this is such a great video! I've been practicing for YEARS and I cannot figure out binds. I think I have poor internal rotation of the shoulder but im not entirely sure... but now I understand the mechanics so much better and will work on my mobility. thank you!!!!!
I'm a beginner to yoga, this was a helpful video. I imagine my problem is a combination of short arms and extra body fat for me right now. I will definitely try with a strap!
4th reason is I came back again after losing some weight. Ive been struggling for weight gain n loss several times. Each time i reached the 130lbs mark bind w open shoulders is always possible. If i go beyond tt weight is perhaps the thicker thighs preventing my bind. N also many other poses no matter how hard i try, losing pounds goes into seeming easier

Definitely there are more reasons binding may not be possible, I just touched on the common three
"...Or pretend you're using a strap." 🤣
