not really, i commented this when easter had just started
for some this is the last week of easter (like me)
I haven't started studying yet for GCSEs and my first exam is on 16th may. usually I'm so prepared but every time I sit and do hours of studying its only a dent of my revision! is it too late to do well??
I've always made a brainstorm of the 3 main parts of the exam, and then braned off into the subsections and then I do them one by one.
NO!
I literally was in the same boat as you, but i had to resort even further to doing all-nighters before the exams (so not going to sleep at all until i did the exam and then sleeping and repeating that cycle for the next one), but I still aced my exams!
The KEY is prioristising what YOU need to learn most, you probably can't learn everything now, so the most important parts (but still try to cover everything if you can). And also make sure you actually do the work in class, as this will cut your revision time in half because you would've already done it before coming home after school.
Lastly, don't leave stuff till last minute next year in a levels (like I have right now) as you can't wing it like GCSEs. GOOD LUCK!
Hollie Johnston Not at all! Think about it this way; if you study a topic for an hour two days before the exam, that topic might come up on your exam! And here's another thing that calms me down, there are 24 hours in a day!!! 24! You have so much time! Just calm down, stay focused, say goodbye to your phone and social life (just until exams) and slaaayyyy your exams!
Hollie Johnston This is literally me right now 😅 Mine start on may 15th and I feel like my revsion kust isnt good enough! Honestly, (have to tell myself this everyday) just keep in mind that it is quality over quantity and so 30 mins of focussed revision is SO much more worthwhile than forcing yourself to a crazy 5 hours where you are too distracted to actually work! I hope your GCSEs go well - wishing you all the luck in the future - keep on going with tge revision, everything counts xxx

Honeslty, GCSES aren't as bad as they seem and they don't expect you to revise literally 24 hours a day. Do the best you can and leave time to relax. I promise you you'll get the grades you want without an unreal amount of revision.

Same! We get told to revise for two hours everyday, but I come back home and collapse into my bed, or even the sofas first thing. Then I wake up two hours before school in the morning...

Hi, love this vid. Though seriously, 5 weeks is a lot of time to let you go into detail for you topics and do practice papers. I don't know what revision hype your on, but seriously calm down. Ive just started my easter hols and I'm probably gonna finish all of my theory and exam practice before the end. Not hating but your harsh opinion could be unhealthy to some students.
To everyone here who is in the same boat as me (GCSEs in less than a month and having done barely any revision) let's actually do this. I believe in every single one of you so let's get this shit out the way and move onto the next phase in our lives. Also remember you aren't alone!

doing GCSE's next month, and although I work so hard, I'm very unmotivated and every exam, and for the mocks, I basically had to re learn everything. in most my subjects. I do well generally, and used to get v high grades, but for mocks I mainly got B's which is unlike me, 2 A* s in my fav subjects, one of which is art SOO,,, and then an A, just, in my Spanish. the rest wasn't brill and I'm kinda worried
I've also been trying to do Flashcards and stuff for eng quotes and stuff, but I've realised that's gunna take FOREVER, and with science, i still don't have revision guides and I don't know what to do! I'm having to re learn it all again in like under 2 weeks >~

Hi Eve ! I was watching an earlier video of yours, and you mentioned that you struggled to revise English Lit. As an A2 English Lit student I totally understand - I'm planning to study it at degree level, and am predicted an A*, so I wanted to share what I've learnt with you. For each text, I make flashcards. Firstly I do key themes, with quotes fitting under those themes. This sets you up to answer questions on literally any theme that comes up - just use the themes outlined by your exam board. Then I do context points, keeping them as general as possible to make them easier to use in an essay! Then I make AO4 cards - in which you can write about other work by the author, and whether or not the points in your texts are typical of their style. To finish off, I make cards with methods frequently used by the author, which is great for when you're writing about language and exploring quotes. Hope this helps!

I have done literally NO revision yet and my exams are in 5 weeks, are there any subjects which take less time to revise etc.? Prioritise the important subjects so you can smash them and ignore the pointless subjects.
