they drowned in the river. Many others have had to be rescued costing thousands. That boy was no one to idolize. He was just someone too young to realize he did not have the skills or experience to back up his wilderness dream-until it was too late.
I was just up in Alaska last week !!!!Such a beautiful place and when I pulled over on the side of the road I had a guy stop by my vehicle to make sure I was okay 👍🏻. People are so kind and friendly. Love all your videos and one of the main reasons I decided to make the trek up was because of Tim’s videos. Thanks.
❤ Soothing and relaxing to watch after a difficult work shift here. Thanks Timmy🙏🏻 I liked the quiet ride along in the truck too listening to snippets of the podcast with you. It's all the little things that add up to a great video, having a meal, lighting the truck fire, making a coffee. Lots of different bits going on. Well, I know you're back home, ..stay cosy ☕ 🛻
There’s something about a bunch of evergreen trees with. Snow on them. So peaceful. Wolves sure are smart. Thank you for this journey. To be able to see the original site was amazing. You can never fully understand why some people want to be in such isolation, but that is their decision. As you said, he was as prepared as he wanted to be.
Timmy I am watching your UA-cam video into the wild I think that you're probably one of the closest replica of Chris that I would ever be able to see I could imagine you being that young man that lost his life, you are by far more cautious and careful in your adventure and travels as Chris ever was thank you for that I'm 73 years old I live in Wisconsin but I enjoy every one of your videos God bless you and stay safe. 💕🤘
Watching you experience Alaska alone makes me wish. I live in a country where it never snows. I really thank you for letting me experience winter through the computer screen. Wishing you and everyone always happy and healthy
So cool to finally see the place where Chris spent so many months, and in winter, more or less the way it was when he got there, although it was spring as I recall. Read the book, watched the movie, tried to imagine the whole thing. And I don't think he was crazy, just a beautiful dreamer who was more courageous than most of us, he lived the dream. Yes, he lost his life, but he gained so much more in experiencing the wild, something city dwellers just don't understand. Current society is so wrapped up in safety that a lot are dead inside. Remember, rather die on your own 2 feet than live on your knees.
Be safe driving!…man your vids remind of my life 20 years ago in Colorado! I miss the snowblind nights after driving a pass in whiteouts…putting the bright lights on only made the snowblind worse! So much fun! 🎉
Thank you, Timmy, for the wonderful adventures and gorgeous scenery. I am an old Florida girl who can't take the cold, not to mention a spinal cord injury that has left me without the use of my legs, so being able to experience it through you is fantastic! Stay safe and happy. Many blessings.. 💖✨️🙏✨️💖
As always, your videos are super entertaining and full of beautiful scenery. It makes my day to see all that snowy expanse and I love that you never take it for granted. Be safe, Timmy! Can’t wait to see what happened in the Arctic Circle drive! Whether you made it or not, it’s the journey that satisfies the soul ❤
I love this channel, this should be shown in elementary school to kids, it's a down to earth wholesome show that will be embedded in the minds of young children, I think it would be educational and healthy for the youth of today!! Thanks for another amazing journey timmy! I can't wait to see the next one!
Fantastic video as usual!....i just recently came across your channel about 2 months ago and became instantly hooked...I even got my wife loving your channel as well. Thank you for all you do to create some awesome content for all us viewers!! can't wait to see your next adventure! stay safe brother!
Dude, big puppy, at least you’re not alone. 😂 There is something special about being in nature with no one around, hard to put into words. Good for the soul.
Hi Timmy, Thank you for that awesome adventure with all of us. Because of this video adventure, I'm stopping by a book store tomorrow to buy a copy of "Into the Wild".
I have the most respect for the effort and passion that goes into making these videos. Hat's off to you dude! I've experienced -45C/-49F temperature myself. I don't think anyone who hasn't experienced even trying to breathe in that kind of cold understands the insane challenge of messing with trailer hitches, jacks, etc., while filming it all at the same time! You're truly hardcore dude! I think you must have Swedish genes 😆
awesome gift bro. lovely drawing and great to see you inspire youngsters and you are what I consider a true influencer. No bs, just real deal. keep up the great channel content Timmy. You absolutely rock and roll. Love your vids. Regards, George - Cape Town South Africa
Thanks! As mentioned this is for you. I can't thank you enough for what you do to show us that can't do. Living thru sorta thing. Sorry it's not much but I can promise you that I will be steady. Maybe not on every video. I was going to say I will on the good ones. WTF they are all good. Hopefully it's enough for a coffee and get the fuel neck wet and don't expect to have any change left. For all I know you may have to kick in some of your money if you want a large coffee 😂👍👍👍
Man that was an awesome video. So inspiring to see you get out for a rad adventure like that despite the brutal cold. My wife and I really look forward to your videos, keep up the awesome work!
Timmy, never a boring video. Thanks for taking us with you on an amazing adventure! That was gorgeous but my heart sank when you broke through the ice. Glad you didn’t stay out longer and the sled teams were an added bonus.
A lot of people speculate why Chris took off...into the wild. He simply had an adventurous soul. One that couldnt be contained. He had the courage to do what a lot of people won't. Rest in peace Alexander Supertramp.
Looks like a GREAT time is being had by all!! So glad you all are following the rule for the most part that there is safety in numbers! Glad you got your sled fixed and got to have a blast!!
I could have sworn they airlifted that out 3 years ago ( They did, and the bus is being restored/ preserved in fairbanks at the museum of north alaska)
It’s supposed to be at a museum. Heard government airlifted out the rotting thing out due to the deaths of other unprepared, idealistic people doing a kind of pilgrimage.
This trip you shared has made me realize life in a whole new way I have never heard about this story.. keep doing videos like this you never know who is watching and what we are going through and how helpful you actually are for us by just exploring and explaining your trips
As someone who is stuck here in the Hot and Rainy Queensland Ausrtralia, I look forward to your videos to get a glimpse of the opposite end of the temperature spectrum. love your vids mate!
Tim did you know that wolves and Ravens work together to get food and they also take care of the wolves Young! The Ravens do while the pack hunts. Now that blows my mind!😮
“Oh it’s ONLY -40 maybe I should put a jacket on”!! I can’t imagine being in that cold. Do you ever worry about your belongings when you leave the truck unattended?
❤ my childhood home… I miss it so very much and your videos make me smile. The Late 60’s through the late 90’s was a great time to experience Alaska from a kids/young adult perspective. Seeing the solitude and great expanse of what you film restores so many emotions of my own adventures. You know how lucky you are being there, but thank you for sharing. The East coast is ok but not the same as “home”. Can’t wait for more of your videos.
It would be better if he was paid by another platform that let him show the real stuff…unlike UA-cam the Feds back door into all things…yet here I am on it too..as are you..and as is He…🤢🤮
I especially like how his apology was super quick, convenient and sounded rehearsed. Truck House Life turning into a real production now. And then he forces us to listen to his silly podcasts.
43:00 Out there in the middle of nowhere and you come across a wolf's paw that's bigger than your hand--I don't think I'm built for that kind of thing, Timmy. Which is why I watch you lol
I dunno how to feel bout this.. Chris didn't like the way of world. And now his things are on display. And now they are asking for money 🤑. I dont think he would agree to all this. He did burn his money and donated the rest . But nice vlog
This was one of your best. Because you enable close caption, I was able to follow very well with the special audio you played. I realized today what makes your videos so very special, it comes from the heart. The other special quality you make someone watching feel as thought they are right with you. Epically looking at this on a big screen. I felt as if I were riding in the cab of the truck next to you and we were having a conversation. You are the tour guide and I am the tourist. I was dying to see the small bike work and you may have that on another video. I would almost kill to be along on some of these trips. I’m an excellent cook, as I have cooked all my life. Tim thank you for making all this possible for thousands of people and many like me who are older and live alone. I have thought of having an RV just to travel around in at my pleasure and make it my home. There isn’t a place in the US that I wouldn’t have medical attention as I am a Vet. I have to set up a pay-pal account and I should have that complete by Monday or before. One last thought, I was stationed at Minot, ND 50 miles from the Cadian border for close to 2 years, way back when. Minot was a SAC base and I fell in love with the winter there. Snowmobiling was awesome, I now live in VA at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains. If you know of the TV program The Walton’s, I live 30 minutes from that mountain. It was here that I learned to snowboard and did try skis but skis where not for me. At almost 75 I continue to live a full life. I haven’t tried snowboarding in a long time. Again, thank you for being so kind and loving.
Because of this episode i only learned of Chris and immediately went to prime and rented it. I was glued to the screen. His passion and drive is so inspiring. He was a magical being with beautiful energy and people gravitated towards him and i completely understand that because i have very similar experiences. But an amazing show and poor guy. To go out that way. Made me cry when Mr. Franz wanted to adopt him.. ❤
I just love your videos. You make me feel like I am right there on the adventures with you. I am 70 and will most likely never get to see Alaska, so thanks for taking me along through your videos! 😊
That's how it is here in Maine, too. I've been stuck a few times and without fail, someone always comes to help. I love that. 🖤 Love your channel, Timmy! So glad I found it.
Thanks for all your videos. We have a very large group at The Villages retirement community in Fl that watches you and discusses your adventures. I envy your fearlessness. How do you stay so calm? Natalie😊
Okay I don't often laugh out loud watching a great video like this. But that frozen pizza you forgot about in the wood box had me on the floor. Anyway always enjoy what you are doing Tim. Be safe..
-60 crazy. It got to -25 in Colorado, no wind chill. That year I think, if I remember, it was colder in 2 places in CO, than any other places on earth or it was even, for that day. Hard to remember and I LOVED IT! Blizzard, 2 ft snow, base of rockies, LOVED IT! My multiple silverados plowed through but -60? Co has the same kind of people or did when I left. Keep truckin bro!
Thanks for taking me on another adventure went to Alaska two years ago for a wedding only had two weeks wasn’t enough time have to go back and see more . Thanks for making these beautiful videos makes me feel like a kid again
Awesome video as always Timmy. You always show the most incredible and inspiring places in Alaska. Thanks for letting us ride along with you on your adventures.
Thanks Timmy for that adventure! I never heard the story and I appreciate that you've brought it to my attention. I likely will never make it to Alaska as I'm in my late 60''s now. But I've always had an adventurous heart chained by responsibilities. So thanks so much for showing me what is out there and how beautiful it is. It's great to sit here in my cozy space and watch! You're such a cool dude :D
Hey Timmy, thanks for all your videos! Even though I’ve never been to Alaska I still love the Alaskan wilderness you show us in your videos. Good job editing them all. Gotta take several hours per video to get them as good as you do. Keep up the good the good work!!
Hi Timmy I enjoy your channel! Just an observation try putting your fan on the floor blowing the cold floor air into the warm upper air. That will draw the warm air down to your feet. happy trucking. A trick I learned heating my house with a wood stove. I used to blow the warm air to the cold part of the house. I found when I blew the cold air to the stove my house was much warmer. give her a try and see your results.
Mar 30, 12 C outside, in my little computer room in my house in Dudley, Midlands UK. And Tim finishes with "Be Chill" in -40 C. Nutter (and I love it) lol!
I remember reading to book when it came out. I love camping and used to read a lot about camping Alaska. I am an Athabaskan from Tyonek. A few years ago I decided to quit my job. I took money out of my bank and hit the road, just driving. Back during my high school days I played basketball and we traveled all over the state. I had always dreamed of going back to places I played ball at, to revisit my glory days. Now I'm doing research, hoping to find the best mode of transportation and a way to live my final days of retirement in Alaska. I keep coming back to watch your videos. I have an Ford F700 with a 20 ft flatbed I bought 2015 as the base of my build. Hope to catch you on the road. My build begins this summer, I've already got a small RV woodstove, a diesel heater and generator I salvaged from an old rv.
Timmy love watching your adventures - thank you. I am not totally getting the reverence of folks for the bus though - the book and movie was very good, but now even a “replica bus”, interesting…
Timmy - The sound of that Powerstroke diesel turbo is ALMOST as cool (super rad) as you and your content. Thanks for all your hard work to tirelessly make your videos for us and taking us along with you on your journeys. Safe travels, always.
You could maybe relocate your stairs for the cabin. Where they are, if you slip or fall, your headed into sharp corners of that diamond truck box. Stay safe!
Timmy this is Timmy, this was an amazing video to see, you bring the spirit of you and Alaska to us that have not experienced such great life altering moments. You’re so popular because of the amazing film you continue to bring. So freakin cool I’ll continue to watch and donate to the cause.
Great Adventure Timmy! In my 30 years of living in AK, when I break thru the ice I immediately immerse my self in snow as the snow is so dry it will wick out the moisture, then you just brush off the snow/ice, except for down where your house is! I don't know how good those Steigers repel the water but you seemed fine even @-40!
Thank you for taking us along. I watched the movie a number of years ago so it was very interesting to see the area that Chris lived in. Looking forward to your next adventure. Stay safe.
Always good to ponder the Chris McCandless story. Sad that he had such a slow, painful death. No one deserves that, even if they are kind of reckless. Glad you are always well prepared for adventures, Timmy. Wolf faking injury story was good, too.

Quite a feat that the old bus made it that far into the wilderness back in the day!

The bus's engine was removed and it was pulled or pushed by a caterpillar tractor.

Love the wilderness. Wish I was young again to try it myself. Since I'm not, I enjoy it through your videos. Be safe and keep enjoying life.
That was pretty shady that all that footage was blurry…
I love your channel but that kinda sucked
Yeah kinda sad and sketch 🧐
Dafuq yall mean shady and sketch?
Museum tour was a waste of time.
So sad!! Thank you for paying tribute to this young man.
I never get tired of seeing the views of Alaska! Thank you for sharing.
Into The Wild tugs at my heart strings, every time. Thank you for sharing the (your) adventure!
Thanks for all your videos. We have a very large group at The Villages retirement community in Fl that watches you and discusses your adventures. I envy your fearlessness. How do you stay so calm? Natalie😊
That’s awesome Natalie! Glad you enjoyed them!
Thanks for taking us out there Timmy. Made me emotional. Read the book and seen the movie so many times.
Thanks!
Thx for all your amazing & beautiful videos Timmy! Stunning!!!
What a wonderful video in gorgeous country. So happy to see a video where the sun is shining. 😊
What a beautiful gift and the fact that it was made by hand makes it even more special. How rewarding!
Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for showing me how beautiful Alaska is.
Hey Timmy, thanks for all your videos! Even though I’ve never been to Alaska I still love the Alaskan wilderness you show us in your videos. Good job editing them all. Gotta take several hours per video to get them as good as you do. Keep up the good the good work!!
Very cool Timmy. Thank you for bringing us along on your adventures. Keep the videos coming. Safe travels.
That small of a space, you probably wouldn't notice either way.
Ahh. Been looking forward to this for the last 13hrs of my day ! Well earned and time to tuck in, get stuck in. Favorite time of the week !
Great video Tim and thanks for the adventure. Always look forward to seeing a new video from you. Stay safe and warm. Love from Ohio
Timmy love watching your adventures - thank you. I am not totally getting the reverence of folks for the bus though - the book and movie was very good, but now even a “replica bus”, interesting…
I read the story on Google and am better prepared to get into Timmy's vid.
Great Video, Stay safe, Thanks for the ride along.
Timmy - The sound of that Powerstroke diesel turbo is ALMOST as cool (super rad) as you and your content. Thanks for all your hard work to tirelessly make your videos for us and taking us along with you on your journeys. Safe travels, always.
I find just looking at the beautiful scenery & listening to the music so relaxing, thank you. 😍🎵🏔️
You could maybe relocate your stairs for the cabin. Where they are, if you slip or fall, your headed into sharp corners of that diamond truck box. Stay safe!
Excellent video. I would have never seen the site otherwise. Thank you!
Timmy this is Timmy, this was an amazing video to see, you bring the spirit of you and Alaska to us that have not experienced such great life altering moments. You’re so popular because of the amazing film you continue to bring. So freakin cool I’ll continue to watch and donate to the cause.
Thanks for taking us along on another awesome adventure, love your stories.
These episodes fly right by, thanks for sharing the journey!
Stay safe.
I will definitely come back to watch this adventure be safe.
That was excellent Timmy. Last summer on vacation to ur beautiful state we drove right past Stampede Rd on way to Fairbanks. 🤙🏼
Hey Timmy. I'm from Minnesota and I love your winter adventures the best!!!
Glad your back, your content style is really fun to watch - Dave
Always good to ponder the Chris McCandless story. Sad that he had such a slow, painful death. No one deserves that, even if they are kind of reckless. Glad you are always well prepared for adventures, Timmy. Wolf faking injury story was good, too.
