I have one of those power supplies, I don't think they are fully isolated. I've never had an issue.

You could be right. It says it is but for the price. Maybe they are isolated based on voltage? Haha one day I’ll open one up :D

Isn't chorus time-based?

That’s a good question. Because there are copies of signal connected to an oscillator it is a modulation effect. Normally it’s the copies that are pitched different that you can changes the rate :D
