It was so fascinating to see how it held itself together on not one, not two, but multiple bend tests.... It's like Jerry after losing a bit of skin, which looked painful BTW, he kind of took it personally. And the tab was like, " Nah man, not today" XD

Seeing as how that didn't snap - which i wasnt expecting - i feel like we're due a teardown! Not necessarily for the repairability aspect of it which I'm willing to bet is quite poor but more so to see why and how it actually managed to keep itself together

I think samsung hasn't failed a single bend test since the whole iphone 6 bend gate fiasco. The note 3 didn't bent at all.

I was watching this video on my Tab S8 Ultra and words can't describe the anxiety I was feeling when it came to the bend test. I'm glad that I'm not suffering from buyers remorse as this tablet is amazing!

I just got the tab 7 Fe for $199 with a trade in of a old free Samsung tablet. This tablet is such a beast I know that S8 ultra is just amazing. Of course I got the Wi-Fi version with the good processor seeing as how there's like two or three different variants
I’m still relatively new to this channel, so seeing him snap the S-pen in half like that gave me a series of mild heart attacks. I’m slowly getting used to the blatant abuse of costly technology, however, and this is a great watch!

Not only did it impressively survive the bend test, it even fought back against Jerry during it, something never seen or thought about before. All I can say is that I'm very proud of being the owner of a Samsung device :)

The fact Samsung engineers can make something less then 1 cm in thickness and yet 15 inches in diameter this durable insane. I can imagine over 100 lbs of bending force and yet it stayed straight as an arrow. Impressive

I've owned this tablet for a month and it is incredible. Absolutely love it. So light, feels so fragile. Glad to see Zach put it through its paces.
I've had mine since the release date as well. I love it. I was irritated that it didn't come with a charging block, especially since it supports higher amperage charging. I got the higher amperage block and supporting cable, it goes from 0-100% in ~90min.
The finger print scanner is truly amazing. It will scan even dirty fingers.

Man it's crazy how this thing didn't snap in half. Was also expecting it to split apart. I guess it has something to do with how wide it is but man, that was unexpected.
Actually making the tablet wider makes it more snapable as you can apply greater torque plus you get a better grip to apply that torque!
They surely added strong metal structure to hold the tablet just like their phones, they don't cheap out like apple does.
@@nimitkhandelwal1547 yes, but it technically makes it more durable for Jerry's specific bend test as he's only able to place the fulcrum as far as his thumbs can reach. the tablet is so wide that his thumbs are relatively close to the edge than the center. I would like to see him push in the center with the sides locked in place, to see whether his strength alone can break it.

@@ankursmooth adhesive won't help in the bend test if the device is thin since there's not much to adhere to here.. It's definitely got metal supports inside.

For a moment, I forgot I was watching a JerryRigEverything video and I was admiring the tablet. When he snapped the S-pen into two at 3:02, I snapped back into reality and prepared myself to endure what was about to happen to that beauty.

Im getting this tablet in a bit, durability isn’t usually all that important to me since I’m always very careful, but wow that’s actually quite impressive! I didn’t expect it to be that difficult to snap, sure I expected it to withstand some pressure but that much? That’s really reassuring since it seems kinda fragile

The metal back and the battery covering a large surface area might have helped in preventing the bending of this large tablet

@@pijen it's definitely something inside instead of the exterior metal. The previous ipads that snapped were also made of metal. And while betteries are retty solid, this device is way too thin to have a battery thick enough to provide structural support of this level at the size.

However, i would lie if i said i expected it to pass the bending test. Im mesmerised abt the fact that it didnt snap in half being this thin and this large. I'm not surprised by this outcome at all. I've had it since launch and have been using it with a high clamping force holder designed for musicians, and it doesn't even faze it. The Ultra just laughs back at it, like "Is that all you got?". It's a beast of a tablet.
I purchased one of these about 6 months ago and I love it... I was concerned about possibly cracking the glass as the S7+ that I had before this one cracked very easily... But after seeing this abuse test I am more confident of it's durability now...
