I was shocked at how crazy durable the iPhone XR was, even survive direct impacts to the front glass from 6.5 FT high. Much more durable than the iPhone XS that broken with only five drops. Ultimately, the glass never shattered on me after 15 drops even. It was actually the volume button the broke before the glass in the drop test, which was a real surprise! - Наука та технологія

I dropped mine once and cracked the entire thing

I love how my friends day old XR dropped not even 1ft with a case on it, did a spider web crack from the corner across the back?!! HOW DID THIS ONE SURVIVE
Just really lucky. The only thing that you can take away from this is that these phones are built well and give you a decent chance of survival from a fall or dunking in water. He needed to change surfaces and textures on surfaces and use accidental, uncontrolled drops. Would guess that a hit on the edge of the bezel bending it and hitting the glass would shatter it often.
Mackenzie Mine took a corner hit from about 6 ft and only cracked a little bit. But my last phone took a 3ft drop and shattered

My thought is that the aluminum sides is giving the phone better shock absorption verses the stainless steel of the Xs. Just a thought 🤓🧐🤔

Uh the surprising part is aluminum is better than stainless apparently when it comes to dropping and absorbing the damage and not crack the glass.

I have a case that shows the red on my XR and stuff and I have a double screen protector! I was running down my friends stairs and it fell down taking so much impact, hitting every stair super hard, ran to get my phone....
No cracks, scuffs, bruises, shatters, or scratches
