I remember that disaster.
HOW DO SAM! you should interview Christopher Atkins mate. He is a filmmaker and was a prisoner at Wandsworth. Wrote a book on UK prison system called 'a bit of a stretch'. Really interesting read and i think it'd be good content! All the best! I SEE THEE

How Do. I totally agree with you about "Reform" schools. I was sent to a place called Warleigh near Bath 85-87 when i was 14-16. I was part of an experiment where six of us lived in a house with a member of staff sleeping in and "looked after" ourselves. It was amazing at the time. We lived like rich students at Oxford or somewhere, with all our clothing and meals and laundry provided. Unfortunately it taught me nothing about the life to come. I was homeless 6 months after leaving school and didn't have a clue what was going on, how to look after myself, how to budget etc. By some minor miracle I have avoided prison in a life lived underground drenched in criminality (I'm out of it all now). Most of my best friends (who aren't dead) have been to prison. Thanks for making your videos. I came across Marv a few times in the early 90's but I doubt he'd remember me. Best wishes and take care

How do.
Need to get into schools and educate and equip kids with life skills such as the legal system including police, prisons, probation etc....banking and how to take care of money. This type of education should be delivered by people who have been there and done it and got first hand experience..

Do you think it’s right that when you get a sentence from the judge you no your not going to do the full time ? And why in America they give out longer jail time ?

Sam, who determines what prison a convicted prisoner goes to? Does it come down to locality or is it availability??
Also if you end up in Strangeways for example, do you remain there for the duration of your sentence? If not, why would you be moved? Can you appeal a move?

@@leemarvinhitchmanciaratell3450 100% agree with you there marv that's not grassing at all, imo any crime against children, women and vulnerable is not grassing, not a chance in my eyes. Your right that we should try and rehabilitate these offenders as they will be back on the street, but marv mate, I don't think they can be. But as you say what else can we do. I just think...well you what I think lol. Maybe up the sentences for said offences to life with a starting rec of 20 and no more vp wings to hide in, 20 yrs on the normal wings. Wouldn't happen but its a start, it might make them think.

Problem... how can they do the coursework with no skills and ability to do so? Being illiterate yet can line and scale up a bank, in and out, empty it in minutes. Requires bigger balls than me lol.
