If Lord & Miller had emotionally abused the animators, than that would’ve been a crime. However, because only a 100 animators over a movie that’s been by a billion people, 100 animators is pretty much a small percentage, meaning the rest of the animators didn’t have this problem. You got to remember that animation takes time, and as such the animators have to work hard to work on the movies as they can. Even the good animated movies have people quit the studios after working on an project. Because It’s just how the business works.

Phil Lord and Christopher Miller’s Response Actually isn’t that bad. They were just proud of their crew. I do love them. But However, they need to improve their behaviors and treat their animators better in Beyond The Spider-Verse or make an apology message to them. But Thankfully, they deserve a break after they finished Across The Spider-Verse. So the third movie will come out in 2025 or more realistically, 2028.
I wouldn’t say worse. At least they didn’t harassed women or dated minors like John K. Or Chris Savino. If anything, they’re way more nicer compared to the manipulative, snarky assholes at Nickelodeon.
