Same. I was thinking specifically of cooking/meal times, cleaning, homework, after school activities, elderly parent care, etc. Makes the 40 hour work week seem heinous. Still found the content very helpful and clarifying.
Honestly who invented the 40 hour work week? Why do we all agree to live this way?! Also why is it ok that the companies don’t pay for us to commute in? They should pay us for that!!
@@bunniewoodHenry Ford invented it and that was a reduction of hours. It was good and now we need another reduction to 30 or 25 hrs. PS: I wouldn't benefit from the commute pay, I work in home office. Still... 40 hrs is no longer appropriate for the time we are in.
Yes with the sleep. I’ve had 24/7 migraines for 20 years whilst working, raising kids and only getting 6-7 hours a night. During lockdowns I started getting 9.5 hours+ per night, like I needed as a teenager. Whilst I still have pain, aura and gut issues daily - I haven’t had a massive migraine in months! I’m still catching up, but prioritising my sleep is really helping me.
Megan, this is a fantastic realization to have about yourself. As a fellow migraine-haver, I'm so happy you're finding something that brings a little relief. ♥️
I know this is an older comment, but yes absolutely!! I have the same issues, I noticed that lack of sleep and large changes to my sleep schedule are probably my BIGGEST trigger for migraines. It's so hard, too, because I really struggle to fall asleep :( But people really tend to undervalue sleep in our hustle culture mindset world.
I never used to time block. But then I got a cousin and was trying to figure out how I need to use the weeks, said screw it and fully time blocked everywhere and everything I needed to be at. I’m a busy full time working mom of 3 (a teenager and two toddlers! With a husband who does not work a standard shift) By time blocking MY time in a week (cooking, chores, bath time and bed time routines, driving time to and from activities cause we live rural, EVERYTHING!) I truly got a picture of how little time I have to myself. This made me realize how much more deliberate I need/can be with my time without guilt. I had been moving through my days nebulously generally knowing I have 2 hours in most days unaccounted for, but physically seeing only two one hour blocks per day blew my mind!!! Also, made me feel validated in feeling overwhelmed and stretched thin!
It honestly just really helps to do this exercise to be able to SEE that. It sounds like you're doing SO much for your family and it's really worth it to remember that you are a priority too
Same here. Full time working mom of 3 (10y, 6y and 21mths) with my husband being a trucker so he is away from home about 2 days a week + in-laws and family leave in another country. I don’t even know how we manage all of this. Very overwhelming. (Digital) planning truly helps indeed 👍
I've tried to do this type of thing a few times, but always got overwhelmed at how full it made my schedule and it made me anxious. So while it's still overwhelming to see what you've done here, I like seeing a realistic schedule where it's also clear that as humans, we just don't get a lot of free time to ourselves. It really helped to see that a life full of "essentials" wasn't just a "me" thing.
Blacking out sleep was also really nice to see. I know that sleep is important, but in these instances when I realize how little time I have, it's incredibly tempting to impinge on my own boundaries.
I know this is an old comment, but she's made a video on biweekly schedules, and I think its incredibly helpful to recognize that we don't need to fit everything we want to do regularly into a one week timeframe. It's ok to spread things out over two weeks, or three weeks, or whatever time frame youd like to create for yourself, if one week is too small of a timeframe to schedule everything. That's something that's been very helpful for me, personally, and makes me feel like I have more breathing room
This is so helpful! I’ve watched it twice- the second time I started creating an ideal week! Now I’m going to take your advice from another video and step away from it for a few days to make sure I didn’t leave anything off my lists and when I return I will complete it ! Helps me make time so that I can achieve the goals I set, while being realistic with how much time I have outside of work and housekeeping/adulting.

I like the bold single-color clicker. Do you know of a frankenpen hack for something like that?
@@quartkneek3670 This is the only multipen that I use, so I'm not SUPER full of suggestions for how to make it work, but I do know that other brands of multipens will have brighter colors on their clickers (and jetpens is a great place to search for multipens, they have a ton of them. Hi-tec C Coleto was recommended to me by another viewer, and I think I read somewhere that the Coleto ink refills will fit inside a uniball multipen if you like, really break it? Not sure how though).
I always remember the black is to the right of the pencil, rather than looking at the actual colored clicker. But tbh, if I was having trouble telling my ink colors apart based on the clicker, I would just use some nail polish or a paint maker to make it more obvious to me! I'm not sure if that helps but hope it does!
Honestly your video may have been good…. I just couldn’t get past the slurping sound at the beginning.
😂😂😂
Seeing all that black scribbling stresses me out!
Sorry the slurping made me skip your video.
