Honestly after two years of owning the 2018 the aluminum took a beating but the screen still survived and looks brand new, that’s impressive, despite the fact the case might had been warped also that’s all I care about, way better than glass backed and stainless steel iPhones, they will be way beyond scuffed already

Nikz World Yes. Mine fell from the bed inside a school portfolio, can’t really explain. But the corner wasn’t protected and the cardboard portfolio absorbed a little of the impact. The corner got a big dent and the screen elevated a bit due to that (but didn’t break). Months later, it fell from a desk. Another corner got a dent so big, that the aluminium folded and kind of formed a spike that stung the glass and shattered it. The glass itself is great, like you saw in the video, but the body is a disaster. Hardware wise, not worth the money. I love love love my iPad, but it is what it is. I have the 12.9”.
I'm here to traumatize myself to be extra careful with my soon to have Ipad pro...

Please dont buy it, apple poorly placed a microphone on the middle edge and the wireless apple pencil port. Basically, any pressure can bend it and shatter it. Check that video out on Jerry rig everything

This actually makes me feel a fair bit better about the durability prospects of my iPad Pro. I baby that slab of 12.9” glass like it’d break if I looked at it wrong - I’m really surprised it didn’t shatter until it was actually hurled at the ground.

For me the most worthy review is from JerryRigsEverything where You can clearly see the "integrity" of whole device. This definetely convinced me to stay with my iPad. Or wait for next BendGate and Apple to do something with it because there's clearly something wrong with materials used for production.

The main reason why this iPad didn’t do too hot was because it’s heavy so the momentum is greater leading to a rough fall. The design is very nice though

@@PlutoDoofus Those were my thoughts exactly. Many audio editors use wired headphones because they simply sound A: Better, and B: Authentic. There isn't any interference with the music (perhaps Bluetooth interference). To not include a Headphone Jack just knocked off that entire use for the device. Apple advertises the iPad as a device to replace a PC, but it can't even do something as simple as this? It's genuinely ridiculous. I was so pumped about USB-C, but no headphone jack ruined it completely.

The reason the black increased on the fourth drop is because once you damage a certain amount of pixels they start to bleed, and they start killing off more pixels. Not because of the drop itself. That’s the one downfall to an ultra retina display

Right before I viewed this video, I was at the Apple website where - I found that there were NO protective cases for this generation of the iPad Pro. A similar test was done by Everything Apple Pro. These new iPads are pretty easy to damage. Future buyers of the new iPad Pro should first make sure they can provide some kind of drop and bend protection for it.

The original iPad is still the toughest IMO, I threw that down my basement stairs several times onto the concrete floor, only shattered the screen, then threw it like a frizbee at a tree several times until the glass started peeling off and the digitizer didn't work, but it still had an image on the display, then threw it in a river and waited an hour before pulling it out, let it dry, charged it up and it still turned on.
Travis Morancie like a iPhone 4. Thew it out my window in the bird bath on purpose and cracked the screen and made 2 big gaping holes in the back exposing the battery connector. Bent slightly the metal around the side in and blew up the headphone jack making it sound distorted in one ear and it still works fine. Memory os full up and stuck on iOS 5.1.1
i know my mom had a old ipad and one summer me and her and my grandma and grandpa took a trip and we came home from the trip we drop them and my mom ipad was sitting on a suitcase for a second so we could move something to get the key to their house and he stove it to the driveway it was acting up for a while then her mom bought who a new one since her husband drop and made it stop working so we left it alone for a couple of year and i just found and charge it up and been working fine for past weeks were before it was giving the green screen of death and the screen was turning purple and all these line where on the screen and now they are gone
