Buying Willow Springs is a big investment that she alone couldn't afford. Any investors will want to work with someone who has experience in managing and operating a race track. Which she doesn't have.
The seller of WSIR is requesting offers by July 19. Promoting a race track is going to be an even bigger part...experience alone at running a track is worthless. Look at the current situation the track is/has been in.
As within every partnership the partnership members have the control jointly.
Emelia doing big things with a major manufacturer is always a blast to see! cant wait to see all the cool things this project will bring on!
Since I work in development at the big 3 I have a good idea of what the GTR is. Most likely an engineering car which go to the crusher when all testing has been completed. They have no Vin # because its ONLY purpose is to test/develope things for production. Engineering cars have their own storage area and considered super high priority with crazy security. Lastly, everything is tracked and tagged. Getting this kind of clearance is literally insane and incredibly rare so hats off to Emelia. can't wait to see this project come together.
Exactly my thoughts. It was a test bed car. I know that Tom Bailey got the demon Durango that he made a drag car.
a great market play by Nissan ,use an Inett star to race a new test car ,useing a car that would otherwise be scrapped or hidden . a win all round I think .
Sounds a lot like the Hellcats Dodge gave to Tavarish and Alex Taylor. Then stripped them to shells and returned for crushing.
Yea westin got a hellcat or demon press/test car from dodge and all they wanted back was the chassis to crush because it didnt have a vin. He completly stripped the car and sent back a bare chassis lol. i dont remember what he swapped the drivetrain into though.

I still drive a 1996 Nissan 200SX-SER that has over 235k miles on it, 5 speed stick shift still beats most newer cars off the line.. doesn't burn any oil and gets 28-34 mpg at over 5200 ft ele... I still love that car!

Getting weight to the back for traction needs to be a priority. Maybe you move the radiators to the back and have a roof scoop sucking air into the trunk. Then you can take up all of the front with turbo intake.

Okay, I'm guessing the most logical assumption about the GT-R that I can come up with is, it was probably a pre-production test car that ended-up up being a press car that was never meant to be sold to the public and destined to be crushed since it MAY NOT have a VIN number. That's the only thing that makes sense to me as to why a car that seems to be in great shape is about to get hacked to death.
These cars are valuable to you and me, but not to the manufacturer.
Means nothing to Nissan to scrap this car.

I hope so. Otherwise it doesn't make sense at all. The R35 comes close to perfection. The Z is cool, but not worthy of Godzilla. Nissan should have just provided the drive train or parts necessary. Personally I can't watch this anymore. It's sacrilegious. Rich people and manufacturers trying to be cool and not giving a sh*t. I hate this side of UA-cam 🙄

A. a "press car" is like the C8 Z06, e-Ray cars GM/Chevrolet delivered to Emilia for use; thus with "Manufacture" license, plates/tags. Registration, insurance; certainly with a VIN
B. As with GM/Chevy C8, there are no such "prototype" nor "pre-production" vehicles anymore, except the few "first production" for complete testing.
So, Your attempted claims are baseless falsehood, though some of the ideas could be useful within the actual reality.
This car would NOT be "crushed", but this use, as given to Emilia Hartford is appropriate post the "Press car" use.

This is probably, in my opinion the most exciting build series on UA-cam right now! Just need lots of updates on it.
I say copy the carbon lip, skirts and rear bumper valance, and if you pop a spoiler on the rear, take the tiny strakes on the spoiler end plates and implement that into the back of the Z!

The build is going to be interesting, especially considering that Alpha 22 packages are available for the GTR, which usually make above 2200 hp with sub 7 second passes

I get that Nissan is driving this, but it just seems wrong to cannibalize the GTR for any reason. The company must have had a crate GTR motor laying around to do this with?
It's probably a press car that they can't legally register and sell. Tavarish had a similar situation with a Hellcat last year.

You seem to have a valid point, though did not express it properly, correctly.
Sponsors, meaning proper companies, corporations, producers, are selective, choosy with those they sponsor.
However, Valvoline does sponsor Rob Dahl, who lacks significant proper knowledge, expertise,, mechanics, mechanical, electrical, etc., yet has developed a large 'following' on this platform ! There are others similarly with major sponsors, along with common sponsors among the many 'automotive'-motor vehicle channels
BTW: StdOlInt control all petroleum oil production, manufacturing worldwide within brands which are common, mediocre level; incl: vlvl,cstrl,mbl/exn/chvrn,pnzl,as,tex/hav,kndl,snco,arc,mtul,bp,totl,phlp66,snclr,mrthn,uncl,shl,glf,et al

why have sponsors when she has Nissan sending her 2 brand new cars and telling her to have fun with them. In the past GM has sent her all the brand new C8's before they came out to drive.. The stated goal is a quick, drag racing Nissan 300Z; thus obviously Hissan components with allowable other aftermarket modifications as other shops achieve with a GTR, etc.

Note: if You have the mean, funds, sponsor to build YOu "drag racing vehicle" then accordingly You can shoes the components, certainly if You have the funds, or given full control
For drag racing, you definitely need to use a solid live axle on that yellow car. 4 link, new rear tubs and strip the interior. Delete the factory front suspension in favor of a hand built drag front suspension. Just cut two big holes in the stock grill.
I came cause I can dig emelia trailblazing, stayed for Sandy’s fun comments and just being a genuine guy.
Seems like a few are missing: 2 Corvettes, Ferrari, Lamborghini, GT40, Stock Car, Mustang, Camaro and I'm probably not remembering all of them.
Backing by Nissan is huuuuge! They gave you 2 pretty much brand new cars! Amelia attracts well known big names. She's going well beyond just automotive UA-camr!

This has to rank among the greatest accomplishments in her entire career. When she said she was being backed I was actually shocked. i thought she would be testing the cars or something. I didnt know she would be building a drag car. That is amazing to be working with Nissan again after Grand Turismo. I almost don't want her to strip the GTR, but I know that build is gonna be insane

GTR parts car? Not a sentence I thought I'd hear. NGL I shed a tear.
Mentioned an R34 at my local Nissan dealer. They said they don't sell them cause mechanics have to go to a special school on the engines to be able to work on them. So, don't be too surprised how this project ends up.
I remember watching your videos in the carport of your appartment and you had that clapped out air ride on your car that would always kill the battery and hardly worked, now all the way to here!! Hell ya brother!
This is a fantastic concept
You just have to make sure the rear subframe is prototyped out to a steel subframe to combat flex on rwd drag cars
1500-2000hp will be a challenge on E85. The Methanol comment was more in the realm of 2k. Then you can loose the radiator and more room for power adders. You want to go fast need to go big.

I’m a Z fan. First had a 1988 300ZX and now have two 350z’s; a 35th Anniversary with high rev engine and a 2004 touring roadster that’s still near mint. The new stuff is out of reach but I’m so happy with the ones I have. All stock.

Replace the Chassis of the GTR from a totaled one and drop in a built engine! Then you would have a badass Z and GTR!

My first car was/is a 2002 Senta SE-R. Told myself, not buying another car until I get my dream car. So, now as a proud owner of a 2016 Nimso GTR (purchased used), this is going to be hard to watch. I will for sure, but tears might be shed. On that note, I could use the front splitter if you don't plan on using it... 😅
If it’s doable I feel like scrapping awd will be a net negative. This will be interesting, but I still love you Amelia.
Run the air cleaners out of the headlights. I did the same on my boosted CRX and it looked amazing and performed great

I'm not a NISSAN fan (I remember when it was DATSUN) but I am super excited to see this project. 👍
I am normally a fan of the Z cars, going to pick up a 280 tomorrow actually, but not sure I'm a fan of that one. A little too clean of a body, no hood bulge or vents, or recessed lights...so I really like the idea of keeping some of the styling ques from the GTR, also not a fan of cutting up the NISMO...but looking forward to the build. If you get to keep the gtr you should park down the motor from the Z into the GTR just to keep it alive and running
