that fat boost pot brings heaven xD nice tones tho, probably your gear plays a biiig role too. Tbh, nowadays it's so hard to to decide which aliexpress clones to buy, cuz it's full of 20-30$ pedals that are cloning famous brands (for example donner morpher distortion - cloning suhr riot distortion).

Might get one just for GAS, although I don't know how much I would need it since I'm more into post-metal (buch of overdrives stacked together and reverb/delays up the ass) and not so much into extreme-death metal stuff lol. Hey, maybe you could do a series about budget pedals like this one, the nux metal core, or tone/pedal recommendations for different metal styles. Still better than the katanas built in distortion and pedals. It's better on a valve amp vs the katana actually sold my 100w head because I was just using this on my joyo zombie.

I got it today and its the best sounding distortion pedal i ever had. It has exactly the sound i was looking for and with its control, it makes it very versatile for studio applications
Got back into guitar lats June after 15 years off.. after an HM300, a plexi crunch, Joyo extreme metal, and The SNitch (RAT clone)... I THINK I finally found the pedal with the sound I was looking for... and it's this Coolmusic pedal. Will order soon.
Somebody that actually knows how to demo a pedals controls! I hate these people that set everything at noon and then randomly turn knobs while not playing. Then they don't get good tones. lol
Taylor glad to see your Demo! I should of told you I've been using mine mostly on two different Amp types. One is an older Laney TF-700 Hybrid and the other is a Marshall g100r and yes it's a solid state they are my home practice heads. For some reason the pedal really comes into it's own and it's functions are totally different then when used with my Marshall V/M 2266 and my Laney GH50L I still haven't tried it with my Laney AOR, or my Modded B-52 as of yet. Again good demo have a good one.
I thought demoing on it's own as a preamp would be interesting. In retrospect I should have included a demo using it as a boost, but typically I like higher gain distortion pedals bypassing the preamp. Thanks again for the suggestion!! 🙌🙌

I have this pedal & I dialed it to get that late 80s hair metal slick Crunch tones! I paid $25 on eBay. Well worth it , just add an OD & ur set 🎅🎸
