That Casey Jones Barrel Cut Double Barrel is delicious. It's their version of like a Woodford Double Oak or OF 1910. Visited that distillery when I was last out in KY and that ended up being my favorite from their line up. Bought a bottle and when I eventually got around to opening it my wife and I damn near destroyed it in one night. Buying two more when I go back. Cool to see them on a Georgia shelf.
Basil Hayden is low proof, bourbon flavored water. I have 6 bottles of the Early Times BIB with the black cap (Brown Forman). I like the new Sazarac blue cap, but prefer the black cap. $59 for a Knob Creek is fantastic. I have 3 bottles on my shelf. I have 5 bottles of Old Grand Dad 114. I found it for $19.99 in Wisconsin. 🥃
Larceny BP for days there. Its great stuff. Ps. stay away from Kentucky Owl products. Tater trap bottles with 30 dollar whiskey in them. The wonder bottles they made their name on are looooong gone.
I've seen two blinds that say otherwise! With that being said, I'll most likely never find a black top ever. There are so many other bottles that I enjoy more than early times anyway, I doubt I'll ever really care about it. If I happen to see one I'm sure I'll snag it out of curiosity though. Thanks for the feedback on that bottle!
Glenfiddich is solid. I’d recommend Lagavulin 16 a very well rounded and approachable peat, Glenmorangie 10, a light, sweeter, citrus malt, or Glendronach 15 a nice sherry profile. Balvenie and Compass Box are also two great distilleries, and Macallan and Highland Park are also two heavy hitters to try. Ardbeg 10 was life changing for me, like licking the inside of a bbq grill and getting slapped in the mouth with smoke. It’s powerful stuff, took me a couple pours to figure out if I even liked it (I did) 😂 Still love my bourbons Makers Mark was my first love, never thought I’d be drinking Scotch but 6 years later it’s a passionate love affair haha cheers guys 🥃
@@JazznRealHipHop I really appreciate the time you took for this detailed reply. I'll get the guys together and we will try some of your recommendations. Now you have me really curious about Ardbeg 10 too!
@@dwillis Yea, Catoctin is a VA based distillery and GWAR is from Richmond VA. I'm actually surprised they didn't work with Reservoir Distilling which is in Richmond.
Bought the Balcones True Blue thinking it was bourbon. It’s not it’s corn whiskey and apparently it’s not for me. Did not like it at all. Probably going to give it away.
Cool video looking at bourbons. That bookers would be cool to have it’s a cool case and interesting bottle. That knob creek 12 is also on my list and that Frey ranch and so many others.
Basil Hayden “top shelf Wild Turkey” 😂 And my friend, please never spend $300 on a Knob Creek 12-Year. 🫢 Made me happy you found your Old Grand-Dad. It’s crazy how different areas can be. That bottle sits on the shelves where I am, yet I can’t find Cask Strength Redwood Empire anywhere.
I was happy too! And yes, lesson learned on the basil based on getting totally roasted in the comments over it 😂 It’s crazy how different availability is from state to state. I get a lot of comments yelling at me about walking by a larceny BP. I’m like “those are everywhere.”
Catoctin Creek is very good... especially that bottle. Out of Virginia.
Basil Hayden is just low proof ogd
Noah’s Mill is Willet juice
GWAR is a metal band
GWAR collaborated with this bourbon.
@@Whiskey_Wisdom if I see it may have to try it…I got a Blackened (Metallica) while I was in Louisville last month so might as well
Should've went to Georgia Liquor Barn in Cumming
Thanks for the recommendation, we'll add it to our list to check out.
Anyone else notice that maker's slam dunk
Distribution is wild. Y’all are drowning in Eagle Rare, but can’t find OGD114. Up in Maryland it’s the exact opposite.
Basil Hayden is Jim Beam
Not trying to be a annoying know it all I really enjoyed your video.
@@ghatmen300 not annoying at all! Thanks for the info, we are always learning and know we don’t know everything. Thanks for the correction.
Absolutely not annoying. Thanks for the heads up. My mistake!
Clyde Mayes 8 year , unreal , thick syrupy 114 proof
Hill rock has some really good bottles in my opinion.
ok, I'll add them to our radar the next time I see one!
when did 114 become the Golden Goose?? was there an anouncement that they are not making it anymore or something?
The larceny bp and the Baker’s 107 I saw at the second store are solid bottles

woodford double oaked is my daily drinker. I'm going to snag a bottle of this for sure based on your feedback.
I'd get all of these: EC Store Pick, Eagle Rare, Larceny BP, KC 12, Penelope Architect
You actually really missed out on the Catoctin Creek bottle …. It’s a limited release that you typically can only get at the distillery
We'll have to go back and see if it's still available.

lol @ basil hayden. I guess there's a reason that's been sitting on my shelf untouched for years :) $19.99! WOW!
Bourbon, 30 is J. Mattingly.
AH! Thank you!
That Blaum Brothers is from here in Galena IL. It’s a tasty pour, I recommend picking it up next time you see it. Great content! Keep it coming!
Thanks for the info! Next time I see it I will snag it.
Nice haul 👍

Blue top early times is better than black top. Don't fall for the hype.

Yep blue top early time is better made bye Sazerac
Not every bourbon UA-camr is right
I think it’s still BF stuff. Or that’s what I’ve heard. I got three black tops when I heard they were selling out. Probably trade them later on.
I disagree. I like them both, but I have 6 bottles of the black cap and prefer it over the blue cap.
I got a place that has cases of black top
Wtf, that place has over 15 cases of Larceny BP and I can't even find just one bottle. Plus those prices are on point! I'm moving back to Ga!! 😅
lol, I see it so much at every store, I don't even notice them anymore. I didn't even realize they were hard to find.
Could y'all maybe do some hunting videos in Snellville, GA and/or Cumming, GA please?
Sure thing! We'll add it to our list of things to do!
No Scotchy Scotch? 🥺
We havent developed our scotch pallets yet.😊
My face still grimaces thinking about JW18 flavor notes. What are some scotches we should try? We all liked glenfiddich 15.

"Gwar Rye" LOL.

I just checked on their website and it actually says: "RAGNARÖK RYE - SINGLE BOTTLE Collaboration with GWAR" HOLY CRAP I WAS RIGHT!!!!
