  • Between the year 2000 and 2008 I spent lots of time in and out of Exeter Prison.
You spend a lot of time stuck in a very small space with someone who could be unpredictable. It's not a bad prison on the whole, but I was always glad to get outta there!
I made a diary of my time in and out of prison. It's here if you want to listen :

This is bringing back memories..... I was at Exeter in 1999 young offenders wing for about week an half then shipped out to portland young offenders then wen 21 went back to Exeter on adult wing for bwt couple weeks then shipped to channings Wood.... All I remember is 23 hour bang up didn't have a TV until I went channings wood.... Food was terrible never slept so much..... portland was totally different very strict and violence was happening every day.... Good video by the way all the best.

@Leeds United John The only people that say that are people that have never done time. Obviously places like America can take it to the extreme. But anyone who has ever done time will tell you the old them died at that prison gate the moment it closed behind them. Either for the good or the bad. The experience is mind scarring at the very least.

Why would anyone put themselves in a situation whereby you'd end up in a place like this. I suppose people can blame their childhood or something else or drugs or woe is me. The world doesn't owe us a living. Life isn't perfect, there is no such thing. If people do have a so called perfect life, sometimes there is a situation that occurs and they can't cope with it it because they've never had to.
