Joyo/Guitto recently sent me a pedalboard to try out. So today I was 'bored', and thought I would have a crack at setting up the board.
See if you can pick out the major mistake I make, before the video is over!

I have the smallest board in this series. The trickiest part about this set up is making sure the the blocks don’t block a pedal input, and some pedals have their inputs in awkward places.I generally find two blocks per pedal is enough for my purposes. Although I found I needed to order more blocks because I fit a lot of pedals into a small space. The board handles get in the way of the inputting the guitar and amp leads too. So you might find you need to remove them.

I do not know one musician that hasn't messed up a set up. Great vid. It shows newer players how easily something can go wrong and how to trouble shoot it. I have messed up more pedal boards than i care to remember. It taught me a lot about proper order for the specific pedals, cable management and trouble shooting. It also shows you some problems that you may not be able to control. Some pedals sound better in different places in the chain regardless of the established wisdom of where they should go.

thanks man! my last pedalboard was actually a lot more complicated and involved a line selector and different routing. I was trying to keep this one straight forward, and messed up LOL :)

I was just about to buy my first pedal board today. I thought had an idea what I wanted. But I must admit I like the idea of this particular system, with the screw in blocks to hold the pedals in place. Very tempted.

I got an Aclam pedal board with a very similar track system. Did not know other brands were making boards like it.

Cool man! That board looks pretty interesting. I think I prefer velcro still but I would really like to try one out! I wonder how well it would work with my boss switcher, or maybe that would be too big. Cool editing Lando cheers man!

@@landonbailey lol , I had a guy called Nick Williams here in England build me a MkI Tonebender Fuzz with nos Mullard germanium transistors & Hunts capacitors (as used on the 60's Vox version) . He kindly added an led and a jack for power but stressed not to use the standard Boss type modern adapter. Still awake ? ☺️
