Wow... I am genuinely shocked that it didn't crumble in the bend test, putting aside the rest of the features of this tablet, that alone demands a great deal of respect.
I just got the tab 7 Fe for $199 with a trade in of a old free Samsung tablet. This tablet is such a beast I know that S8 ultra is just amazing. Of course I got the Wi-Fi version with the good processor seeing as how there's like two or three different variants
I was waiting for the bend test and how this ultra-thin piece of tech will survive considering how large it is

As a first time watcher (and new subscriber) I was not ready when you snapped the pen first thing. I held my breath and mouth hanging open when you scratched the sides and the back with the razor. I purchased one of these about 6 months ago and I love it... I was concerned about possibly cracking the glass as the S7+ that I had before this one cracked very easily... But after seeing this abuse test I am more confident of it's durability now...

I’m still relatively new to this channel, so seeing him snap the S-pen in half like that gave me a series of mild heart attacks. I’m slowly getting used to the blatant abuse of costly technology, however, and this is a great watch!

Seeing as how that didn't snap - which i wasnt expecting - i feel like we're due a teardown! Not necessarily for the repairability aspect of it which I'm willing to bet is quite poor but more so to see why and how it actually managed to keep itself together

The fact Samsung engineers can make something less then 1 cm in thickness and yet 15 inches in diameter this durable insane. I can imagine over 100 lbs of bending force and yet it stayed straight as an arrow. Impressive

Not only did it impressively survive the bend test, it even fought back against Jerry during it, something never seen or thought about before. All I can say is that I'm very proud of being the owner of a Samsung device :)

Im getting this tablet in a bit, durability isn’t usually all that important to me since I’m always very careful, but wow that’s actually quite impressive! I didn’t expect it to be that difficult to snap, sure I expected it to withstand some pressure but that much? That’s really reassuring since it seems kinda fragile
Jerry made me lose part of my soul that was hanging on to a thread when he scratched, disassembled and analyzed the tablet. I'm getting one this month and this video has made want to take even extra good care of it. Regardless this video was awesome. New subscriber

I was watching this video on my Tab S8 Ultra and words can't describe the anxiety I was feeling when it came to the bend test. I'm glad that I'm not suffering from buyers remorse as this tablet is amazing!

Zach was absolutely determined to snap this tablet in half! Me and my tab S7Fe were watching absolutely scared. Glad to see this tab not only survive but also biting back.

Man it's crazy how this thing didn't snap in half. Was also expecting it to split apart. I guess it has something to do with how wide it is but man, that was unexpected.
Actually making the tablet wider makes it more snapable as you can apply greater torque plus you get a better grip to apply that torque!
They surely added strong metal structure to hold the tablet just like their phones, they don't cheap out like apple does.
@@nimitkhandelwal1547 yes, but it technically makes it more durable for Jerry's specific bend test as he's only able to place the fulcrum as far as his thumbs can reach. the tablet is so wide that his thumbs are relatively close to the edge than the center. I would like to see him push in the center with the sides locked in place, to see whether his strength alone can break it.

Man first time to watch this chanel and didn't expect the content at all, my anxiety started to kick in when he started breaking the Spen, scratching the screen until the bend test and I started to laugh at it when I got to read the comments. The humor here was funny as well. 🤣🤣🤣

@@ankursmooth adhesive won't help in the bend test if the device is thin since there's not much to adhere to here.. It's definitely got metal supports inside.
@Xyran Kashyap no I'm not defending apple, don't particularly use it. I just find it irritating now, everytime I visit a comment section people are always fighting over which one is better "Samsung vs Apple" or "Apple VS Android" in general. Each has its own pros and cons.
The sentence: "you can expand the Memory by up to a Terabyte in the form of a (Micro) SD-Card" would have blown minds 10 years ago. It is still unbelievable.
You cant expand any other tablet to 1TB external. Everyone want to cash in on the cloud storage subscriptions.

I came upon your podcast by scrolling thru UA-cam and I seen the headline on the Samsung Tab S8 Ultra. So I watched and I said to myself 'what the...'. However, it did get my ATTENTION so I did press the SUBSCRIBE button. Cannot wait to see more. Also, GREAT artwork of the dinosaur and volcano.
Watching from Kenya... Damn! You sure did struggle to recreate a foldable! This is the kind of stuff that makes me confident in buying gadgets out here. My only worry being they may not be of the same quality as in this video. A great one I must add. 👍
I've owned this tablet for a month and it is incredible. Absolutely love it. So light, feels so fragile. Glad to see Zach put it through its paces.
I've had mine since the release date as well. I love it. I was irritated that it didn't come with a charging block, especially since it supports higher amperage charging. I got the higher amperage block and supporting cable, it goes from 0-100% in ~90min.
The finger print scanner is truly amazing. It will scan even dirty fingers.

One aspect of durability that I think you miss in these tablets is the pen. I bought one of these 6 months ago and the pen tip has already broken twice. The first time I could replace it, but the second time it broke so deeply in the pen that it couldn't be removed and the entire pen had to be replaced, which cost me $70
MKBHD had warned not to get this Galaxy Tab S8 in Zack's hands!
